I have been a client of Abbey Wealth for over 3 years living in the Middle East.I found Abbey Wealth gave me Sound Advice on my UK pension through Mr Iain Henderson who has offered great investment strategy and overall financial advice,I would recommend Mr Henderson highly.

I was born in the UK and my husband in Sweden. We met and married in Canada, living there for many years with our growing family. On retirement, we finally chose Abbey Wealth as our financial advisers. Both Ben Noifeld & Rachel Shearwood have been extremely helpful and have shown a maximum of patience as we looked at the various options open to us before deciding to go with Abbey Wealth.

I transferred a dormant occupational pension into a QROPS with Abbey Wealth about eight years ago. In that time it has grown about 23% overall so has kept pace with inflation which was my intent. Iain Henderson has managed this account for the last two years and has done so well, he understands my cautious approach and strives to maintain that. Regular quarterly telephone reviews keep us in touch.

We were given good, honest, and helpful advice. At no time did we feel we were being pressured into something that was not suitable for us at our time of life. Our wishes and circumstances were carefully considered and advice offered with these in mind.

We were/are concerned regarding your marketing company which appears to be in liquidation, when you call their number it goes direct to Abbey Wealth and again Jason was very reassuring in regard of Abbey Wealth position, but I still do not understand why you use such a practice. They have an address in Solihull which we wanted to visit only to find out it doesn't exist.

Abbey Wealth's advisors (Simon, Liam and now Kasie Soler) have , apart from one or two ups and downs, as is to be expected, given excellent investment advice. I am very happy with the service and would highly recommend them.

This is quite a difficult review to write as I personally have had some ups and downs with Abbey Wealth. My initial contact saw me through the setting up of my QROPS policy. Being 'green' in financial matters he was very patient using terminology that any layman could understand. So quite quickly we built a great working relationship built on trust and understanding. Then out of the blue, just before the paperwork was finalized I received an e-mail from his assistant advising me of his rather sudden departure and was given a replacement advisor - Paul Griffiths. Paul then had the unenviable task of picking up the pieces and earning trust where trust had been lost. Undeterred he sailed through this challenge valiantly and today I trust Paul, based on his depth of knowledge and experience, to advise me correctly, promptly and with humour. Of course all financial institutions must nowadays carry the banner of honesty and plain speaking and Abbey Wealth does just that. My dealings with this company have instilled faith in their judgement for all kinds of investment and more so as a British ex-pat residing permanently overseas. Their wealth of experience and broadness of portfolios is impressive as was their method of introducing their clients to various investments. I have rated Abbey Wealth 4 stars simply because I felt the way they handled the departure of my previous advisor was pretty poor. But that said Paul Griffiths has gone a long way to repair the company's minor failing.

Having decided I needed a financial adviser to help me with my overseas investments I approached Abbey Wealth from their advertisement in the Telegraph. Most of their advice over the last 5 years has been good and I am satisfied with the returns achieved over this period. They contact me regularly every 3 months to run through my investments and I would be happy to recommend them to others in my position.

After a bit of a shaky start when I first invested, my investment has now come good and I am prepared to invest a little more. My Advisor Iain Henderson keeps in good communication and responds to requests that I have.

The only issue that I have is the huge amount of paperwork needed to do a transaction

I'm with RL360, and am very satisfied. I'm no expert in finances, and even though I've saved bits of cash all my life, I never dreamt that I'd be in a category where investment makes sense. However, it's so easy to make a mistake, and I did check and compare, and listened carefully to the sales message and the information I had access to.
I've never felt panicky or that it was a wrong decision, I was impressed by the unpressurized advice and professionalism. The sales service is excellent - I'm with Simon Baker and his assistant Nicole, and I have access to them should I require it, as well as regular reviews. I also occasionally check my data online and find out more about the technicalities of financial transactions. Undoubtedly, the return is considerably better than the banks can offer.

I was impressed with the efficiency and can do attitude of our AFS advisor in completing what is really quite a complex process. We are new to AFS and yet to have our first quarterly review but are very much looking forward to seeing where we go with this new investment

As above. No complaints at all about the personalised service so far. If the investments do well over the next few years, then it will definitely warrant a 5 star rating.

Working with Abbey has been mostly a good experience. Abbey personnel take the time to answer any questions honestly and fully. All the staff that I have dealt with are very professional and easy to communicate with. I am a difficult person to convince and have taken a long time to make my final decisions but, with care and attention from Warren Stean and Mark Smith, I feel very confident that I have made the right choices.

It is early days to have a strong opinion about performance so I wait in anticipation of a very good result (by good, I mean at least in line with my expectations which are much lower than the potential gains that have been discussed).

After six years and pressure from other, harder-sell IFAs to change, I am still satisfied with AFS. They make sensible and sometimes innovative suggestions for investments and discuss my own ideas objectively and critically. There is always more than one point of contact (which others often don't have) and things get done that need doing. The personnel has changed a couple of times but the continuity of knoweldge of my account is good. Not every investment in the portfolio has been a roaring success so far but these are difficult times. And although everyone is making some money along the line, it doesn't cost me any more (maybe less) than going direct to a bank or offshore life company for the necessary 'wrappers.'
