This is a review of a holiday that never was. We were due to go to France just as the pandemic rules came into force. Obviously no travel was allowed. I contacted Canvas and spoke to Nicola. She was very friendly and helpful in what for a holiday company are incredibly difficult times. As there were more than one family going she arranged a time to contact the other lead member to confirm the cancellation. She rang exactly on time and once data protection procedures had been adhered to she processed the cancellation. I received a full refund in the promised time frame. I have no complaints at all and will happily use Canvas Holidays in the future ( when the world returns to some kind of normal).

I’ve had great service on the phone and by email. Our booking has had to be postponed this year but we have a credit voucher to use against next years booking when the system has opened up.
Prompt reply on email, which gives great satisfaction that your enquiry has been dealt with.
Spoke to a Claire who was home working and dealt with our Changes effectively

I had to cancel for this year ,but I was really looking forward to going to Venice .The way Canvas Holidays have treated me and my family as been second to none with everything that as been going on around the world .Everyhing I requested they did for me ,and my refund was in my bank with the exact timeline .Thank you everyone at Canvas Holidays and I will definitely be booking with you again ,so thanks again and be safe

On 2 separate occasion I contacted Canvas holidays enquiring about our holiday in relation to the Covid 19 Pandemic. I found both ladies I spoke to so, so helpful, honest and accomodating with my enquiries. I have recommended Canvas Holidays to everyone I've met since. It's not very often you come across a business who offers top class customer service. I cannot wait to book with them again.

If there were 6 stars ...I'd give 6.
I have loved every minute of the process with this company. Laurna, Lauryn and Ross were simply excellent. I think it was Laurna I last dealt with and she was simply outstanding. This is a very difficult period where travel/holidays are concerned and these staff members could certainly teach a lot of other companies how customer service should be run. We will return as customers again and again I imagine. In fact became customers because of someone else's recommendation based on their happy experiences.

Canvas Holidays have been a pleasure to deal with every time I have booked through them over the years however this year they have been remarkable. Throughout the uncertainty of the Covid 19 pandemic they have been supportive and extended final payment dates. Today I had to cancel our family holiday to France and they were so supportive. An offer of a voucher of 120% or refund all while being so pleasant and kind. Thank you Canvas Holidays. We will be back booking with you as soon as we can.

You cannot trust this company. This year I booked 3 different holidays in France and Spain and after paying in full for all the holidays they cancelled each one without discussing it with me. They simply sent me an email saying that I would have to pay more for the holiday to go ahead. They were not at all helpful when I telephoned them and even a letter to head office proved useless. They have lost a good customer in me

We have taken numerous holidays with Canvas every year since 2010 visiting France, Germany, and Italy - never experiencing any problems.
All accommodations lived up to expectations and staff very helpful.

Tbh canvas holidays I can’t fault but the French counterpart tu happi they could have done better. Caravan had no air con whereas all the others did the people don’t spk English and my French was bad but the site and being honest the reps were really nice and we did end up communicating via google app so all in all a good holiday

We stayed at Duinrell in Holland with Canvas Holidays. Our mobile home was clean and cosy, under trees in a really nice quiet bit of the holiday park. This was our first time with Canvas Holidays, and I'd definitely travel with them again.

Canvas Holidays has lost a bit of the magic it used to have. I've travelled with them for over 40 years (since I was 18 months old!) but today it's only really a booking portal.
It used to be more of an experience, with guides and travel packs being posted out, Hoopi club for the kids, kids clubs, couriers who were part of your holiday and socials to get to meet other people on holiday with Canvas.
Maybe it's the demise of the tents that has led to the changes but having holidayed with them again over the last 5 years, now with children of my own, they are really only a booking portal for the new owners different brands. There's no real added value - the prices are good but the website isn't as strong as competitors who always have better information about sites I'm researching. You can't book Eurotunnel online either, although you can now book ferries. You can however get cashback from Quidco and a 5% loyalty discount :-)
That said, the kids love the holidays - good weather, swimming, burning energy! Couriers are a bit hit and miss - some fantastic and some just youngsters on holiday. Some of our favourite sites have disappeared from site which is a shame. And the kids club is only available on a handful of sites, but are good and the boys enjoy meeting the other children.
All in all, a good holiday and good value, but nothing you couldn't book through numerous other routes, or directly with the sites themselves.
