They sell watches that aren't able to connect with your smartphone and do not give any support.
I tried in Dutch, in Belgium.
Tried the supportpage: 'page not found'
tried the belgian phonenumber: 'thanks for your cal'l, and that was it???

I have successfully used etrex 30 for the last few years. This year one of the buttons broke. I wrote email to Garmin support with the description and fotos. My intention was to pay for the repair. But Garmin support refused my proposal. They answered "we can't fix it" at this same mail presenting an offer to buy new one with 30% discount. It is completaly stupid approach, because the devices itself works properly. One broken button can not be fixed? Funny! This device is still in the Garmin portfolio...

my experience is with Garmin-Italy.
I have a 3yy old navigator and I asked the customer service if there was any possibility (meaning discount, limited map pack,...) to update the map w/o having to pay 50€ for just one update.
Their answer was the proposal to buy a new navigator whose cost is ... 175€.
Are you fxxxxg kidding me?

Garmin products and service are fine as long as the product works and you have no need to ever have dealings with Garmin support. I would like to add that I had a Garmin 520 for some 4 years without a problem. I purchased the Garmin 1030 this May and for the first 12 rides it worked fine. Then they did an update and it all went wrong. I have spent some 5 hours on the phone, countless emails and it is still unresolved to my satisfaction. My advice to anyone considering buying one of there products. Research the market and if there is an alternative. Buy it. If not. Pray it works and you never have the need to contact them.
