I placed an order on 3/18 with my contacts prescription uploaded to the site. On 3/19 they said they cannot process because my first name got cut off, but this was how the doctor's office printed out. They said it would take just a business day to verify and confirm with the doctor's office. On 3/25 I followed up. On 3/26 they asked for my doctor's number. WHAT HAPPENED TO JUST A BUSINESS DAY TO VERIFY? WHY DIDN'T THEY ASK FOR THE NUMBER SOONER? WHY WAITED UNTIL I FOLLOWED UP A WEEK LATER TO DO THEIR JOB?
I sent them my spectacle prescription and pointed out that the patient and doctor's information are IDENTICAL. On 3/30 they upgraded my shipping to 1-business day and shipped the product. On 4/1 I called UPS and they confirmed the package was lost.
I emailed them on 4/1 AND 4/2. No response to date. They were quick to respond within 24 hours before the product was shipped. Looks like once they ship and have your money, they give zero f***s about you.

BUYER BEWARE
Uploaded rx, rx shows on my account and auto fills info for order, place order and pay for expedited shipping because I need ASAP.
9:30 the night before contacts are supposed to arrive, I get email saying Rx hasn't been "verified".
Contact company through chat. Inform them rx was uploaded before order was placed. They say they need Dr's info and can't explain WHY they need it when they have Rx already on my account with all info on it. Then they tell me they will remove rush shipping charge but I can't get them for 4 more days. I say I'm not satisfied because I need contacts tomorrow but fine, I guess.
THEN I get a text telling me my order has been CANCELED!
Texting with new agent - oops, looks like you're order was accidentally canceled - shall I reorder for you?
I share my frustration about their repeated mistakes and am offered a "discount" - of removal of the expedited shipping fee that never happened (whaaaat? Gee, thanks) - and still no contacts for 4 days. I share my shock that they are calling the removal of the rush shipping fee a DISCOUNT and tell them it is now MIDNIGHT, I need to be sleeping, and I'm done. Now that it's been over 2 hours, they offer a 20% discount... would I like then to charge my card again? Then they'll just have to verify my Rx tomorrow but still can't get my contacts to me until Monday (they were supposed to be here Friday). At this point, I trust NOTHING they say and suggest they send this order free, in order to preserve not only my business but my husband's, which has been long-term... but you can guess how that went over. So, they've cost me DAYS - probably more than a week - since I'm starting over now with another company AND wasted well over 2 hours of my time.

I did not check a box of contacts I ordered until a month later. I was missing a box of contacts from my order. I emailed them and they got back to me the same day. They said they would send me a replacement box arriving within 4 days. What a reliable business! I highly recommend them. Best way to order contacts!

I had been a happy customer for many years. Customer service is always great, fast, friendly and efficient, and prices are competitive. You can always text them and expect a quick reply too, which is very convenient.
For the first time, I returned an unused pair of boxes and it was NOT a good experience. By text I was told I would get $85 for the two boxes (about 75% of the original price) but the refund ended up being only 50%, even though the boxes were full except for one lens in one of them, which I told them about. I would have been ok had they given me the right price from the beginning. But the main issue was that the refund took FIVE weeks because it was credited to my 1800 account instead of being refunded to my original form of payment, as I had requested.
The experience has been a disappointment from a company that I had otherwise been very happy with. But I have to stress that the friendliness and speed of their customer service is the best I’ve ever experienced.

I used this site for the first time to purchase contacts. It's been 2 weeks since I ordered them online. I called the company to see what the holdup was. They said I could expect them in another 8 days. So that's 3 weeks for delivery. Unbelievable! I will never use this company again.

I ordered contacts in the last week of the year with what was left in my health savings account. They first could not read the prescription I sent so I had to send photos of the boxes. This went around their customer service loop of order takers a couple of times before it finally landed in Brittany's hands. Brittany could at least read. She was sharp enough to notice that I made a error and didn't pick contacts for the astigmatism as it said on the box photo I sent. Rather than just calling me or emailing me or doing anything about this minor error, Brittany took the lazy way out and just cancelled the order! Now, the new year has passed. I called to beg to have the order reopened or backdated or whatever... nope. I lose out on $900 in health savings money, 1-800 contacts loses out on a $900 order and a lifelong customer all because of lazy Brittany who can't bridge the gap as to why people are placing such large orders with them in the last week of year! Think Brittany!

Worst Customer Service.
Also good luck with their updated so-called "price match guarantee". You will end up paying $40-$60 dollars more than the cart on the site you're trying to price match against and according to Ashleigh, their online sales chat person, they use ignoito's browser to check into the site because "they don't price match against the advertised price on the site." Funny, cause that was just the excuse I was given when I tried to price match. My other family members have had customer reps claim "they can't find that website price". I've had my business partners and other partners at my firm, look into the site and when they attempted to get price matched received different answers. All of which made their purchases $40-60 more than the site they were price matching against. So shameful and false adverstising.
You're better off going to costco, lens crafters, ANYWHERE else where they won't lie and cheat their customers. My partner at my firm is looking into them.

Every year when it comes time to order my contacts, I am still amazed when a REAL person answers the phone. Not only that but they are so friendly and will accommodate any situation needed.
This year I ordered my contacts and then asked that they not be send right away because I was going to be in the hospital for 2 days getting my neck fused and didn't want the contacts to be delivered and freeze at my front door where UPS leaves them. No Problem. But then the customer care person, who feels like a friend already, asks when and what time the surgery is and says she will put it on her calendar and that I can add her to the list of loved ones who will be sending me good prayers and love during the operation. I hung up feeling great!
The day of my 5 - 1/2 hour surgery I actually thought to all the people who were rooting for me and thought about the complete stranger from 1800 contacts who would be praying for me.
Two weeks after my surgery I get a get well soon card from Lyndi Reed from 1800 Contacts saying that she is thinking of me with "Lots of prayer & good wishes coming my way!" and she is hoping I'm feeling better and on the road to a great recovery.
Well I'm speechless - this is way beyond some corporate policy - this is real and I feel it!
Thank you Lyndi Reed, you made me feel appreciation and love for all the good people in the world like you. There is hope.

I AM BEYOND DISGUSTED WITH THIS "SERVICE" NOT ONLY DO THEY DOUBLE BILL ME AFTER THEY ASSURED ME THEY WOULDNT THEY SENT ME AN EXTRA SHIPMENT I DIDNT ASK FOR AND THEN I CONTACT THEM BEFORE I EVEN RECIEVE ANYTHING AQUIRE A LABEL TO RETURN THE EXTRA SHIPMENT THAT SAME DAY BUT NOW THEY TELL ME MY REFUND WILL TAKE 3-10 BUSINESS DAYS TO PROCESS? THIS IS BEYOND RIDICULUS AND I WILL NOT BE DOING BUSINESS WITH THEM AGAIN. THEY OFFERED NO TYPE OF RESOLUTION IT DID NOT TAKE THEN 3-10 BUSINESS DAYS TO BILL ME. THEY BILLED ME IMMEDIATELY! This is defective for recall for eye irritation.
They always suggest colored lens harmful for my eyes.
This time, they sent my contacts for bc 8.3. This lens is very tight and prevent oxygen.
I have worn bc 8.7 for whole my life. I think they try to dump overstock.

Classic Bate and Switch! This company sends out plenty of emails with discounts that they do not honor in their store. Additionally, they charge about 2x more than many other vendors online for identical products. Just google it!

I will now purchase all my contacts through 1-800 Contacts. The person I spoke to on the phone, Ryan (from Utah) was wonderful. I was in a dilemma about not being able to be seen by an eye dr due to not medically being able to wear a mask. I tried multiple eye drs. The last one recommended 1800contacts. Ryan was amazing. He assured me I was in good hands and I would be ok and able to get my contacts. Sure enough, everything worked out great. And I received my contacts the very next day. All in all, Ryan was very kind and understanding.

I ordered contacts that were well over due once I got them I made it through my last pair to finally get to the ones ordered from 1-800 contacts. I put them in and they were clearly defective I had contacts in and they didn't change my vision. I contacted 1-800 contacts telling them my long story of these lenses being defective. They told me to re-enter my script and they would verify with my doctor. Never once offered to replace them, refund my money or anything they only wanted to verify my account. I only had my script from the box of which I received from them. After emails back and forth they just stopped responding to my emails. Not one person followed up on my emails to get new boxes since mine were clearly defective. I then had to decide once they proved they don't care about customer service to get lasik. Something I didn't want to be forced to do but I needed to be able to see when I was unable to wear glasses. My eye doctor told me defective contact lenses are very common and it was a shame no one would help me. So if you order anything from them and have a issue just know they don't care.

I ordered my contacts on October 9th and was supposed to get them within 6 days. Over a month of no updates on the tracking information, I contacted customer support (on November 10). They informed me that they lost my order. They offered me no refund or compensation for my troubles. If I hadn't reached out to them, I would have never received my order. Ridiculous.

1 800 contacts not only price matched the lowest price I found for my contact lenses, they expedited the delivery because I was out of contacts and I got them in 24hrs from the time I placed my order !! The lenses are great quality and their customer service is phenomenal. I got disconnected and had to call back. I was ready to start all over but the previous agent took great notes and everything we talked about was available for this agent to see so within 1 minute I was right where I left off when my cell dropped the call. Highly recommend them. If it's been a while, try again you will be pleasantly suprised!!

I rarely ever leave reviews but this seemed necessary. I recently moved away from my primary eye doctor and was looking at a wait time of 3 weeks before I could get another prescription. I was able to complete a new eye exam with 1800 contacts in less than 5 minutes. Once this was complete I ordered contacts and realized I sent them to the wrong address. I quickly texted 1800 contacts and within 2 minutes they changed the address and updated me on the shipping times. This process could not have been easier at a time when I needed it to be as smooth as possible. Highly recommend,

This is my 2nd experience using 1-800-Contacts. I tried to use a few other online contact delivery services to make use of my eye insurance but both services crashed during my attempts to process an order. I came back to 1-800-contacts and within minutes my order was placed. No hassles. It is worth it to me to save time, rather than money on this transaction. My last experience with 1-800 I used chat and had all of my questions answered. Contacts were expedited and the minimal additional cost was well worth the quick delivery. Worst customer service ever! I placed my order 10 days ago and after checking online, found that they’d deleted my order. My prescription had expired and nobody bothered to let me know. They called a phone number that isn’t mine, didn’t get an answer, and deleted the order. Didn’t even bother to send an email to the address that they HAD ON FILE and used to send my order confirmation. And the only thing they had to say was they would provide overnight shipping. Seriously?! I just wasted 10 days waiting for you to do your job and that’s all you have to say. Take your business elsewhere!

If I could give less than one star I would. This company is TERRIBLE ! I have been waiting for over 3 weeks for my lenses, and get the same answer “it will be 1-2 business days”. How can that even be true?! They claim they will reimburse me, but after reading these other reviews, I doubt that will happen! I understand that there have been delays with Covid, but don’t lie to people! I will never purchase through them again!

Never shopping from 1-800-contacts or dealing with AfterPay EVER AGAIN! Neither want to take blame or admit who messed up my order. AfterPay cancelled my payments and issued a refund bc supposedly 1-800-contacts cancelled the order all together. They said it was a system error on 1800contacts end. When I spoke to 1-800-contacts, they said AfterPay cancelled the order bc the order has taken 30 days to ship out. I was already annoyed in their delay of shipping out times. I don't want to get charged the full amount by 1800contacts before the refund from AfterPay hits my bank. The order is still showing as processing/not cancelled in 1800contacts system and could ship out in the next few days or so. My advice is STAY AWAY FROM 1-800-CONTACTS!
