Scot St hillair is the WORST person we've EVER worked under. He rips off clients, lies constantly, takes credit for good and turns credit when he's wrong. He owes us 5 figures, and he WILL NOT PAY.
BUYER AND SUB CONTRACTORS BEWARE!!
Now, because we wont except 6000 LESS, he wont pay us.

As you can see from all of the other comments on this page Dirigo Property Services is a very poor choice of businesses to become involved with they make all the promises you would ever want to hear to get you on their staff and doing their work then they spend the rest of the time coming up with ways not to pay you from what I can see they are an open scam artist with years of experience of how to mystery people and force them to work for free. If you're looking to go broke and be embarrassed to tell your friends and family that you just worked for 2 weeks for zero money then by all means sign up with Dirigo if you respect yourself and take pride in your work and expect to be paid fairly for hard work do not have anything to do with this company because they will cheat you

This company is the back charge kings of the industry. Where they do have ALOT of work they also have trouble getting it completed due to the way they hire/fire and treat the sub contractors. They are liars poor communication every review I have read here are all the same in essence. The clients are looking to get rid of them which is coming soon. They are also the lowest paying in the industry and for the headake u have to put up with its not worth it.
If u want to be used abused n fired n work for low pay Dirigo is the place to be

This company I had the misfortune of working for them or should I say be a slave their stupid lies and unrealistic expectations. I was told that I didn't have to worry about being late on work orders as they were given to me already late or within a day of being so . I was sent to a snow removal of a driveway that was at least 300 ft of hard packed snow , I was told that even though it was that long i would only get 25 dollars, Not even close to a normal charge form a contract plower. I was told at another job which took 2 plus hours for a home inspection and a snow removal that even though I did the house inspection i wasn't going to be paid for it because i was already there so that was free. Another job 1.5 hours from my house was a snow removal on driveway and roof and A home inspection When I got to the property and after taking 30 or more pics I discovered that the lock on the front door the only door I was supposed to us and that the key fit , The key was broken in the door handle . I called the recruiter and was told to not do the inspection but do the roof snow removal and the driveway . The office manager told the recruiter that i was to do the work as described with the exception of the inspection because of the key. I did the work . The recruiter and I did that required paper work that night after a 10 hr day or field work and the invoice turned in was for 275.00 dollars that I was to be paid .. Needless to say they came up with bull$#*! reasons and made stuff up so that I wouldn't get paid . I complained and the owner Scott St Hillaire shut my noggin app off so that i couldn't prove that I was owed this money . I did print off the invoice and the bids completed but I have yet to be paid the money for my hard work , If you want a company who treats you like a piece of $#*! and who will do anything to screw you out of you money try his company out if you take pride in your self and work hard and expect a fair wage for that hard work then do as so many of us who attempted to work for this dishonest company, run and I mean run fast delete them for your fb site and beware .from a burned exworker for scott St Hillaire and Cherie both crooks I told the recruiter at my interview that I had no experience as a carpenter and they wanted me to do roof inspections and bids and possible replacements never mind the mold and mildew and the most disgusting houses you will ever enter . They want you to go into the pig styes and clean them out while they sit in their office and collect the money that you are due with no expectation of giving you any !!!!!beware beware

We started working for them, the first day 40 work orders added, and almost half were late. We were told don't worry, just do them as you can. So we started, following the work orders directions. We ran out asses off for three days, then it started. Scot St Hilaire started sending them all back for this and that. Needless to say it's a followup, now 15% will be deducted from measly pay already. Not to mention, even though they said to not stress and get it done as We can, the texts started coming about when they will be done as they are late. We were sent to a house over an hour from us to check a meter that was never there. REALLY? They remove pictures that were added, then say there's no pictures of the things needed, when they were there. One work order we did had over 40 pictures, when he sent it back it had 9......WHAT? Are you kidding me? I wish I had seen a few of these reviews beforehand. I guess it shows what someone will do when desperate. Trust me, stay away from this crooked company or you will be more desperate.

I tried contracting for this company but It was almost impossible. Every day the owner sent nasty emails about late work orders when they were given to you late. I would receive a 3 to 8 work orders a day that were already over a week late in the afternoon and he would expect them to get done that same day. Well there's only so many hours in a day. If there wasn't a street sign to take a photo of you wouldn't get paid for the job. Even though you already spent 3 or 4 hours getting to the site and completed the job. If you didn't take a photo just right you didn't get paid for the job until you went back to retake the photo. I spent 4 hours winterizing a place and they didn't like the photo of the pressure I took so I went back retool photo then they said I didn't bid correctly so I rebid. Then they said they never got the photos again. I never got paid for the job and I know for a fact someone else went and rebid the place, pretended to do the winterization which was already completed by me took pics and got paid for the job I did. This happens all the time with this company. I went to check the security of a place and when I touched the door handle it fell off. This is the type of people they pay. Not the ones who honestly care about their work. I would never recommend contracting for this company

Scot St Hilaire is a horrible human being. Has gone bankrupt so many times I'm surprised to still see the company named Dirigo. Horrible work and does not pay his employees!

They make promises they do not keep,
They change rules and screw with your pay.
The owner will not meet you face to face...only way of contact is thru email or text, or the occasional phone call.
There are 100 other companies out there that do the exact same type of work and pay 3 times as much.
If you are dumb then apply. You will soon get an education that you never knew existed.
You will work to pay him, and for his toys and vacations. You will be harassed over deadlines on jobs given to you 2 days before there are to be completed..
You are harassed if you don't except a job that is in your area, don't matter if you do not have the equipment, experience,or help to complete it.
If your late expect the minimum of a 50percent deduction in your pay and another 10 dollars a day till its complete. And wait there's more. If the client company suppling, dirigo with work fines him, you pay that penalty to. You may work as a sub contractor and call yourself a business owner but when working here, you don't own nothing you are in charge of nothing. You are expected to work everyday, mainly because you get work so late that sometimes it ends up do on the weekend. So if you want to avoid friends, family, camping, vacations and want a stressful life and no money. By all means apply here
If you want to feel human and like you own something and wanna be proud of it,run away from this place as fast as you can, and don't look back.
Communication is key they say. But don't matter what you say. Your wrong. It's a company that runs on the ideals of its my way or the highway. And the famous slogan I've heard said to people by people who have worked here, and I'll quote them
"YOU HAVE A HIGH VOLUME OF WORK, NOW YOU AREN'T GOING TO MAKE MONEY ON EVERY JOB, BUT IF YOU DO ENOUGH IT MAKES UP FOR IT AT THE END OF THE WEEK"
Now I understand that, but that is when they need to stop cutting the pay down into basically 3rds on most things.
Cause it works like this 1/3 for them, 1/3 for the company, and 1/3 for the employee
So example 90 dollar recut on a lawn mow
Under 15000sf you'd get 25 dollars
Up to 25000sf you'd get 30
Over 25000sf but no more than an acre 35 dollars
Forget a picture? Forget to prove the lawn was over 2inches? Forgot to use there app to load photos?now you lose money...2hr drive to go retake that picture...now your in the hole
Partially your fault yes...but if the pay was there you could absorb that with no problems.
But the kicker is when your out on the job and you complete it on time and turn it in. Now it comes back and says you didn't so this and this. Your now standing there scratching your head cause your looking at the work order you printed and the one they kicked back to you, and what do you see? That it is now different it's been changed cause they forgot something, but you have to go back, fix it and not get paid for it..
So once again turn and run, tell all your friends to stay away, and never talk to them. They are the black plaque of the property preservation industry.
Worst part about it I've never worked for them. These are the things I've heard from friends who have and other property preservation companies that here the name dirigo property services and laugh and tell you your dumb if you ever work for them.
So make your choice carefully it may haunt you!
