I ordered 5 supplements (for only $20 which is usually one on amazon) on the 30th, said it would come April 3rd, came on April 2nd. Really great experience and no this is not a fake review, I think of that a lot when I look at reviews because so many places do that. I'm writing this because my experience was great and nobody ever writes a review when there's not a problem as is seen by the rating on here. If they were really that low then they would be a scam website.

Swanson sent me an easy order after confirming that I had canceled the order. UPS said only they could cancel an order in transit. I contact them and they said there was nothing they could do that I'd have to wait until I received it then refuse delivery. This ties up my money for at least a week while I have to do all this plus I have to run it into town to the ups store to send it back because they will just drop it and run. Meanwhile Swanson will have use of my money for a week gathering interest when I have proof it was their fault. Their vitamins don't even work which is the worst part. I'll purchase locally from now on so no one can "accidentally " send me too much stuff.

The company is the worst. I return some vitamins back for a refund and they said it would take 2 weeks. I email them after that and they received my package. I wait a couple more days and I talk to someone else and they couldn't find it. This company went down the toilet. ITS ALL BS NOW! Stay away!

1. "40% off most products". Didn't work, even when product was not in the exceptions list...
2. Shop Runner doesn't work.
3. When ordering liquids, the liquids are not packed in a padded bag, so if they break. You're on your own.
4. When notifying customer service and pleading for a replacement that this time should be packed properly, they send the replacement. Packed just the way they did before. Luckily this time the liquids weren't all over the place...

So I bought some vitamins online and waited and waited for months for it to show up. Sent an email. No response. Finally waited for an hr on live chat to speak to somebody and was told that my order was canceled. They didn't give me a reason and said they don't notify of cancellations. I now have to go through my bank statements and see if they refunded me.
Dodgy company DO NOT USE!

My purchase was received in approx. 4 days (very satisfied). The only problem was on of the tea boxes was a little squash, but other than that, I am satisfied and will purchase from them again.

Don't buy from them. They have gone down hill big time.
They don't respond to emails. They don't use care or common sense when packaging items anymore. They may use a shipping company that takes weeks to get your package to a real shipping company like USPS.
I ordered two separate orders and the 2nd one arrived last week with three broken glass jars of fruit spread. I've emailed customer care three times and gotten no response.
The first order is still stuck in the slow shipping company and has been for over 2 weeks now.
Save yourself the frustration and order elsewhere.

We ordered 10 bottles of sesame seed oil - they were packed very well. As you know, the shippers are overwhelmed due to the pandemic - so a couple of bottles were broken during shipping. Swanson had no objections for a refund for those two bottles. They said they would - and carried through! Kudos to the customer service branch; thank you!

After buying products from Swanson Vitamins for at least five years, I recently ( in the last two years) have been put off and have decided to shop elsewhere. Why? On one occasion, ordered some root concealer (not because I'm grey, but because I enjoy trying different hair colors, as do many people, male and female). When the order arrived (on at least two or three occasions including this one) the representative who packed the order included some off-putting coupons i. E. for hearing aides (I'm not deaf or hard of hearing), retirement insurance (not retired or even close), mopeds for the disabled etc... I live on the East Coast and SV is on the West Coast and the package took more than a week to arrive, whereas I ordered a package from the UK and it arrived in three days! What is going on with the shipping? Considering I paid more than $5 for the shipping it should have arrived at least within 4 or 5 days.

I had been a long-time Swanson customer. I placed an order 11 days ago and still didn't get it. I called after 10 days, when I saw on the tracking that the order had reached the next town over from me 5 days prior. I was promised I'd get the order by 9 p.m. that night. I did not. They had held my order for 4 business days, claiming that one item was in a different warehouse. I asked why they couldn't notify me. No response. I asked why they couldn't ship the rest of the order, which they've done before. No response. They said they'd ship a replacement and I'd get it in a few days. I insisted they overnight it. At first they didn't want to do that. Eventually they agreed. Then they told me the item that held up the order the first time would be held from the rest of the shipping and again it would be 4 business days before that would ship. They refused to budge on that so I asked that I be refunded for that item. I ended up ordering it elsewhere. They do have good products at good prices, but what does that matter if you don't get what you ordered -- and paid for?

2 weeks and the order still not received. Tracking info seems bogus and without an update since "your order was shipped" 5 days ago. Hiding behind Covid excuse while I've had NO problem from the other mail order items that have been received within 3-4 days.
Never again.
I should have read the reviews first, never would have ordered with them.

This is the first time I encounter its new deceiving chat service; I have been Swanson Vitamins custimer for more than 10 years. Today I want to reorder some supplements, while comparing the prices for the same substance, but made by different brands, I saw that chat bubble popping up constantly. Thinking that it was available, I clicked on it, to my surprise, after some wait time, I was prompted to select various numbers to indicate my need. After selecting several numbers to answer its questions, the chat closed on me as if Swanson selectively choose to service some categories only, and mine was not one on the preferred list!
So was the chat a way to:
Reduce the influx of customers trying to contact Customer Service by making customers go through the loops
Sampling the volume of the chat service at certain times of the day to get statistics for its marketing or scheduling department or what was going on?
I had to go through all those loops to get nobody in the end?! There was no warning of any kind that the service was unavailable, no indication that I was in a queue! If it was unavailable, why did the website not display a message of the chat service hours, and ask customers to come back later, or the like?! It's the least courtesy it can give to a customer.
After viewing the numerous complaints on Swanson Vitamins, and its own responses to the complaints within a year to date on Better Business Bureau, and seeing the overall rating here (Sitejabber) on the organization, I decide to not take a risk of getting an issue from doing business with it! It's sad to notice that it has gone downhill overall, especially in customer service which is a very important aspect of doing business, and staying afloat! If I could, I would support a local business like it, but it is not worth going through possible headaches!

I purchased 14 cans of ResistAid from Swanson on Sep 3rd 2020 as it is on sale. As I lived half way across the globe and to make shipping worthwhile, I order in bulk. I should have check the latest review here before making the purchase. It was my first purchase with them though I have bought from other US retailers - Amazon and iHerb, many times, for more than 10 years. I make a fatal mistake of assuming Swanson is similar in terms of service and commitment to quality.
When I received the goods a month later (I use freight forwarder to minimize shipping cost), I was shocked that the product is manufactured on Mar 2015! I contacted them to verify on the expiry date. They told me its on Oct 2020. That means they sold me a product with 1 month expiry date. The shortest I had in the past was 6 months and the retailer indicated that clearly at the product page.
The Customer Service insist that they indicate "Overstock" in the website, which I don't recall seeing. The product page has been removed now I don't even have the opportunity to verify. They also have interesting interpretation to the term "Overstock". They insisted Overstock means product close to expiration date. Have showed them 2 online dictionary definition on "Overstock". Their reply word for word "We would not mark something as overstocked if it was not close to the expiration date." Good to know.
Those in US would be able to return for refund. Unfortunately I would have to pay for my own international shipping fee which cost more than the product itself.
Painful lesson learnt. My first and last purchase with Swanson.

I ordered a protein supplement on 17 September. With no advice that it would take two weeks to ship, I was informed on 3 October that it had shipped, and I received it on 8 October, three full weeks after placing the order. This is customer service? Additionally, the package when opened, contained a bunch of third party ads, one of which was for a "one star" rated veteran support charity of which I, as an active Vietnam Veteran have never heard. I wonder how much Swanson is paid to put this crap in their snail paced shipments.

Terrible customer service reps. I had been purchasing vitamins from Swanson for years and spent thousands and they have no loyalty to long term customers at all. Trouble placing orders. Promo codes never work and sometimes increase the price! I recently tried to get the 30 % health care worker discount and it would not let me apply it. When I called the next day, the rep said it was over. Conveniently ended "yesterday." All she could offer me was $20 off my alsomst $180 order. No thanks Swanson. Using Thrive Market from now on.

First, I want to say that I have used this company for over 20 years and in the past have had good experiences. That was when Lee Swanson was in charge. Now the company is being run by a bunch of narcissistic millennial 'investors' from California. However in the past few years, things have degraded to the point that this company now is probably the worst place to go for supplements. While the products that they sell are excellent, the problem is that this company can not SHIP out an order. You can put things in your cart and buy them, but the order never ships. In addition to this, the cost for international shipping is astronomical. The reason for their inability to satisfy an order is that ITEMS THAT ARE OUT OF STOCK ARE LISTED AS IN STOCK AND ADDED TO YOUR CART. Then, they hold your order for weeks HOPING that the item will 'arrive'. In the meantime, you wait and other items go out of stock and the madness continues ad infinitum. Also, the choice for shipping options for international orders is not well thought out and certainly not in the interest of the customer. I routinely get heavier orders delivered by mercola.com and vitacost for about one quarter the price... AND THOSE ORDERS ACTUALLY ARRIVE! In summary, I can no longer recommend this company because the current leadership lacks vision and is not looking out for its customers. If you want me back, just match the level of service that Mercola.com provides... until then, I will shop at his store and miss the Swanson's that I loved so much.

Double check your promo code during checkout! They will switch it to a lower % promo code right before you finalize your order! Unscrupulous.
Higher prices but more fillers like maltodextrin and modified food starch (msg); Quality is trash now! The pills are often different colors in the same bottle!
If I order from them I rarely order Swanson Brand Products anymore because the quality is so trash! Sometimes the pills come out whole in my poop! Imagine how the tablets go through your digestive system...

I chose a vitamin which was listed at $8.24 per bottle. When I went to checkout and applied a 30% promo code, the price changed to $9.98 per. Be careful when dealing with this unethical company. I used their chat line and after a painful session, the agent gave me a 20% off promo to use. This reduced the price to $8.79.As you can see, it is still $0.55 higher than regular price. They screw you either way. Buyer beware with this company.
When you call them out about their unethical standard practices, they act like it a system error and they never heard of it before.

Ordered my items on July 16,2020 and it still isn't here on July 28, 2020! CoVid has nothing to do with it. Ordered before during the same time period and received it within 4 days. Another thing, if they say they are delivering it UPS then why is it being delivered by the postal service? The reason why is these companies are taking advantage of the taxpayers via the US. Postal Service kind of like Amazon does I've heard! You seriously need to fix this problem or people like myself will buy elsewhere!
