Ordered a x9 follow from Stewart golf.
Had a few issues once it arrived and contacted them straight away. Well I must say I had the lovely Jan dealing with me and nothing was to much trouble. They went above and beyond to sort my problem. They took the trolley back and had it back to me all working perfect as it should.
Professional and polite at all times.
After care is second to none.
Thanks again everyone.
Darren.

Took 3 months to arrive when they said 4-6 weeks. Was faulty right out of the box. They started trying to diagnose the problem by telling me to send in part of the machine and “maybe” they could resolve the problem in another month.. by effectively returning something to me that had a manufacturers defect. For $2500 I want a new remote, not a repaired one, and I want it immediately.
I can’t express strongly enough to not do business with this company. $2500 for worse customer service than I get from McDonald’s. Their email responses contain no useful info. It’s taken a week to even begin to return the product.
So incredibly disappointed. Hard to believe they’ve been in business as long as they have.
Ps— would be thrilled to not have to post this, or to edit it based on a successful resolution. I was so excited about this product. I understand covid is going on but my product literally does not work. All I want is for it to be fixed and to get someone on the phone

Had a slight problem with the follow not working properly on my new X9 handset, was sent back to Stewart on the Monday and fixed immediately with a video to show it working properly and couriered back to me that day. Amazing service from Jan and the team.

Very happy with my Stewart X9. I’ve become comfortable using it as it does everything a good caddy would do, show up keep up and shut up. The course I play on is pretty hilly and the X9 does a very good job of negotiating the hills. The only small complaint I have is where to put my towel. Sometimes when I am in the follow mode or remote mode the towel falls off and gets tangled up in the trolley. Any suggestions would be appreciated

I almost didn't buy an X9 Follow after reading some of the negative reviews on here. Thank heaven I ignored them and went ahead.
It was clear as soon as I unpacked the trolley and read the manual that most problems described here stem from owners having not read the manual, unrealistic expectations or blatant misuse. I feel I have to say that because Stewart Golf are too diplomatic to be so blunt.
The X9 Follow oozes quality. You can see at a glance it's well engineered and once it starts moving you can tell from the sound that this is no ordinary golf trolley.
I practiced with mine before I used it "in anger" so that I wasn't distracted and neither were my fellow players (once they were used to the sight of it in full "Follow mode"!)
Stewart Golf say you can use follow mode roughly 40% of your round, which I find to be about right on my home course, which is relatively flat. It makes sense to use manually or remotely in the situations described in the manual. I find follow mode is actually the easiest to use, as long as you attach the remote to the back of your belt (as instructed in the manual) and don't twist round to check the X9F is still there - it will be, and if you twist it will start to zigzag quite violently as it tries to follow the remote!
I think it would take a lot to tip this trolley over - if you start it too fast on an uphill incline it will certainly do a wheelie but the rear stabiliser is more than up to the task. Similarly, I've had no problem when using follow mode downhill thanks to the braking system.
I've found it's quite sensitive to weight distribution when used remotely - I've packed my bag in a way that shifts weight to the bottom to stop the trolley bucking when I start it remotely, and I've taken off my heavy brolly, which was tending to pull the trolley left. I suspect part of the latter problem was the added traction I am getting from winter wheels and this won't be an issue once the regular wheels are on, and I plan to use a lighter brolly.
On the subject of customer service, I found both pre- and post-sales from Stewart Golf to be excellent. They talk about "joining the Stewart Golf family" and they way they look after you really makes it feel that way.
Sorry this review is so long, but I've tried to address all the questions a potential buyer might have. It's an expensive purchase and wise buyers will always do their homework. All I can say is, it is as great to use as you hope it will be!

Fantastic trolley and fantastic service! I had accidentally managed to change the remote to a different mode so that the trolley didn’t follow me anymore. I contacted steward golf through the website and support emailed me instructions how to reset the handset. This fixed the problem. During my email exchange with the support it transpired that there was a minor fault to the remote they gave me a freepost address to send the remote to. They even chased me when I had been too busy to send it. After I sent it I got it back very quickly. Over all I’m very impressed!

I noticed that the latch of my 7 year old Z-series had fallen off mid round. I contacted Stewart golf who wanted me to pay a tenner for it. Interestingly they stock the latch as spares to purchase on their website.
I think the trolley is well built, but has moving parts that can fall off and could be designed better.
As Stewart golf would not take any responsibility, I refused to spend any more of my money with them.
Its a shame as the situation could have been resolved much better

I recently purchased an X9 Follow after seeing its online reviews. So far I am absolutely chuffed to bits with the thing and whilst I found it a bit fiddly to begin with, after a few moments getting to know it resulted in what can only be described as the best trolley since sliced bread! It looks and feels great and it has certainly helped my golf too: after only a few rounds it has become obvious to me that the ability to manoeuvre a trolley remotely has greatly reduced the stress I feel around greens etc and my scores have dropped on average 3-5 shots. Perhaps it's just the energy it helps you conserve but either way, it's a blood godsend to be honest and I wish I had bought one yonks ago! If you can afford one, buy it, you wont regret it!

I have had my R1s push trolley two years and have had quite a few problems. From the start it had a bias to the left. Went back to where I bought it from they checked and said its ok. if you have any further problems contact Stewart Golf. After a year the bias got worse so I rang Stewart and they would not deal with my problem because I could not provide a receipt. I had to re glue the front wheel housing back together. The clips on the score card holder have broken, I have lost three brolly holders because of the poor fit. A few weeks back when we had strong winds and rain the thread that holds the brolly holder pulled out from the trolley still attached to the holder.
I have placed bad reviews on there web page and they have been removed. From my experience I would not recommend anyone buying the R1S push trolley and the customer service was also poor

We're sorry that you're not happy Dave but we do have to ask for proof of purchase because warranties are non-transferrable and we want to be fair to all our customers.
We always try our best to help any customer who has any sort of issue with their trolley and we have received much praise for our customer service.
We have also had many reviews praising the build quality of our trolleys, including accessories such as the umbrella holder, but if the wind was so strong to pull an embedded thread out of its moulding that may suggest that it was too windy to have the umbrella up.
Following on it was raining heavy at the time the brolly holder broke as well as gusting winds, no one else had problems with their brollies with different manufacturer of trolleys.
I offered to send a copy of my bank statement but the answer was still no.
I also no other golfers who have had problems short and long term.
As I previously stated I would not recommend buying this trolley

Superb customer service. The two ladies I spoke with after looking for a part to repair my loved trolley were extremely helpful. The part cost next to nothing and arrived immediately. 5 mins after unpacking the part and my 2 year old trolley was as good as new. Many thanks.
