Terrible management and poor
treatment of staff.
I’m appalled to discover from a friend that a family run business is stealing it’s staff holidays by flouting the furlough rules around statutory holiday accrual and disregarding their rights. Staff are too frightened to speak out for fear of reprisals and being threatened about job security. How can a large company get away with this. Scrivens prides itself on good customer service and staff care but chooses to treat staff in this way! Disgraceful!!

Enquire about my next supply of contact lens, this is my reply from Scrivens.
Telling me the Royal Mail may take longer than normal, instead of telling me that it would be far better if Scrivens woke up and posted them out 2-3 weeks early.
I will now reply back requesting a few lens to be posted direct from the local store so I will have some on time.
This will be painful, believe me.

A company which makes million
When lockdown started, rather than keeping employees, they were the first to make them redundant. Regardless If you qualified for furlough or not,Scrivens couldnt care less. Awful

Always use Scrivens Broadstone. The staff there are friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Good choice of frames and regularly send out half price vouchers. Would highly recommend.

The assistants at Scrivens are the best. I’ve been taking my son to this opticians for twenty years and they have always been so kind and helpful.
Now it’s my turn to need glasses, this was the only opticians I went too, as I know how brilliant they are.
They remember who you are and never try to force extras on you. They really are the best!

Great staff, I felt comfortable and was greeted as soon as I walked in, very friendly staff, helped me choose the glasses that suit me, just to add, I love them. Very helpful, lovely store, I will definetly go back when I need to, optician was really lovely, helpful and explained everything, everyone who I spoke with answered everything I needed to know. Very impressed with this opticians and would definitely recommend.
The time taken to test my eyesight was the longest I've ever had at any previous opticians and they kept checking that everything was correct.
Nothing was too much trouble and collecting and fitting was a breeze and I was advised to not hesitate to contact them again if any problems.
Very friendly staff and a pleasure to deal with.

The lady that did my eye test was very thorough and explained everything and even if you had to ask something twice she was so helpful and engaged. The young lady who sorted out my glasses again was extremely helpful and thorough. Even when I quibbled the price she went away and discussed it with her colleague and they did their very best to make sure I was happy. All I can say is that the overall experience was superb and its five star from me.

Excellent opticians from start to finish.
They are professional and thorough. The optician is clearly very experienced and also takes her time to listen and take a full history.
The testing was comprehensive and left me confident that I‘d leave with the right glasses.
I was helped to select frames that worked well with my chosen lenses. The choice is extensive.
They are excellent opticians - I came here following a poor experience elsewhere and they have restored my faith in optical services.
I wouldn’t go anywhere else.

The booking system online was quick and easy. Helpful to me as I find it difficult to speak on phones. The care and understanding from the Optometrist and staff was very reassuring. I am a person with severe anxiety issues and particularly around having people in my space and hands near my face. So it is quite a challenge for everyone involved. But nothing was too much trouble. Even spreading the appointments over several days and weeks was no trouble. It is appreciated and I feel more confident in accessing my eye care needs through the shop in Brandon.

Wimborne Staff provided Excellent Service I even chose to pay all my bill rather than claiming from a competitor with NHS vouchers.
