Bristol Street Motors.
Last June I decided to buy a used car from Bristol Street motors Northampton, I understood that I would pay a little more because it's a dealership but wanted the security of a big name behind the purchase just in case of problems later.
The car has been driven very rarely in the year totting up just 2000 Miles, not by a boy racer but by a 75 year old pensioner, so when it went in for its MOT I was not expecting too many issues.
How wrong can one person be, a list of things were pointed out to me that in order for it to pass the MOT needed doing, in my opinion no way could they been caused in the year by me.
I was told a full service had been carried out before my purchase but I now doubt that.
I have complained but now they have sold the car their answer is,wear and tear, which in simple language means they are not interested, I have, in my opinion, been palmed off by Bristol Street Motors

I went in to find out about a car that was advertised, we walked in and no one even looked up !
I had to shout Hello is there anyone I can talk to , no one battered a eyelid , the woman looked at me like I was something on her shoe , I would’ve walked out but my partner wanted to stay
Then a lovely man Jake looked up and asked how he could help , if it wasn’t for him I would’ve gone elsewhere I think their cars are overpriced anyway , we eventually bought the car we saw advertised
Also we didn’t need the finance !!
So just want to thank Jake because if it wasn’t for him I would’ve walked
The snotty people in there have no idea who they are dealing with and should change their attitude

Bristol Street Stafford branch.
So, I bought my little Fiesta in the summer which was fine, sales manager was excellent but it wasn't a difficult sell. Took out an extended warranty. No problems. However front tyres needed air every month. Took it to a tyre garage as the warning light kept coming on. Tyre garage found out the valves were leaking badly and would have been leaking at the time the car was handed over he thought. Was annoyed that this wasn't checked when the car was handed over to me. It's an very inexpensive fix I just ordered the valves off the internet and took them to be fitted, cost me £16.00 Second problem, electric window didn't work. Rang garage who informed me there may be a diagnostic charge of £80 if not covered under the warranty in addition to the work being carried out. I was not informed about this when I took out the warranty in the first place. Really unhappy as they couldn't give me any idea if the window would be covered. Dropped car in 8.00am one morning was contacted at 3.15pm same day to say still not sure if car would be covered. How long does it take to take off a door panel FGS Katie the call handler was very nice and I was very annoyed. Car ready next day under warranty. Was informed that I wouldn't have been charged this time an extra £80! Wanted to speak to the GM but informed he was away for Christmas and NY. I have contacted other members of the group and the £80 seems to vary from branch to branch so just be aware. Note to BSM Stafford - contact Nissan at Stafford for advice on how they treat their customers.
