Scammers. They closed the gym in Waterlooville and asked me to write them an email with the payment details of what I've pre-paid. Out of £120 for one year subscription, I used 4 months and the refund I got was a total of £11.
No phone numbers advertised, no email responses. Pure scammers!!!

Do not trust this company. They encouraged members to pay an annual fee then sold the gym in Wisbech. I was never given a refund and lost that money as the gym closed.
They have now taken £120 from my account??! For what? There is no 247 gym here they sold it?
Unbelievable behaviour with totally unauthorised transactions. Money stolen from my account.
I did not want to give any stars but could not.
DO NOT TRUST THESE THIEVES

Total scam company. AVOID OR LOSE WHAT YOU PAY. They close the gym and send everyone emails saying they will get a refund and they do not. To those who are in this situation. Issue a small claim via MONEYCLAIMONLINE its cheap and easy to do. Anyone looking for a cheap gym look at hussle. This allows you to go to multiple gyms for one fee. If anyone goes bust you can still use other gyms. 24 7 avoid completely if you have a membership cancel it and join somewhere else, its just a lot of hassle.

Joined Waterlooville gym paid a years membership in August 19, the gym closed in January 20 and no refund has been issued, despite following their instructions to receive my refund, despite e mailing them another 3 times! Contacted head office to be told they only deal with monthly payments and if I want a refund I’ll have to seek advice from citizens advice!! Total joke and rip off!!

If you join 24/7Fitness you need to be prepared for them closing your gym, promising you a refund and your not receiving it. All our gym members in Waterlooville have been swindled.
There should have been some redress.

Take your money, close the gym, refuse refunds - Norwich 2019

Absolutely outrageous! I was contacted by the Waterlooville team to renew my gym membership in October at £120 for the year, no mention of closure. Have been unsuccessful in being able to make contact with 24/7 Fitness to discuss when a refund is due. Be warned, DO NOT SIGN UP WITH THESE THIEVES!!

Like others on here they took money from me upfront and decided to close the gym half way through my contract and are telling me I have no right to a refund.
Sorry, but when you pay for 12 months and they can only deliver 7 months of the contract surely you are entitled to some money back, well not according to this outfit. Stay well away!!

DON'T JOIN 24/7 Fitness. They will steal your money!
Waterlooville Gym has closed. They offered to be transferred to Fareham Gym or a refund. Fareham is over 10 miles away and I can walk to the Waterlooville Gym. I thought id take the refund owed. Membership terminated and they refused to refund the partial refund that THEY OFFERED. They knew that they wouldn't do any refunds - so they lied to us.They have tried to use their complicated terms and conditions to keep hold of our money. The gym closing undermines these terms and conditions! The gym as a shambles at best! STAY AWAY!!!

24/7 Waterlooville closure. I too, like some of my colleagues paid up front £120 with a promise that I would get the remainer back (around £40) because of the closure. Sent a letter to their Company address last week, to see if I would be getting this refund. As yet, no response. Would I like to travel another 10 miles or so to Fareham; no thank you. Why do they have to lie about these things? They have no conscience - unbelievable, they just bail out and who cares whose money they take with them in the process. Totally unscrupulous! What is so sad is the fact that the community at this gym were making it what it was - and holding the place together. This has been destroyed now, and for what? Disgusted!

I only gave this 1 as you can't give less. Local gym has just sold to another company and we were told people who paid for the year would get a proportionate refund. Just had news we will get nothing even though we have 6 months remaining. We paid in full for the year and it was not our choice to stop using the gym. This gym was run on it's bare bones and the manager could not care less about the people or equipment in he gym. One member even bringing in batteries from home for the scales. The gym is above a store that sells batteries. Closure information has been limited and they refused to answer any questions untill the gym closed so it was fairly obvious they had no intention of paying. Feel this company has ripped us and many other members off.

Bought a 12 month membership for £120 over the Black Friday weekend (had done it previously the year before with no issues)
About a week after I received an email to say the gym was closing (Waterlooville) on January 10th but it was decided that refunds would be given to those whom had purchased the £120 offer.
I paid cash in the gym so guess what I’ve lost my money. If you send an email you just get an automated response. You can’t call anyone. Absolutely shocking customer service from an appalling company. If Gary Lockwood is reading this (he’s the CEO) then I suggest you get off your pedestal and do the decent thing for everyone who has lost money. You’re an absolute disgrace and if you can be active on LinkedIn (I’ve been watching your activity) then you should be active in the running of the business properly and then perhaps you wouldn’t find yourself in this situation (or maybe you just couldn’t care less)

Like Norwich, my local branch has also just closed and they are not paying the promised refunds on the annual memberships
Before it's closure the place really went downhill; no hairdryers, broken showers, generally a bit unclean etc.
It seems like they're a company with no money about to go out of business!

24/7 Fitness took 1 year's full-membership, 3 weeks before telling me they were closing!!! Still no refund!!! So, I went through PayPal buyer protection and got my full money back. There are loads of complaints on 24/7 Fitness's FB page. They are absolute crooks.

I belong to the Halifax Gym, Its absolutely disgustingly filthy.
Toilets always full of Faeces with urine on the seats. FOUL!!!! Showers always blocked with hair. GRIM!!!!! All the floors are rotten, esp the toilets and stinking of URINE !!!! The machines are sticky with people's sweat and where you put the water bottle, the holders are full of peoples chewed chewing gum and dirty tissues.. GERMS!!!!!!! Freezing cold and no heating,, the windows you can hardly see out of.
The roof leaks and buckets around to catch the rainwater.. The floor has broken panels which I tripped up,, the floor has been like this for months.. THIS GYM IS A DISGRACE and needs a complete
makeover!!!!! HEALTH AND SAFETY SHOULD BE INFORMED!!!!!

Convinced my teenage son to spend his Xmas money on a year’s membership upfront then announced closure a week later!!! No one in the branch deals with refunds and no one answers head office phone calls or emails!!! Apparently he may get a percentage refunded as per the terms and conditions they never told him about during the sales pitch at the Gym!!! Only God knowS how these people get away with all over the country?!? This was Waterlooville branch near Portsmouth, Shame on you!!!
