I placed an order for a small part about 6 weeks ago. I got an email ten days ago saying that my Oder status had changed to 'shipped'. Today when I went tO the USPS website to track the shipment it says it just shipped yesterday. I would never do business with this guy again! He also does not respond to emails.

I ordered an o-ring for my camera housing, and after 3 weeks I hadn't received it. My emails went unanswered and they don't pick up messages from their phone. Scam? I think so. I have filed for a refund with paypal.

After a month of trying to reach this Thomas Drayton (even got in contact with him at his job at Keller Williams Realty, said he would immediately look into my problem) but never heard back. He even deleted my reviews left on his website, the page that states they do not steal or scam people. Darntoothysam.com is a fraudulent, scamming site. Some people may have gotten lucky with using them, but they do not care about there customers in the SLIGHTEST. He may reply to this post saying I am not a real customer. I have an order ID, and a receipt sent to me by his website. I tried to be a customer, but this is shoddy, shady, business ethics, if he is indeed a real business. He bashes everyone that tries to get resolutions, and I won't have it. Thomas Drayton, thanks for giving the little business owner a bad rap. Please, shut your doors, take down your website, and stop making people fight to get something they paid for. So what you don't have a dam call center, or you don't price gouge the little people. I don't give a dam. At least those price gouging companies follow thru with what they are in business for.
I have requested Paypal to get my money back. I am within the 45 day window, and I am sure I will get it back without problem, since he doe'snt pay attention to his customers, he probly won't even reply.
I'm sorry that I had to give it one star, but it would'nt allow less than at least 1.

Right now I cannot make a positive recommendation based on my experience. I have ready many negative and positive reviews so I am not claiming fraud or anything like that however I am increasingly suspicious as nobody had returned any of my 5 emails or separate voice mail and all I want is my part or some type of status! I ordered a Canon EOS 20D Camera CF Card Reader Pins Repair Part so I could repair a camera as a gift for someone who cant otherwise get one right now and it was supposed to be for a gift this month..I ordered it on March 29th and not only do I not have the part but nobody will even acknowledge I am a customer. At this point I either want my part, or a refund. If neither I will turn to pay-pal to dispute and reverse the payment. Ive tried to be patient and fair but I don't appreciate being ignored.. especially the first time I have ordered!

I ordered a replacement screen for my Sony SLT-A77 camera on Sunday, Feb. 24, 2013 and even paid for the Priority Mail option to make sure I got the part in time for a photoshoot I had the following Saturday. Well; it's now 8 days later, I have had my credit card run for the amount of the part PLUS the Priority Mail I asked for and now NO part and haven't been able to get any word from him after 4 e-mails, 3 messages to his phone and leaving 2 messages via his websites "Message" account !!! Do I need to say any more.

I needed a part for a Canon 580EX flash and ordered and recieved it within the week (within 2 days actually) in plenty of time to make the repair and have it ready to use this weekend. I also communicated with Thomas via email and he responded same day to let me know the status of the order. Based on my experience I recommend them highly I will most certainly use www.darntoothysam.com anytime I need a part or repair in the future.

Every bad review that you read about this company is true. I sent my camera for repair in 8/2012. Three months later, no word at all as to its status. I understand the owner doesn't respond to emails (true in my case) and doesn't respond to voicemails (true as well in my case). What an interesting customer service model!
I read that he does respond to negative reviews on this website. In case you are reading this review, my order number is #18153. Please send my camera back to me so I can have it repaired by a professional company.

I read through the first page of reviews on this site and was astonished. But I think I understand your problem. Too much work. Your kind of like a middle man. You look like you order parts when you get the cameras or orders, causing many delays with your customers. I'm writing this review in the hope you will respond as you seem to respond more to these bad reviews than to your emails. I have an order #15643 and Would like to have my parts shipped to me but I'm guessing that you either haven't read the email with the order yet, ordered the part not in your stock and its taking several weeks/months to receive, or put it on the back burner as you have many other reviews to contest against. Either way It sounds like you have completed some orders/repairs so I am willing to wait a little while longer for some type of response. Note that I don't check this site, so you would have to respond to me by email (how? check your emails for the order number mentioned). If I don't receive a reply or the parts in a few more weeks I will have to call my credit card to action a return of funds. Which I will advise them to not do further business with your company. So you see all your problems will be solved if you start doing what we call customer service. I do know about this as I work in a service desk (taking calls and fixing problems). Thank you for your time and rapid response.

I received my camera in perfect working order with the repair service that I ordered completed. It took slightly longer than I anticipated (1 day shy of 7 weeks) to get my camera back. The site owner was mostly courteous and receptive of my requests. Except for the time it took, my experience was good.

So I got my item 2 months later, other than he hides the real date of delivery, they do sell everything for cheap. Order here if you have plenty of time available for you.

They charged my credit card more than a month before they ever even shipped my order. They do not answer their phone - or respond to e-mails requesting an update on the status of long overdue orders.
Do yourself a favor and find what you are looking for somewhere else.

The personal service Thomas gives makes this site all the better! It did take a bit to get my order, but as a single person running my own business, I fully understand that life can sometimes throw you a curveball and get in the way. Thomas was wonderfully professional and even 2-day shipped my order for me. Big thumbs up on my end, and I'll definitely order parts from here again!

I ordered a replacement part for my camera, which broke a week before my trip to Hawaii. This was one of the only websites that offered my part, so I ordered it and ponied up the dough for priority shipping, thinking that surely it would arrive within a week... Turns out the package was not even shipped until 5 days after I ordered!! Now I'm headed for the vacation of a lifetime without a working camera. Should've known better ordering from a website called darntoothysam!

Here's a chronology dealing with this company (person). Hopefully, someone will read this & avoid my horrible experience. Deal with this guy at your own peril.
7/30/12: purchased repair for broken camera LCD screen [via AMEX] from DarnToothySam via website & received a repair form & ID #.
7/31/12: shipped my camera to DTS via UPS insured [$500 value].
8/3/12: DTS acknowledged receipt of camera via email [status "awaiting repair"]
8/30/12: received monthly statement from AMEX noting charge from DTS dated 7/30/12
8/3 thru 9/20/12: tried many times to find out status of my repair via phone calls or email, with no response from DTS.
9/20/12: sent a certified letter to DTS requesting status of camera.
9/26/12: researched (belatedly) user reviews & blogs relating to DTS service issues.
9/26/12: contacted & reported a complaint to the Better Business Bureau [www.minnesota.bbb.org]
9/26/12: contacted AMEX to report a disputed charge
9/27/12: contacted local Burnsville police department [952.895.4600]. Officer was very aware of DTS & said he would send someone out to investigate my issue.
9/27/12: received confirmation from AMEX & BBB regarding my claims.
9/28/12: received 3 emails from DTS: 2 re. order has been shipped via USPS Priority & an order refund.
10/1/12: received non-repaired camera from DTS. THE BOX I SHIPPED NOT EVEN OPENED.
found a local New York City repair shop. Brought them the camera on 10/1, it was repaired perfectly on 10/4 for $25.00 less than DTS's charge.
Moral: Don't send valuables via internet until you have researched & read reviews, Plus I am an idiot who has learned his lesson.

This Darn Toothy Sam site was just on ABC News in Minnesota warning people about it. Your bestbet is to file a dispute with Paypal if you still can and go to the BBB for help. He listens to them because he has to.

I purchased an LCD screen repair service for a Nikon SLR digital camera on a Friday. On Tuesday I received an e-mail saying they were wainting for my camera to arrive. In less that a month I received an e-mail that my camera had been repaired and shipped. I received it in three days of the e-mail. The camera works as good as new. I am very happy with their service.

On June 4, 2012 I placed an order on this site for a part for my Canon flash. I received an order confirmation buy email. It is now June 21, I have emailed them 2x to inquire about the status of the order, to which I received no response. I have emailed them three additional times to inquire about the status of the order, to which I have had my emails bounce, which leads me to believe that my email address has been blocked by this company. My credit card has been charged. I am going to call them tomorrow, but I doubt that I'll get any satisfaction whatsoever. I will also be calling the Minnesota State Attorney General's office to file a complaint, and I will be working with my credit card company to cancel the transaction. Lousy lousy "company."

I immediately received a response and ordered the other item at a very reasonable price Any questions that I had were answered in a prompt, professional and friendly manner. After reading previous reviews, I cautiously ordered a memory door for my Nikon D90. The worst that could happen was that I loose $14. I was extremely surprised to find the package in my mail today. The correct part and that was the quickest delivery I have ever had. Took only a few working days. I would highly recommend this site.

Ordered a Nikon replacement battery door. After a couple of weeks waiting, I wrote an email and got an answer about delays. After yet another couple of weeks, they didn't even bother to respond to the next email.
