Staff have always been great and its a nice atmosphere to eat. Very helpful helping me to determine what i can eat (allergies) and do their best to accommodate. Food is not amazingly authentic but its passable, still tastes amazing and very filling!

Bella Itália in taplow was the place for us for breakfasts when we were working away. Every morning with out fail the service was excellent! After ordering the first time on the Monday the guy knew what we wanted as soon as we entered the days following. Highly recommended!

RUDE AND UNHELPFUL. I CALLED CRANBOURN STREET ON FRIDAY TO ENSURE WE COULD USE VOUCHERS ON SATURDAY FOR A MEAL BOOKED FOR 4PM. THE WEBSITE CLAIMS VOUCHERS ARE NOT VALID FROM 5PM - 7PM BUT JUST WANTED TO MAKE SURE. WAS TOLD YES! GET THERE AT 4 ON SATURDAY, MANAGER SAID NO VOUCHERS ARE ACCEPTED ON A SATURDAY AND HE SIMPLY SHRUGGED HIS SHOULDERS WHEN I SAID THIS WAS NOT WHAT WE WERE TOLD ORIGINALLY. WE WALKED OUT IN DISGUST, BUT BY LOOKING AT THE FEEDBACK ON HERE, ITS NOT REALLY A SURPRISE

Steer well clear at all cost. Absolutely rubbish food and service.
Will never go back there again.

Haven't visited Bella Italia for years. Used to love it. Went today and ordered a salad. It was very tasty but very small, probably the size of a starter. It was£9.50! It was supposed to have roasted butternut squash...I assumed they would be chunks but I needed my reading glasses to find then they were so tiny! I was very hungry afterwards and if I hadn't had a voucher would have refused to pay full price. Won't be returning...

I would like to know why Bella italia thinks it is ok to discriminate against female workers, being told they can do jobs like decorating or polishing cutlery because they are a girl. To be called a f.....g moron infront of customers, being told to find cover for my own shift when in hospital with my 1year old, because the manager didnt want to. Intimidating female colleagues in corridors. Forcing me to resign due to bullying, and because i didnt want to transfer (as why should i), you let me hang on with no work or pay for 7 weeks until you decide i shall no longer work for you, then also lose my contract when i ask for it which includes all my personal data, and isnt worth investigating. Also why as a company you think it is acceptable to make staff sign to be a first aider in site when no one is actually given first aid training.

Dined at east kilbride bella Italia today. Really poor on so many levels. The lentil ragu was so concentrated with spice, it became more unpleasant with only a few mouthfuls. My fellow guest had salad leaves that were brown and looked inedible. The manager actually said this was ok and was very happy to serve this. Despite me pointing out I was in a restaurant and the quality was sub standard. He did not agree. Dined at so many great bella Italia, all over the uk but this is definitely one I wouldn't be going back to. Shocking! You let your colleagues down.

Walked into Bella Italia in Parrs Wood complex, Manchester only to be told that there would be a 45 minute wait to be seated as we had not booked. This was despite there being over ten tables empty. We found it unbelievable and upsetting after we had gone there thinking we would not need book as there was just two of us to celebrate our wedding anniversary in the two hours we had out of the house before our 7 month old needed feeding. Needless to say a disappointing and frustrating experience.

My husband and I visited one in Leeds junction 21, on 31 July, the service was terrible. It wasn’t busy but we still waited 40 minutes from the started to the main course. No staff came to us to explain they running behind, we were totally ignored. We will not be visiting there again and definitely won’t be recommending them.. absolutely disgusting. I emailed them the same night but still had no reply.. bad customer service

Popped in to Clifton Moor Bella Italia on the way to the cinema , waited an hour for mediocre food , many apologies from the waiter but simply not good enough , couldn't wait to leave . You cannot run a place as badly as this and expect customers

Visited a branch in Brighton and it was the most dreadful restaurant experience we ever had. We were seated for 2h 30m in the end, received warmish food throughout that was barely edible, the service and staff were slow and uninterested. Other seated customers were making jokes about how they were there since lunch. In the end we received our bill to discover that it was incorrectly calculated and we were charged £30 more than we ate. We queried this and it took a further 20 minutes to resolve. The cherry on top of the awful cake was that in response to a complaint I raised through their website, I received a templated complaint response talking about how sorry they were and a measly £20 voucher off our next meal there. Didn't even sign off with a name. Why on earth would I look to return to any of your branches?
I'm sorry but Bella Italia evidently does not hold customer service at the heart of their business, and I can see from the other reviews that I am not the only customer who had such an experience.

We visited Bella Italia in Coventry. The food was tasty, good quality for the price, especially with Groupon voucher.
However, I will never revisit due to the noise! I felt like in the train station, echo from other people's conversations, kids, plates, just a nightmare! We also had to wait to be served.
Shame, as food was good.

Dreadful from the word go and (wrongly) kept perservering with poor, miserable, lazy and dissinterested staff, started to realise something was wrong seeing staff trying to calm upset customers. Began hearing explanations of 'no pasta', no chicken etc .. delivery stuck on roof of the shopping complex (?) .. when starters eventually arrived .. the smalles bowl of soup i've ever been served in any restaurant ..maybe half a tin .. no bread .. and not very good in taste or texture. Garlic bread order that was just tasteless flatbread.
Main meal .. took an age .. very average spag boll and a calzone chosen in a rush as the pollo funghi had no pollo available ... no garnish except a bowl of tom sauce and a pretty half baked, uninspiring calzone.
£45 and a chunk of an afternoon very badly spent ..all in all. Very poor value, poor service, poor food .. never gracing Bella Itallia anywhere again.

Dined out at the lakeside branch I had the pescador risotto it was awful!! the rice was just a plate of watery mush and it was supposed to be in a creamy sauce the rice was so over cooked it was on the verge of being a soup, my husbands meal was much the same he had chicken with mushroom sauce more like mushroom glue and the potatoes were rock hard, both our meals served in a soup bowl, very very poor food and it’s normally lovely we have been going here for years, we haven’t been here for a while maybe a change of chef hence to say won’t be going here again. £60 bill for that awful meal, always come home and say we should have complained.

Been to Bella italia at hempstead valley twice now, both times we had very long wait but first time recieved apology and free drinks, last night a diffrent story, had to wait over 3 hours, ask for our cutlery, food was burnt (black), manager was so miserable no people skills what so ever and served by 5 different people, in other words DISGUSTING and a place to AVOID.You would be better off with a big mac.

I normally like eating here but I went to the one in Manchester in arndale building and the service was very poor and we have a voucher for 40% and it didn’t work just because the spice girls was on on the same day, very poor. It was packed and there was like 3 people on. My food was also a horrible presentation I had the duck pasta with plum sauce and it looked like I was eating meal worms the way it was presented like something of the im a celeb programme, I really recommend you change the look of this dish.

I am lactose intolerant and decided to visit the Salford Quays restaurant as I had heard it caters well for my dietary requirements. Never before have I been given a menu that is specifically dairy free. (usually, when I visit restaurants that are not Bella Italia, I would be given a vegan menu or a manual to read through, if anything at all is offered). Not only that, the choice was amazing! There are around 6 or 7 starters, probably around 30 main courses, and a few desserts. The menu includes meat, fish and vegan options and has a wide variety so would cater for anyone. I had the Pollo Barbecue Pizza and the Vegan Cookie Dough. Both were really good. This is the first time ever that I felt I could go and eat at a restaurant and didn't feel like I was being awkward or causing an issue for the staff. Yes I get that this is probably partly me and the way I feel, but I really felt like I could go to a restaurant like I used to before I could not eat dairy. Because of how much choice there is too, I feel like every time I go back, I can try something different. With other restaurants, I usually end up having the same each time. Just another point to add regarding the Salford Quays restaurant specifically, we were seeing a show at The Lowry just after our meal. Obviously the restaurant being across from there, it was very busy. The staff were absolutely brilliant, they were really polite and friendly, and the time we waited for food would have even been great if it hadn't been busy. I can say 100% that we will be back and Bella Italia is now one of our main go to restaurants when we are out. The only downside is that we don't have one closer than 30 minutes or so away. Please bring Bella Italia to Northwich, Cheshire :)

Went to hempstead branch today, was served by a lady called paula, she was attentive and down to earth, everything i could want in service staff. Also the food we had was perfect, the place itself was immaculately presented and clean.
Will be returning and recommending to anyone who will listen.

Had a lovely meal at the Ashton Moss restaurant. The staff were friendly the meal was great but what let me down was the use of sustainable bio plastic straws. Why not use paper straws which is far more ethical. Sustainable bio plastic is not good for our planet.

Would have been better off in Weatherspoons!
Service was exceptionally appalling! Waited forever considering it was quiet (that should of been a warning in itself)
Clearly a smile is none existent, talking wasn’t much better apart from the basic question, are you ready to order?
One of the party had coffee, wasn’t asked if sugar was needed. I had to go in search for a member of staff to ask.
When the meals arrived I wasn’t impressed on the appearance but thought I would give it the benefit of doubt but unfortunately it tasted as bad as it looked! chips weren’t all cooked to the best! the mozzarella pizza was as dry as toast! It Also looked like they may have run out of mozzarella for the pizzas that it had to be rationed out which didn’t go down nicely with dried up tomato.
I asked for some to tomato sauce, knowing I wasn’t going to be asked! Brought back the smallest amount which wasn’t not enough for one person, never mind 5. Again could of been a shortage on! But definitely not a shortage on the bill.
I gave up asking for anything else! If it wasn’t for a birthday meal out! I would of left without eating it but stayed reluctantly and paid my bill! upon my exit it also seemed manners of the staff were also on strike!
First experience in this chain and can honestly say it will be last!

The Beckton gallions reach branch I visited this evening was very poor service. Waited 10 min for plate. Then given a cut up straw that does not touch the bottom of glass. Also the food ordered polo alecrema was not cooked properly and was not creamy like it was supposed to be. Made the staff aware and was told nothing they can do. Very poor service. Was told things on the menu are unavailable and unable to use voucher code! Ridiculous wat a disaster for my both children and wife! Waited 35 minutes for the bill!!

Been a few times, the food is always amazing. Although there isn’t a wide range on the bar, maybe a couple beers, no flavoured soft drinks (or so I was told by the server), only coke, lemonade and soda. When I’ve been there is usually on 2/3 people working and it means waiting about 15/20 mins before orders are taken. So don’t visit if in a rush. Food has always been good, never had an issue or needed to complain. The chilli oil is to die for, as is the pasta with shrimp. Boyfriend had vegan & gluten free pizza and he really enjoyed it.
