Absolutely the worst moving experience of my lifetime. Endlessly uncommunicative, my goods were in an accident after being a month late and I barely got half of what I shipped. Some meathead named Gal talked me up and said he “had it all under control”. Worst service, worst communication, threatening and demanding. Please, go anywhere else.

Excellent service from booking to delivery, good communication throughout. Very quick and cheaper than others I had phoned will definitely use again and recommend.

They were polite, friendly, and prompt. First rate move. Great 10/10, great service.

Everything went extremely well. The men were very quick and there was good communication from the start. Really helpful and courteous, thank you. Would definitely use them again.

This is one of the few companies that made me compelled to leave a review, unfortunately, this time is for the wrong reasons. So here it goes,

PROS:

Before I proceed to the cons I want to point out that things go wrong all the time, it is expected but how you handle things when they go wrong that what makes the difference.

What did go wrong? Missing&damaged furniture and missing boxes and no one to take responsibility or even show a bit of care, except the driver who was the only person genuinely concerned and eager to help. Worth mentioning that the three missing boxes and the furniture are the most valuable items that we shipped using this company.

So here we go with the CONS:

Zero responsibility and follow-through, if you (dispatch manager Stephanie) tell the customer that you will follow up in two days you better do it even if you have no update. Instead, a week goes by and you don't even pick up the phone.
The staff made you feel like you are asking for something extra when you call to follow up when they committed to follow up with you and failed to do so.
The estimated value of $3500 in lost and/or Damaged items. Hiking/Camping gear, Dining table set (partially missing partially damaged), Box of shoes and misc sports gear.

Like I said, your business values and practices show not when everything goes right but how you handle things when things go wrong.

With the practices like that, no wonder they only accept cash (otherwise they would have thousands of dollars in disputed transactions). They 'deliver' and that is it, you are no longer their customer.

Verdict - DO NOT recommend this business to anyone!

A1A Movers changed my outlook on moving companies. Not once did the moving guys complain, they packed everything delicately and organized, and best of all, not a single item was damaged! They were very polite and professional, and made what usually is a nightmare into a pleasant experience. I highly recommend them to all of you out there who may be looking for a good moving company!

They literally have over 100 reviews of all clients that rave about how professional they are and the consistency of their men. They also arranged to move both of our vehicles as well as making a stop off on each end to pick up and drop goods off at our storage departments. They were able to pick us up on our desired dates and have us delivered in time for my husband to start his new job in time. I wish we knew about them before submitting our request because we would have used them without looking back. Must hire them without any hesitation or doubt! They are the BEST!

I wouldn't take the time to write a review, unless I truly believed the service was excellent. I and F did an excellent job. As a first time mover I had no clue what I was doing. They made the process very simple and efficient. I didn't lift a thing, they did all the work for me. Recommended to all.

Great prices, good service, great people to work with. What do you guys want more? Must hire them for any type of move. They are amazing!

Great experience from A1A Movers. Booking the appointment was easy; they were very responsive via email. Three movers showed up on-time with a large truck and a great attitude. I am totally impressed and would love to book them again.

After an amazing move there is no chance of us booking any other movers than A1A Movers company. They are super great, professionally trained movers with very kind nature. They are always up for the criticism too. Will book them in future for any move.

BEWARE! They are a scam company and will literally hold your stuff hostage for a month and a half and will break half of it.

Worst ever they are a scam. They never showed up claimed they broke down. Never showed up as promised the following day. They Will not return my deposit after claiming for a month it was being returned.Scam. Beware. They will take your money and not show !!

Great service, fast and professional staff, A plus, movers were very polite. I highly recommend this company because they are really affordable than the others that I called.

These guys are great! They moved my family of four out of our condo and into our house in 4 hrs. & 15 min including the 45 min drive. They were fast, efficient, affordable and very nice/respectful people. I will definitely use them again and I think you should too!

The guys at the A1A Movers are fantastic. Extremely polite and helpful. They carried everything up a flight of narrow stairs into the apartment and also assembled my bed. I can't recommend them highly enough, and will definitely call them for my next move

My experience with A1A movers LLC was HORRIBLE!! I would have given ZERO STARS if I could. The story begins when my parents were moving from NYC to a nearby state. Initially, a Mr Ian quotes a price X dollars. We pay the 30% deposit and everything is agreed upon including pick up and delivery date. 2 days before moving, there is still no confirmation. On repeated calling, we get through the office and a "Manager" Steve says the initial quote was wrong (by more than 500$), there is an additional fee as the aptmnt in NYC doesnt allow for the truck to turn in and a 75$ Fee extra is added for the movers to carry the stuff to the truck if >75 feet. Also, he cannot guarantee a date of delivery and its subject to them recieving another shipment returning from the State to NY. We got in touch with Steve after multiple calls and no one from A1A had the decency to return our calls/ msgs or emails. Also, after the obviously discrepant quotes/service agreements and blatant disregard for the initial Customer-A1A contract, Steve says he will speak to the owner and get back but NEVER DOES!! Ian is no where and on the day of moving, we get a call from the Driver stating, the truck is on the way! this is after Steve nor Ian actually called us back to confirm. This was a HUGE MISTAKE !! Also, they threaten us stating we have to speak to send the Driver back and when we asked for our 30% back stating, the inital agreement was obviously null and void as the terms of agreement were VIOLATED by A1A LLC, they had the audacity to say "its all recorded" and we went back on our word! Its pathetic that Companies like this exist and are cheating the common people!! We CANNOT let this go by and want OUR MONEY BACK!! We will NEVER EVER recommend A1A Movers LLC.

I did my research for price and favorable reviews and this place won. Very professional and fast. I needed a couch and love seat hoisted over a balcony. No problem for these guys. Recommend them highly. I will definitely use these guys again in the future.

The crew arrived earlier than expected and were very polite and efficient. It was a 3 hour move. These two men were able to move all of the heavy furniture by themselves down a narrow stairwell without a scratch to the desk. Very impressed! Will recommend them to everyone!

I had to move because of contractors changing my renovation date. I was given 2 days. Micheal was very accommodating and made certain that I wouldn't be overwhelmed. Movers came, were professional, efficient, and very courteous. There was not a single broken, chipped, or missing item out of 100+ boxes and 10 pieces of big furniture.
