I was pleased with the initial service and pricing in 2018 when I used them. The warranty claim is worthless. Multiple attempts were made by email, phone, and using the claimed method on the website. No response has been received until day three. As I spoke with a rep she said the claim had just become visible and was going to redirect me to the claim department who never picked up and sent me to voice mail. It feels like this site is run out of someone's home instead of a large trustworthy company.

Scheduled service. The mechanic notified me after the appointment start time (noon) that his car overheated and he was stuck on the side of the road.
I then tried to get another mechanic and they ultimately charged me for their failure. California company, not local.

I like to give people the benefit of the doubt when things happen...but what just took place today, well it was a blatant LIE !!!!
Set up an appointment like all the others who have written complaints about this company. i actually set my appointment about 10 days ago, kept getting friendly reminders about my service appointment....even received one yesterday.
Well today, 2 hours before the mechanic is scheduled to show, I get a text message saying he will NOT be coming to do the work. I'm on the East coast, and the message comes to me at 8 am EST and 5 am PST. I call the 800 customer service number and since they do not open until 6 am PST, no one to vent to! I wait and call back.....on hold for 30 minutes, and finally I speak to someone named Johnny. I tell him the scenario, and give him my order # ....I asked why 2 hours before my scheduled appointment I get such a text?....he replies with the reason the mechanic gave for cancelling the service. This is too much.....bad weather!
Please all you "UPPER MANAGEMENT" people there at Your Mechanic, check the weather for Indian Trail, NC from 10 am - 4 pm on the internet for October 7th 2019. I'll save you some time.....10 am (time of the appointment) 67 and SUNNY!, 11 am 72 and SUNNY, Noon 75 and SUNNY, 1 pm 77 and SUNNY, 2 pm 79 and SUNNY, and 3 pm 80 and SUNNY......job was to take 2.5 hours. Where the heck would some lame excuse of bad weather come in to play here?
Taking my business elsewhere, and will not ever reach out to this poor excuse of a company again.

First time I used this service was for a oil change and it went well. Second time I needed to get a brake diagnostic and this service wasted my time and about $800 of my money on “a brake booster” which was not the problem at all. Save your time and money and go to an actual mechanic shop that has the proper equipment to check out your car. The mechanic didn’t have the proper equipment to give a good brake diagnostic whatsoever.

I decided to give it a try, based on reviews. It was a terrible experience, at almost every level except for the mechanic, who was polite, showed up on time, and was knowledgeable. Everything else was a joke. They lied to me on the phone, asked me to schedule another appointment to fix the issue, tried to charge me a $75 "inspection fee" (I raised that specific concern before my appointment and was told that there was no such fee, specifically)... I cannot recommend at all.

Everything on their website looks good and their price seemed reasonable so I was appalled by the way I was treated. I simply wanted to ask a couple of questions before I booked the appointment for a pre-purchase inspection. I quickly found out that YourMechanic consistently won't answer their phone, puts customers on hold indefinitely-I gave up after 25 minutes, ignores customers' messages and won't return calls. A car is a big and important investment. I don't believe I want to hire somone to do the inspection, when it's impossible to communicate with them.

I purchased a basic maintenance package for oil changes, tire rotations, etc and each time my car had more issues than before they came.
The company seemed like a dream come true, offering car maintenance at your home for a reasonable price. The reality of the company is far from dream-like. I had 3 services with them. The first time a year ago went fine. The second a year later, I took off from work to come home early only to get a message an hour after my appt had passed that they would not be there. When they came back a week later to give my car an oil change and rotate my tires, the next day my car wouldn't accelerate on the highway. When I called them about the issue they said they were going to charge me to come and review their work for $99! I told them it was unacceptable to charge me when my car was working just fine before they came. In fact I had just taken my car to the dealership the day prior for a basic repair and the dealership said my car was in excellent working condition. On my call with Your Mechanic, I was met with the usual condescending arrogance I've come to be familiar with from dealing with men in the auto repair industry. After negotiating, they finally came out to review their repair at no charge. I went inside of my house and watched from a window where the repairman couldn't see me watching him work. The repairman was on his iphone most of the time, I did not see him bring out any additional tools as he was looking under my hood. After about 40 minutes the repairman came to my door and told me that the check engine light was on for him, though I wouldn't see it on my dash because of his “special tool” that gave him a reading. He said I would need new spark plugs and similar items and I could book online for the service. Maybe his special tool was in his iphone or maybe he pulled out the special tool when I stepped away to go to the bathroom for 5 minutes, I'm not sure, but I didn't believe his recommends. It all seemed conveniently designed by them to cover up for poor work. I took my car to the dealership to have a 250 point inspection to look into the problem for a fee of $250. They said that spark plugs were not an issue, that they had made the wrong recommend.
The combination of their condescending tone paired with my car leaving each maintenance with a new issue is unacceptable. I had to do double the work of going to the dealer and paying out of pocket to check their lousy work. I do not trust them and want others to know as well before they cause real damage.

YOUR MECHANIC "REPAIRED" MY AIR COMPRESSOR 3 MONTHS AGO AND IT BROKE AGAIN 3 DAYS AGO. THEY CAME OUT DETERMINED THEIR PART WAS FAULTY AND SCHEDULED AN APPOINTMENT FOR TODAY TO REPLACE IT. I WAS TRANSFERRED TO THE WARRANTY DEPARTMENT THREE TIMES AND FINALLY A REP FROM CUSTOMER SERVICE SAID THE WARRANTY DEPARTMENT IS NOT TAKING CALLS RIGHT NOW AND SOMEONE WILL CALL ME BACK.
I HAVE NO IDEA HOW I WILL GET MY KIDS TO THEIR ACTIVITIES THIS WEEKEND.
THIS IS THE ABSOLUTE WORSE CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED.
My car still isn't fixed. I've been on hold trying to speak with someone in the WARRANTY Department for a total of 90 minutes (2 separate calls) to no avail. And the supervisor Sam has not returned my attempts to communicate with him directly. Please, do your patronize this service it's not worth the trouble.

Having waited a few days for a time slot, the mechanic cancelled immediately after notification was sent that they were on there way. No explanation. Tried calling, sat on hold for 15 minutes, gave up. I appreciate things happen, but given I re-arranged a work day to make time, an explanation is in order.

Your mechanic...Was a horrible experience it’s says on there website....We will Not bill your card until work is done.... and they did...now I’m taking the bus to work....and the escalations dept. doesn’t return our calls....the so called mechanic thought our garage was a bar I saw him drinking beer and he fell asleep in our garage until 3 am ....he was so creepy.... I was afraid of him he didn’t fix our car.....do not recommend it at all....On your Reply if you really want to work with us why haven’t you call us....

My negative experience is but one of hundreds posted here, speckled with the rare (and suspiciously canned) positive review. Too long to detail, but lets say 2 unqualified and inexperienced mechanics misdiagnosed my vehicle's problem, and after being told by their representative (on a recorded line no less!) that I wouldn't be charged for a repair that didn't fix the problem - here I am with all of the hundreds of angry customers that YourMechanic has ripped off (minus my $500 +/- mind you).
Dear Anthony Rodio (CEO of YourMechanic), I recommend you create a company and service that are remotely capable of delivering on your dishonesty and empty promises. Go back to the drawing board - maybe read The New Economics by Dr. Demming. Your company is a failure, and poor Rita is sick and tired of responding to all of these horrendous tales of deception and theft.
Most alarming to us here the USA is, how do they have an A rating with the BBB?
BTW - I have lodged a formal complaint with the BBB, and contacted the media regarding YourMechanic's fraudulent practices. We might be seeing more of you on all of the TV networks that your website so proudly displays...

this is very bad. the guarantee is a BS thing. the engine light was on. thay sent people over to fix it. the cost for inspection was about $75. a total cost to fix the engine light was about $175. 7 months later, the engine is on again. i called them and was told they would send a mechanic to inspect the car. if it’s their problem, they will fix it free of charge. if it’s my car problem, they will charge me $94.99 for the inspection. i called it BS. it doesn’t make any sense to me at all. why $94.99 for inspection when i only paid $75 for original inspection. this us my last time with “yourmechnic” and i would not recommend it to anyone.

This is a continuation of another review I left two weeks ago.
YourMechanic has still not fixed my car and I have no resolution. They authorized a rental car ($30/day) for the days I have been out of a car but I have to front the cost. They do not have a corparate account with a rental car company so I have to trust that they will not give me the run around again to when I try and gain reimbursement from them.
Long Story Short - Your mechanic installed an air compressor 3 months ago in my vehicle, just short of a month ago the part they installed failed. They ordered a new part, that was also faulty. I waited another week for them to install the correct part, which ultimately did not fix the problem. I then waited another week fro them to diagnose the issue and they cancelled the appointment. I was advised this morning that I was "authorized" to take it to an outside shop for a diagnostic that they would not pay for. If the report comes out that they are responsible they will review the mechanic's report and "see what they can do" to compensate me. This company is a complete scam that has given me the run around and strung me along for 3 and a half weeks. This has costs me hundreds of dollars out of pocket and countless hours on the phone and time off of work. Please Please Please save yourself some heartache and time and go to a liscensed mechanic shop.

My car battery dry would die overnight. Yourmechanic came out for an inspection fee. 79.99. He told me I needed an new alternator and if I picked it up he would install the next day for 189.00
He did that and the following day the battery was dead again. They sent another guy out and were charging me 89.99 inspection fee because the alternator was not under Warrenty because I supplied it. I explained that the mechanic they sent told me to pick it up. The person making the decision would not change her verdict. I disputed the charges on my credit card because the promised services were not delivered.

I scheduled an appt. with your mechanic and someone finally showed up. I looked out my door and saw the mechanic sitting in his car appearing to be talking on the phone. I figured he would call me after he finished that business and the company had promised he would call me when he arrived. A few minutes later looked out the door and he was gone. He did not call me. I called the your mechanic office and was told he texted me and they were going to have to charge me for missing my appt. After I stopped screaming at him he said he wouldn't charge me but would rescheduled. He rescheduled for two days later. When t mechanic didn't show up I checked my phone and also my e-mail.Your mechanic sent me an e-mail that was written three hours before the mechanic was supposed to show up saying they were sorry that they did not have a mechanic qualified to work on my Cadillac.
If you believe that story you are in danger of being considered a fool.My advice is to put up a sign in your garage with the name your mechanic written on it and then another sign beside it with the instructions not to call these people.

What a joke these people are!!!Please dont waste your money I am a single mom.and time is valuable that's why I originally called them.for services. they never showed up for the 1st appointment then showed up late for the reschedule. I asked for an oil change and 2weeks later oil light pops up. Took my car to a shop and my car was depleted of oil. Turns out not only did the guy didn't change oil he didn't change filter. Unbelievable Please Please dont use these people. I called 4 times today to complain and I was put on hold every single time. No help at all. This is ridiculous!! Sent out someone who didn't know how to fix my car, prior to this he tried to cancel on me twice and I refused. The fact that they would send out someone who doesn't know how to do the job requested is ridiculous. Customer service is impossible to contact. Stay away, believe the reviews. They are a terrible company.

I scheduled an appointment for service on my vehicle about a week prior to the appointment. I received confirmation of that appointment the day before. I never suspected no one would show up. About an hour after my appointment I called customer service. I sat on hold for 20 min only for Eduardo to tell me he wasn’t sure what was going on but he would call the tech, Curtis Lamonte Corley, and call me back. About 15 min later, he calls and leaves me a voicemail stating that the tech was having problems with his app and couldn’t work without the app. He also stated that he was going to escalate my issue to a supervisor to come up with a solution. Three days later, I’ve not received a call. This left me stranded because my vehicle was not working which is why I needed service to begin with. Luckily for me, the universe is on my side cause I was able to get my vehicle fixed, the same day for a 1/4 of what yourmechanic was gonna charge. If you’re looking at this as an option, I wouldn’t recommend it at all.
