Not a very positive experience of this company at all I'm afraid.
Short version - They left me without a vehicle for a month and I have a 3 year old. Incompetent staff, incompetent leadership, poor communication, excessive pricing and poor, poor customer service.
Long version and rationale - I ordered a vehicle in January and was told in March that they didn't thave the colour that I'd ordered. I said that I didn't mind and would be happy with any colour. I then got a call a week later to say that my vehicle was no longer available. I prompted them (no proactivity) to look for a stock vehicle, they found one and I asked them to send me the quote. They didn't send it. I called the 3 times to ask them to send it and on the third occasion, at the beginning of March, they told me the vehicle had been ordered by someone else and they'd cancelled my order altogether. They told me there was nothing that I could do and offered no solution to help me find the vehicle I had ordered. I tried to complain but they didn't seem to have an organised complaint process.
At this point I found their CEO's email address and emailed them. Low and behold this prompted action and I was called promptly by Annika who was very helpful at first. Cut a long story short it took Annika 3 weeks to arrive at the same conclusion leaving me withour a car from today. I was so disillusioned with Leaseplan that I ordered a vehicle from another company who were around 25% cheaper and wanted to help me. I asked them to helpe me out for 4 weeks whilst I waited for my other car, either by extending my lease by a month or giving me another car. This was disappointing as Leaseplan told me on 2 occasions that the errors made were down to incompetence on their part and I was also told that one of the staff was no longer with the company in manner that indicates that it was related to incompetence.
I have been in touch with the BVRLA but as I'm not continuing as a customer of Leaseplan't they say that they can't help me.
Leaseplan told the BVRLA they'd offered me £250 off of purchasing my £11k car or £100 in shopping vouchers. They never offered the vouchers so I've since been in touch to get these sent out. £100 in shopping vouchers to compensate me for having no vehicle to take my 3 year old to nursery or to get to work, despite them admitting that all of the errors were their fault, and despite me paying the £35,000 over the past 5 years.
My company are currently reviewing their contract with Leaseplan and I have shared this with them. Historically I had good experiences but I would urge Matt Dyer to start thinking about what's right for customer's as my experience is the worst I have ever had from any company.

Really good service! Helpful with the process of buying with all the details. Always eager to reply and answer all of my questions. After the buy, some minor problems (battery and bulb to be replaced) were immediately solved by LeasePlan Bilsalg. Definitely recommended.
