Full kit with pads and coating less than £200 when Land Rover wanted double that. Excellent quality and arrived on time.

Unfortunately, within a few weeks the MTEC discs got rusted all over. After sending an e-mail about this, I was told that: "they can assure that this happens from time to time, but certainly would not be an indication of a fault in the disc". I should have chosen the option of an additional coating, but too be honoust I was no aware that I needed to. I had extensive consultations with the MTEC employee prior to the purchase and I was NOT told that I should have ordered the extra coating. So I assumed that the standard discs would at least have a standard coating, just like the standard discs I bought in the past. If I had known this, I would certainly have had the extra coating applied.

I am allowed to return the discs and only if an fault is found I can get a refund. The only problem is that they have already confirmed that in their opinion, this is is not an indication of a fault. So this solution will not work for me. Unfortunately we could not find an agreement how to settle this issue. If you care about your after sales service, then you would solve this problem. But apparently that is too much asked of this company.

Technically there's nothing wrong with the discs themselves, but if you're buying these types of discs for a serious amount of money, you don't want them looking like this after a few weeks. So if you buy discs from MTEC, don't forget to get them coated right away. It may cost you a little more, but then at least you don't have these kinds of issues. I will not be placing an order with MTEC any time soon. It cost me more than 200 pounds and they did not take any responsibility at all. Too bad!

Update after reaction MTEC: thanks for your reply, but please keep the facts straight. You never did offer to coat the discs for free. Moreover, that solution would mean I can't use my car for a few weeks, and that is really not an option/solution.

My proposal was (and is) to supply completely new discs with coating, then I can have them mounted and send you the affected discs back. That way I suffer from it as little as possible. It will cost me extra money to have the discs replaced, but that's it. If this is a workable solution for you, I would like to hear from you. Regards!

Update 2 after reaction MTEC: The confusion has arisen because in the previous communications you never offered to provide free coating. This is the first time that is option is offered, and I assumed that I would have to send the discs back to you first to have them coated. Apparently you can also send the coating for free, and I can have the coating applied myself. If that solves the problem, I gladly agree! If possible, I would prefer a black coating, and if not, then silver coating will do too. I propose that we continue to communicate over the mail for now, so that you can also use the correct address for the shipment. Thanks for now and looking forward to your reply by e-mail.

Shockingly bad customer service and products. I purchased F&R discs+pads, in the drilled option. The fronts are drilled the wrong way round so they suggested I swap left to right... as they were overheating all the time. The rears have worn out in 10k miles. Going back to OEM.

Don't waste your money on these.

I use Mtec discs on all my builds. Excellent wear characteristics, slightly noisy (as all grooved discs are), but stop the car exceptionally well. Very keenly priced too. If you don't want to shell out extra for the coating, clean the discs thoroughly & spray with a cold galvanised aerosol. This has worked wonders with holding back corrosion.

Parts are priced very keen for the quality! They could get away with charging alot more! Will be sure to use again!

Our mini F55 Cooper needed new front discs, so went for the Mtec high carbon drilled with brembo brake pads. Ordered the discs in the black anti corrosion paint as the alloys are black and better long term protection. They are very good quality discs, braking performance is superb compared to OEM. Shame people giving bad reviews for longer delivery times, with CV19 and many places shut through lockdown and delivery companies maxed out, bit unfair really. Very happy and will be back for the same on the rear.

Really good brakes very pleased,very good stopping power over standard discs for my gti.i used premium brembo pads with mtec drilled n grooved discs and bang they are great.Get the discs coated if you can!!every discs you get anywhere surface rust quickly so remember this wisely...i had to paint my disc hats for visualgoods looks through the alloys,i couldn't get the coating done due to the start covid 19 lockdown etc...but i am very pleased with performance as far as low speeds and high speeds at 150mph.they grab brilliantly,i fitted them them with alot of attention to detail and bedded them in correctly for 150-200 miles and there just fantastic.had them 3 months now and would use them again for net set..very good priced and quality.they come very well packaged and use a good courier service.remember to bed your brakes in properly and not drive silly or too close behind cars until there bedded in properly as all brakes need this process anyways.after roughly 150 miles for me the mtecs are perfect and i like to drive hard and brake late. brlliant combo mtecs with premium brembos pads....fit them correctly by cleaning hubs from rust so there seated perfectly and then the discs with brake cleaner obv and then a coating of pad grease on the back shims of the pads and bang..

Usual my go supplier, however this time they have failed me big time.

Ordered a set of brakes on the 1st of September 2020, I got the confirmation via email, showing Parcelforce for shipping. All OK at this point we are on now the 7th of September 2020 and still no brakes, called them to chase and asked if they could track them and they haven't even been shipped. Appalling to say the least, a week later and still not left Mtec.

Lost a long stand customer now.

Had several disks sets and warped up quite a few even after several caliper rebuilds
Like the look but haveing to changed disks 2 - 3 times a year is expensive

Excellent quality brake discs. I've been running on them for a few days now and I've had no complaints - although I am a little confused as I ordered grooved discs but instead received drilled & grooved. However, even though these may eat through the pads a little quicker it's still not a huge bother. I'll definitely be using them again in the future.

Ordered front discs and EBC Pads for my BMW 530d,on receiving the order i found the pads were incorrect (wrongly part numbered on the online catalogue) after speaking to Lisa via email the pads were collected next day and the correct sent directly from EBC (organised by Lisa) which arrived next day.
Mistakes happen but its how its dealt with that matters and I'm very happy with the service i received and would recommend them to anyone.

Bought discs front and rear, only the fronts turned up, they promised to send rears but bodged that up too. I needed the discs to pass the mot, now my van is stuck in a garage with extra charges and im facing another day without any work. At every stage of the process there has been errors, the delivery dates were wrong, not delivery note attached to order. Even the tracking for the parcel doesn't appear to work. They dont respond timely to messages and wont contact you leaving your blood to boil over, claiming that ebay prohibits telephone calls. Whatever. They could be the best brakes in the world, but i reslly dont care, their service is appalling.

Purchased via eBay, I was advised by a mechanic friend that these were a great quality product at a reasonable price, my civic type R now stops better than when it was new. I'd thoroughly recommend these discs and pads and delivery was only two days. I will be using again for my other car .😊

Mtec could not have been more helpful to me when I made a slight boo boo on my order. They took care of everything and made it totally hassle free. I love the new packaging too, very professional looking. I have used before and I will use again.

This Company were recommended to me during a recent enquiry with my mechanic in regards to upgrading the brakes. The person on the phone was very patient. The parts were sent directly to my mechanic. Car is braking much sharper now.

Don’t waste your time with these clowns, ordered 3 weeks ago no communication. I’ve rang x3 times and every time it’s a been a different excuse and endless promised call backs. Nothing at all now I have to fight to get my money back. Just use EBC service is quick and efficient.

Supplied me with brake disks that simply didn’t fit properly when professionally fitted. I incurred large fitting costs as my original disks had to be refitted. MTEC handled it abysmally. I’ve had to launch a PayPal dispute to try and recover the parts costs; I had two pieces of clear, written evidence that the disks were at fault but their only suggestion was to spend even more to post them back for MTEC to test them.
I now have two useless disks and am considerably out of pocket.
They are probably fine when things work out but terrible if something goes wrong.

Best parts out there - meticulous quality - bought numerous times for numerous vehicles inc sisters car and parents cars

Hi Jo, I phoned you and you were so very helpful on the phone even though I probably did your head in with so many questions. You were friendly and I didn't feel stupid asking the questions. I am a key worker and you posted the parts out to me on the same day. I really appreciate that. The parts have been fitted and should be bedded in and all now. I shall come back to you in the future.

Less that 2 days for delivery in this climate and that needs some shouting about.
