When I decided I no longer wanted to be an instructor, I emailed Zumba to let them know I was no longer an instructor and that I wanted to terminate my membership.
They proceed to tell me that I was NOT ALLOWED to cancel my membership until I "speak to a representative over the phone"
So. That didn't sit well with me, and was very annoyed with that considering that at this point I had been an instructor for 9 years. On a side note......." Thanks Zumba for never acknowledging my loyalty and tenure"
So yeah. I called Visa and just simply told them that Zumba was NOT ALLOWED to take anymore money from me. That ended things pretty quick.
Loved my classes and participants. DO NOT love the customer service for Zumba

No one has gotten back too me about placing my account on hold. Now I might be charged because nobody reached out to my emails or got back to my phone calls about placing it on hold. Just so unprofessional and out of order. I love Zumba but wish it didn't feel so scammy sometimes.

They just want you to join the ZIN network and then they will make it virtually impossible to get out of it and stop the payments.
If you like dancing, just dance it's for free. You don't need to pay for a class.

WARNING: They make it VERY difficult to cancel your ZIN membership. Keep that in mind before signing up for it.
I taught Zumba for 5 years and the first 4 years I went to the Zumba training every year to keep my license. Each training was $225 if you register early. The last year I decided to sign up for ZIN (Zumba Instructor Network) for $40 a month because I couldn't find a training before my year was up. This would allow me to keep my license without having to attend the 8 hour training every year. They send you music and choreography every 2 months with ZIN but the music they send is terrible so I always had to spend extra money buying music.
When I tried to cancel my membership, they asked me several personal questions and tried to convince me not to cancel even though I told them I wasn't interested in teaching it anymore. Then they said they couldn't cancel it until I pay the upcoming month even though the website clearly says you can cancel before the end of the month in order not to not be charged for the next month. I tried to cancel 10 days before the end of the month. When I pointed out what the website says, they tried to say I couldn't cancel because I must pay for at least a year before I'm able to cancel; which is a lie because their website says you only need to pay for 6 months before you could cancel. I've paid for 10 months at this point. Mind you, I stopped teaching 3 months before I finally decided to cancel.
Long story short, they made me be late for work and still refused to cancel my membership. Gave me a long list of excuses not to cancel it so I hung up the phone. Luckily, I was paying for it with a prepaid card so they won't see another dime from me.

As many people before me I also advise you strongly AGAINST using zumba.com for purchasing any merchandise or training course. Their customer service is non existent! if you buy some clothing from the site you'll have to pay for the postage & it's not a company based in UK. They are in Netherlands! Absolutely NO EXCHANGES = if the item does not fit, you'll have to pay again to return it (postage + new packaging). Then you'll have to pay again to receive the item in correct size! Refunds are unheard of! They just tell you that you agreed to their terms and conditions.
As for the ZUMBA INSTRUCTOR TRAINING COURSE costing on average between £240 and £255 in London, IT IS ABSOLUTELY NOT WORTH IT! The venue was in Kingston (no courses in central London at all), some kind of a primary school without any A/C and with quite unpleasant loos. It's a one day course (9am - 6pm) and during that time there were absolutely no refreshments (tap water in the hall to refill your bottle...). You are advised to print your manual and you also have to print your certificate of completion at home!
So for £250 you pay, all you receive is the actual training from the instructor who then HEAVILY promotes joining ZIN network - just another money making mechanism for the company. I was forced to do this training while feeling absolutely horrific with a nasty cold. I tried to reschedule the training and they wanted me to pay in excess of £100!!! The same venue, same instructor and just one month later (because of my illness) would have cost me another £100 on top of what I have already paid! Once again the 'so called customer service rep' told me that I agreed to their terms and conditions....
AVOID ZUMBA.COM CLOTHING OR TRAINING!!!

I simply wanted to return two gift items. The website says to enter your order number but the receipt mysteriously was missing last number son I called customer service who said that all items in summer sale were final yet one item is still on the web site same price.
The website never said NO RETURNS on the order page. I would NEVER buy anything ZUMBA based on this poor experience. They refused to give out their names and refused my refund. NEVER use Zumba.com

Until recently I had been attending dan whistons Zumba class in Blackpool lancs uk. I had really enjoyed his classes till this year when his behaviour towards me started being unprofessional and inappropriate .I wrote him a letter telling him I wasn't happy and he humiliated me on social media I was devastated. I had travelled 200 miles to attend his classes. As a licensed Zumba instructor his behaviour is very unprofessional and inappropriate, he should have more respect for his students. I would not recommend anyone to attend his class .

I bought something then I made a mistake that could be easily corrected with any online seller but it has been a point of contention with Zumba. I have already made countless calls to Zumba and UPS try to fix problem. I recently moved to another town and I used PayPal to pay for the purchase without my knowledge thinking I had deleted my old address and used it in order to complete the purchase. Using PayPal is something I do often and I have found that it's relatively easy to change your shipping information right after you have made an order because of the time and they hadn't processed it yet so went ahead and called Zumba right away and actually I sent messages right away as well to try to get this fixed but I was told that the second and order is place that they can't cancel it refunded or even change the shipping information. Then they sent me to UPS to try to change it with them which I could not because at the time I didn't have the tracking information yet UPS told me without the tracking information they can't change it and that zumba should be able to do it since it's still in processing. This has led to a circus amount of calls that I have made to both Zumba UPS essentially them telling me UPS can do something and UPS telling me they cannot and it has escalated to the point to where I might never get my shipment again because of a mistake that is very easily fixed using any other type of online seller and a mistake that is quite common amongst people that shop online.I was even told by Zumba that this problem happens quite often and that UPS can change the address however in this instance that was untrue and if they know this is something that happens very often to their customers they should have some type of infrastructure that allows for users to change their address within minutes of them making mistake.

I agree with an earlier post and criticism of the Zumba corporation's treatment of its instructors. I was pressured into buying a ZIN membership during my Basic 1 class. I only took the class to get CEU credits as I'm already working as a certified fitness instructor. My instructor (April Smith) sent multiple emails about the benefits of the ZIN membership and spent at least 1 hour talking about how great the membership was. This was during an 8 hr class that I paid close to $300 to attend. I finally bought a ZIN membership, thinking that I could cancel it after one month.
When I called today to cancel my membership, the cust service rep started with about 10 minutes of follow up questions, comments, recommendations on why i needed to keep my membership. When it became clear that I wasn't planning to renew, he hit me with a statement that I had to commit to a six-month ZIN Membership. He said it was prominently written and stated everywhere and there was absolutely nothing I could do about it. I told him that April Smith never mentioned a minimum 6 month commitment during the whole day that she had us. He said it's all over their website - which I finally found after scouring their site and finding it buried in the FAQs. What a racket and a really sleazy, underhanded way to scam people for months at a time. I would NEVER recommend Zumba or ZIN this to any trustworthy instructor.

I wish I had read these reviews before placing an order. Other reviewers are correct; Zumba has no service. I ordered a gift card for my friend's birthday. Zumba sat on the order for 6 days before processing and mailing it and now I have no timely gift for my friend. They had no good explanation either. Now I am stuck with a useless gift bard.

I really thought highly of Zumba, but honestly, their customer service is the worst I have ever experienced.
I cancelled a training, and I've had to contact them over ELEVEN times just to get the refund. ELEVEN TIMES!
They first told me that my money was refunded, and would be in the bank in 5 to 7 days. Then they told me, when I got into contact with them again, that it would take another 7 days! Then after FOUR WEEKS they told me to give them information about my bank details, so that they could process my payment. So, basically they lied to me for weeks about my money coming!
I'm actually really angry with their service, I've never seen service as appalling as this. They are very quick to take money off of you. But it seems impossible to get it back! They have all of my bank and paypal details, so really, they shouldn't have to ask anyway. And if they did have to ask, why the hell didn't they ask me in the first place.
Sorry for angry rambling. But, their business etiquette and care for their customers is beyond terrible. And, I tried to be patient and reasonable with them.

This site is ridiculous. Made a large order with some wrong sizes and they refuse to let me exchange. Ordering online always comes with the risk of something that doesnt fit. Didnt ask for my money back but simply an exchange of sizes and they wouldnt allow it. What kind of crap is that?! never ordering again

As a Zumba fitness Instructor I LOVE shopping here. Great shoes, clothing and accessories... Sizes can be tricky so read the reviews for each article if unsure

Horrible Customer Service, clearly they don't care. Bought a bunch of items during one of their big clearance sales. None of the shirts fit; way bigger than I expected. Went through their return process online creating a label, etc. and sent the items back. Now after talking with them I realize that because of the sale you CANNOT return anything. I don't remember seeing a disclaimer when I made this purchase. If you go to where it says Return Policy on the website it says they want 100% satisfaction. It says they will refund the full amount for all purchases as long as the returns are received within 30 days. It seems like it won't be a problem + there's nothing on this page that says this doesn't apply to Sales. So, it's rather shady. I called up and they won't do anything. I will basically forfeit the merchandise and lose out on approx. $50. OR I can pay $8.25 in shipping for them to send the items back. They actually suggested I try to sell them. Ridiculous! What kind of company does that? Practically every other business I can think of will give you your $$ back no questions asked or at the very least do an exchange or offer credit. Also, don't click on Contact Us, it only let's you write an email. You have to click on "Support Hours" for the phone #.

I tried to give 0 stars but it wouldn't let me....like Gail, I had a size issue. It was my first time ordering from Zumba.com and I ordered because my instructor gave me a $30 off coupon. I was excited because, normally I wouldn't order something from there because they were so expensive. This made a purchase affordable to try them out. I looked through all the clothes and settled on a pair of pants that I *loved*...they were so cute! Looked at the sizing chart and, based on the measurements there (and I measured myself as I was looking at them!!), I ordered a Large. Pants came later and I excitedly tried them on. DOH!! Too big...and I don't mean a little too big...a lot too big!! They absolutely will NOT do a size exchange despite it being an online company and the customer can't try them on! That's one if the most ludicrous things I've come across for an online clothing 'store'!! What I have to do is 'return it for a refund (which takes 30+ days) then turn around and buy the Medium'....and. OH, by the way, I'd have to buy them at the regular price because the coupon was no longer good!! And they acted like that wa a perfectly good solution!!! The guy I talked to on the phone even suggested I give them to 'a friend who is also passionate about Zumba'....WHAT???? I could not believe what I was hearing....told him I was highly unsatisfied with that whole thing....he said he hoped that try could change my mind in the future....told him they won't have a chance to do that. They really didn't see the problem.....remarkable! All I wanted was a medium sent back to me....should have been a simple thing!!!

After being put on hold for an hour. THe rep was very nice. But found out that one item ordered was on back order, and they could not chage the order and subitute it for a different size or coloer that was in stock. Ok....whatever on that item, just ship it when you have it in stock. The other item was on sale. I ordered a Med size and it was like an XS. So, I asked if I could return it for a different size? No, no returns on sale items. What about exchages? I just want a larger size? Sorry, you will have to order it separtly and you are stuck with the small size. It is like stealing!!! All they have to do is change the size. Even if they charged me for shipping I could understand, but that is their policy. Very wrong and unethical.

they charge a "handling fee" to process orders - took 3 weeks to receive order - which was damaged and the box WAS NOT EVEN SEALED so some items were missing. You cannot get to speak to a live person at the phone number and their response time on the web site is poor, poor, poor. I paid for FedEx ground shipping - the damaged item was in my mailbox - which only the USPS can unlock so i did not get the shipping i paid for and the handling fee is a joke. i would NEVER order from them again.
