Will not respond to me.
Due to a problem with the initial set up of my account, ADP did not file a timely quarterly payroll tax withholding with the state and now I have $3000+ in penalties. I have been trying to get this cleared up with them since May and I cannot get anyone from the tax division to respond to me. $3000+ is not much $$ to ADP but to a small business like ours, this is a BIG AMOUNT.

I would give zero if I could, my company has recently signed up to using this company about a year ago and since then it has been a nightmare to use. since being made to join as an employee, I’ve lost count of the times I cannot get access to my account! I like to use a unique password which is easy for me to remember, so when trying to enter and it says password needs to be reset not once but again and again I nearly lost it!
Even now at this point I set up touch login and it still asks me to reset my password and unable to gain access!! It’s the most infuriating piece of tech I’ve had to deal with. It’s ludicrous why you have to keep changing your password! It’s easier getting into my bank acount than it is a payroll account! Ridiculous!!

Horrible company. This company led us to believe that everything will be easier for us.
They promised that they would be manage 401K for a monthly fee and with no add ups. They do not.
They promised that they would manage healthcare and adding new employees.They promised us a smooth process. They failed every step of the way. They caused us to lose so much money because of their incompetence.
They promised they would handle our workers compensation. They forgot and failed to handle it.
They said their payroll processing would be great and they would have support for us. They lied and failed.
We signed up for their top tier HR and it has been a ride from hell.
We can't wait to get out and never return. They over promise and under deliver. They have caused us fines by the IRS and other problems.
I think that one day they will be taken to court in a class actions because of their incompetence and failure to live up to the promises.

Price-wise, adp is much ahead of other payroll companies. But you get what you pay for. If you are not a CPA or an accountant, beware. I trusted them, and got no explanations or direction... now I am getting explanations galore! I will need to get my accountant, of course, to correct what I "did incorrectly". Where were they with all their explanations when they were getting my info?
Neither do I receive any assistance. I am on my own.
NOT what I was told when their company was sold to me!

ADP is my pick for the worst company in the US. I had the misfortune of working for a company that used ADP as its plan administrator. I have experienced nothing but headaches from this company. They are unresponsive and callously indifferent to employees' needs. I have spent over 20 hours trying to get ADP to resolve a very simple issue and have been met with nothing but indifference. They have taken my money and not provided me with the services for which I paid.
Run away from ADP. Do not walk. Do not listen to their sales spiel. They will act friendly and helpful up until the point where you actually need help.

ADP may well be the worst payroll company in the country. They don't return calls and have lots of excuses. The departments work in silos so they are quick to say NOT MY JOB or point their finger. They don't get issues fixed. They are not cheap so my suggestion would be to look t other providers.

Since day one ADP has been a train wreck. Ran my first payroll on a new employee and never recieved a check. Had to pay cash a week late. Got a refund for issues.
I set up direct deposit so this wouldn't happen again, ran payroll, worked flawlessly. Employee was off for a week and I never ran payroll but still got charged for running payroll. ADP specialist recieved several emails in the last few weeks with questions and concerns and have not received anything back. Terrible service. They just want money. I terminated the payroll, employee will now get paid by business check and he will file his own taxes. Don't use ADP.

We are leaving after 15 years with ADP. The service quality has significantly decreased in the past few years. Lots of mistakes, even bouncing a payroll check, which is ridiculous. Reduced customer service times; a ridiculous phone tree; increasing charges while decreasing services; not "turning on" modules that we'd been paying for for 6 months already; the list goes on and on. Sorry ADP, but you need to worry more about retaining customers.
To Rick: I've already talked to a retention person several months ago. They said there was nothing they could do. Since then it's just been more hassles and problems. There are some great people there who will help, but unfortunately, attention to detail is lacking and we've had way too many issues to overlook now. Thanks for trying.

Paychecks Not Delivered on Time. Our recent payroll checks (real checks) were not delivered as reported by the delivery company, Deliver It. Deliver It states they put the package in our mail slot, but it was no where to be found. Friday afternoon I talked to ADP's customer support to have our payroll resubmitted and delivered on Saturday. This morning, Saturday, I called Deliver It to determine when our payroll would arrive. They are closed on Saturdays. Then I called ADP to determine the status of our delivery. They stated an error was made and our payroll was given to Delivery It, when it should have been given to UPS for Saturday Delivery. So now our employees will not receive their pay checks until Monday, Columbus Day, a bank holiday.

Having ADp go the payroll for my tiny, 5 employee, company has made life much easier. ADP has very good customer service with any questions. All filing are correct and on time. I have full confidence in their service. ADP software is easy to use and intergrated with quickbook which has save a tremendous amount of time.

ADP is good, but at times I get the feeling that not enough testing is done by the people who write the software. I use to get the payroll list that comes with every payroll and that is used with the next payroll to verify salary totals. That total and the total you get when doing payroll must match. So you all go from having that total on the sheet to now making me total it every time I do payroll. That's going backwards not forwards.
I feel it's the little things that matter. Little things all together make up the big picture.

Great service provider. The only problem I have is they charge me even if I don't run payroll. Being self employed the're times when I am not bringing in enough money to pay myself and yet I still get charged the processing fee.

ADP makes payroll SO easy. It is so user friendly and easy to access. I only have 2 employees and I can literally log on, do payroll and log off in less than a minute. Seriously!

Very helpful customer service!
Setup and integration was easy with ADP's help and any issues I've had along the way were quickly resolved by customer service. Program is easy to use as well. Very satisfied!
