My friend waited an hour for her Lyft, which never arrived. She had to call Uber to make it just in time to the airport.
I scheduled an Uber for a rural location to drive me to New York City. But they didn't actually secure a ride for me when I scheduled it (what's the point otherwise?), so I'm left without a ride after 20 min of watching the search screen. Now I'm paying three times the price for a professional car. Thanks a lot.

If you plan on driving for lyft be aware, I was adriver for them for over a year and all of a sudden was deactivated as a driver out of nowhere. All during the pandemic I was driving to make extra income and ly ft t comes out of the blue saying they was doing a background check on me , now as I know when they first start you as a driver they do background check on you not after working for them over a year and with a five star rating and no customer complaints at all something is not right with this and this has been going on as of late with many of the good drivers while these bad drivers with 2 and 3 star ratings are operating as drivers. Now tell me there is something wrong with this. They left a bad taste in my mouth. You can never get in contact with them when you need to. And as a driver don't ask for supplies to help you passengers. I brought everything I needed for customers water, hand sanitizer, lysol and even refreshments for the kids when needed.Take this all in to consideration if you think about working for them.

Driver didn't respect that he is blocking someone's driveway and emergency exit. I don't appreciate that. And I think they should know that s not acceptable.

I lost a cell phone in a Lyft car. Here is what the company did for me. They called the driver and it went to voicemail. He never called back. That was how hard they tried to help me find something of value in one of their cars. They should have required the driver to call them and respond. If he did not respond in two days, his job is gone. But after they called and texted him with no response, they said they tried, and dropped it. So, I won't be using their company again.

Live in Philly and LYFt took more than 40 minutes TWICE with no estimate. If you don't live in a top 4 city mind as well not even try LYFT.

After I let Lyft give my friend a ride in SF I've been charged 89 cents per month first for about a year. Then 59 cents and various amts below a dollar. Finally after no reply from Lyft I went to my bank to get another debit card Today I'm trying to hv Lyft bring my daughter to my house four blocks away Five times they have asked me if I'm sure because it's very FAR away. And meanwhile. The fare is increasing by two dollars every two min. Finally I gave up and canceled the ride !!!!!

Bottom line.....They rip off drivers but I call it stealing!! Make you drive to a location to pick up and it cancels and no cancellation fee this has happened repeatedly. And other serious app issues. Lyft does not care about drivers believe me!!!

Downloaded Lyft's app and was easy, everything worked with no issues. Got picked up within 5 minutes, great driver then within 5 minutes got a ride back. No problems. I first tried to download Uber app many times over 3 years and couldn't get it to work so I'm happy with Lyft and will stay. I highly recommend Lyft.

ATTENTION TO PHILADELPHIA RESIDENTS: Stop using Lyft. One of their drivers is using fake photos to accuse riders of damaging their car to rob them of $100-250 worth of damage fees. Even after providing photo proof that this did not occur, Lyft customer service continues to ignore the issue and not issue a refund. On Twitter, multiple people in Philadelphia have experienced the same issue and LYFT HAS DONE NOTHING ABOUT IT. Avoid Lyft at all costs until this criminal driver is caught and the passengers affected are refunded.
I have contacted Lyft multiple times through multiple platforms with multiple requests for a follow-up and received no response.

They charged me a damage fee without even ask my side of the story. A driver reported a re existing damage in his car and I was charged $100. I was never asked about the damage and was just sent a email saying they we were charging my card on file. Once I tried to dispute the charge, the customer service department was vague about the situation and eventually started ignoring my emails. Terrible company. Please use Uber and save yourself the headache.

Yesterday 3/19/2020 I requested a Lyft from my normal destination to Brooklyn. I normally pay $45 -50 roughly. For some reason the price I paid was $65.58 which was extremely high compared to the prices I normally pay. I contacted Lyft and was told this price was normal which is not compared to prices I normally pay. Watch out they are price gauging during this crisis.

App showed quote about $33 plus change. Quote disappears from app upon acceptance, never to be retrieved again. Making it a "Lyft said, rider said" with the rider locked out of the information.
Upon arrival, price was $38.97 ($39).
My last same destination ride 12 days ago was $32.62 which was actually one mile longer (driver's choice routes)
This driver said "call Lyft and they will fix it".
No phone number available, only text. They insist they recalculated and $38.97 is correct!
They won't acknowledge they get your ride by committing a lie with a false quote and not honored.
Deliberate fraud! If you choose Lyft, be to s sure to make screen shots of the original quote before clicking OK!
It may help cancel the bank transaction!

Parminder - Driving a black van/SUV. Their driver took off driving with my 6 yo still standing to sit, I had to yell for him to finally stop! Then when we got to del taco, he was instructed to wait as it was a round trip, instead he took off. I called and told him to bring my seat back, then he yelled at me on the phone saying nonsense like "my life is more important than your son's". When the company called me back, they said he would be in trouble, and they would get my stolen carseat back, then this morning it seems the opposite, and still no car seat. They said they are trying to have him drop it off to the police station, then they charged me $15 for him "finding" it lmao they are soooooo dumb. I am just going to have to go to the cops about it, thanks lyft for hiring such dangerous drivers! Some are good, yet when they are bad, they are horribly bad.

The driver never picked me up from Walmart. But accepted the ride and drove close by my home to appear as if he did. It took the money off my card although I never got in his card. And when I called to confront the drive for what he had done he hung up the phone on me. I called the company and they have yet to give me a refund or do anything to the driver for leaving me stranded but taking my money .Below is the guy picture

So Lyft sends me driver Md. who decides to pick me up at 2 Park Ave instead of 1 Park Ave (across the street) in NYC. I reported it to Lyft and this driver (Md.) makes an allegation to Lyft that I had an open bottle of alcohol in his car. Instead of Lyft contacting me about the information I sent them on the driver, they had the audacity to email me about the allegation, not addressing my concern. Talk about safety, I had to walk across Park Ave (not at an intersection) to get to his vehicle. There isn't a number to reach them on Lyft for 'customer service'. So much for us customers who made Lyft billionaires. As I await a callback, I have uninstalled their app. Jun went out of business...so Uber here I come. #thepowerofcustomerchoces.

I left my phone in Lyft 3 weeks ago. I have filed "Lost Item" a few times.
Lyft can't even get the driver to respond.
Their respond was "the drivers are independent contractors and don't have to answer to us". I was like are you for real?
They drive under you freaking name. So you don't have absolute clue who are they then. That's scary.

The vomit scam is considered old now and Lyft has come up with a new way to scam riders, no pun intended.
The coffee spill scam is the new vomit scam and costing riders hundreds of thousands of dollars a year. I have recently been the victim of this scam and Lyft refuses to deal with me at all. The driver got mad because I did not tip her and left her trunk open. The dummy sat in her car honking on the horn rather than getting her fat, lazy butt out and closing her own trunk. Furthermore, the driver arrived at my home, refused to get out and place two very light carryon pieces of luggage into the trunk of her car, and was nasty and rude when we said good morning. At our drop off location, which was the airport, we said thank you, have a great day and the driver just looked straight ahead. We had to ask her to open the trunk so we could get our luggage out. Based on the driver's bad attitude, lack of customer service and taking a longer route to the airport, she received no tip. Lyft sends out review requests following each ride and when I received that email, I rated the driver as a 1. Due to this rating as well as the lack of tip, the driver waited a full day to make up a story about spilled coffee and filed a false claim with her employer--to which a charge against my credit card was made.
Subsequently, I received the same email as everyone else about "anecdotal evidence" and that I did not have any say in the matter. I was charged a $50 clean up fee for something that never happened. The lying, broke, opportunistic bottom feeder lied, stole and cheated her way to $50. Easier than working a real, respectable job. Take it from people like me. I feel as though I have been robbed and to make matters worse, Lyft has a no due diligence, guilty until proven innocent policy. Why did the driver wait until after receiving the poor review to file her claim against me? Why were there no photos taken of the actual coffee cup showing a spill? The photos that Lyft customer service showed me only revealed dark spots with one spot appearing very old.
Lyft is running itself into the ground with lawsuit after lawsuit and will ultimately end up like Uber or worse. The company is guilty of false, deceptive and unfair trade practices and I refuse to let them get away with it. If this has happened to you, I encourage you not to give up because Lyft will not play fair. In fact, they will not even listen to you. You did it and that is all there is to it. The root of the problem is the organization itself and the manner in which workers are paid. However, drivers are fully aware of the compensation structure of the work when applying for the job and have no right to complain about not making enough money. The other issue is this: drivers are forced to pick up people with money; people who look like they even have money and are jealous. Who else could afford to pay $15 for a 3 mile drive to the airport but wealthy people such as myself? I am not going to leave my car at the airport, though. Plain and simple, green-eyed jealously! My most recent driver pulled up to my very nice home and saw a BMW and a Volvo in the driveway, plus both my mother and myself were sporting Louis Vuitton handbags. Yet, we gave the poor driver no tip. Newsflash: poor service + longer route = no tip. Here's a tip for all of your starving Lyft drivers: go to college, get an education and change your bad attitude--perhaps then you may not have to resort to lying, stealing and cheating your way to a making a few extra dollars. I have no problem helping or feeding the poor, but not this way.
I am filing a police report for extortion and Lyft and Logan Green, you will not get away with this fraud.

The app itself has too many Hang-Ups and glitches. 50% of the time I have to cycle power on my phone to restart the app to register on the drop pin I haven't made it to the destination requested. I lose a lot of time trying to get the app to function correctly, also it is embarrassing and annoying when I have to explain do the passenger every single time what am I doing when I cycle power. Also cancellation fees are not handled appropriately there are too many no call no shows and I don't get compensated correctly when people cancel. Also there was a attempt in robbery when I was waiting for a passenger, my situation as far as making sure I was okay with poorly handled. I made a police report and no effort by lift was made to reach out and ask if I need psychological help. The only question I ever got was a rider with you and is your car okay? I can see that all Lyft cares about is anything and everything except the driver as a driver's perspective I will be going with Uber have a nice day Lyft.

Where do I start? First, more times than not. The driver is always across the street or down the road. Everywhere but where Im waiting. It's not my service I live in a big city near main criss streets second I've never used luxury service through lyft but yet get charged or somehow charged it. I find as many miscellaneous charges as real charges.. Mainly though you can never reach a real person.. I've sent many emails only to get ignored. So if I had it to do over I would never ever use lyft again.. Whoever these people are. They are crooks. I'm not even sure it's anything more than computerized. Like I said no one has proven different.. #stayaway$
