My PE98MTVIPL unit went back for repair 5 weeks ago. I email customer service and was told that they were waiting on parts and if I didn't want to wait I could pay £60 to get a replacement unit or wait for the parts to show up. I did offer to pay for an upgrade to a different model since the screen on the PE98MTVIPL is poor in the transporter. The screen is unreadable in any sunlight and the viewing angle if trying to look at the screen from the back seat is unreadable in any light. Would not recommend this unit in a transporter T5.1 and hope you never have to return it as the service department are abismal.

Purchased a Xtrons Mercedes head unit
model PB76M220AP for $400 a couple years ago. Worked great for about a year (btw, I had a friend who is an electrical engineer install it with me). Suddenly it became glitchy and wouldn't shut off sometimes. I did a factory reset and this removed some of the native installed apps like the phone. The radio is still glitchy. I contacted Xtrons and offered to ship it to them and pay to have software reinstalled. They were absolutely no help! It was installed properly, I didn't install any weird or crazy apps, it's just a piece of crap with no support.

They will not warranty their products. Once you pay for it, you are on your own. Correspondence is great till you want to claim warranty. Then they fall off the face of the earth. They claimed that the unit never fails. I bought 2 units from them. 1 works and the other will not shut off and keeps draining my battery. Also, SRS light stays on when unit is connected.

Biggest piece of crap radio I've ever bought in my life do not waste your money. Doesn't do everything the listing stated it would or is misleading. And quit playing CDs within 3 months yet it'll come on as I drive down the road and hit a pothole but not when I wanted to. My suggestion keep on looking don't even think twice about xtrons this should be put out of business. Hong Kong should keep that crap over there

Paying for service ?
10 month ago I bought a (PR7835H) head-unit for my IX35.
On the website of Xtrons, in the specs they sayed the unit had a canbus connection and would communicate with the car. Information from the car would be display on the head-unit and some information from the head-unit (navigation info) would be display on the cars dashboard. So I bought the Xtrons because I like that feature. But ..... The information was incorrect. There was no communicatie between the car and the head-uinit. Sorry they said and changed the text on their website.
Now, after 10 month using the unit, the usb connection fails. The unit doesn't read any USB stick anymore.
So I contacted Xtrons support and they said it ' could be' the USB cable. I should buy a new one (25 GBP). The cable is not covered by the 1 year warranty they said. But one there website the say there is a 2 years warranty and only purchased (so not included) accesoires have only 90 days warranty.
" Beyond this 30 day period, you are covered under our 2 year manufacturer’s warranty on all main items, and 90 days on all purchased accessories "
So, that information is also wrong ??????
Never an Xtrons again for me.

read this. well where do I start 1 you need someone to rewrite your manuels they are terrible! 2 stop putting to much on the head unit concentrate on your core products radio,satnav,disk,tv,you don`t need tyre sensors,or obd tools etc. You could also put on line more information on connection and usage.

Bought an Android unit, having previously had one of their non Android units, which was ok, not great, but about what you would expect for the money. The Android unit arrived quite quickly, looked well made, and came with plenty of interconnect cables. No install details, and a truly awful manual (how many people on this planet speak English? Just find one and ask them to translate, same for your website!). All was going well, apart from an annoying hum that I hadn't got to the bottom of. When after about 3 hours, it just locked up on the start up screen, and refused to budge, disconnected power, reset, and a full reset as described online by another user, nothing would fix it. Got in touch with supplier (Ebay source) and two days later I got a response, advising actions I had told them I had already done. I mailed them to say that this still didn't work, 24 hours before another response and again they advised actions I had already done, this happened three times before I said I just wanted to send it back. The unit was DEAD. Through the ebay returns process they responded well and refunded promptly.
I really wanted to like this product and the company, and was ready to try again with them, until visiting here and seeing that my experience was possibly one of the better ones.

Started selling Xtrons car radios and navigation systems in 2016. With a good marketing strategy, we managed to become the largest reseller in Europe in a short period of time. After this we were invited by Xtrons to come to England for an interview. During this conversation we discussed the many complaints we receive, and asked what solution they are going to come up with and the warranty period we receive. The conversation went well, we had good faith in it. After 2/3 hours we left for the Netherlands, and discussed how we will continue on the way. We have made a plan to sell more in the short term, also to prove ourselves to Xtrons, so that we get better service and better prices, because the service and the prices could be better. But for that we also had to prove ourselves.
At the start we had many complaints about the FM reception from the radios and about the poor Bleutooth connection, which made it impossible to have a good conversation in the car. The solution was an external Antenna amplifier of approximately 5USD that we had to pay ourselves, and an external Microphone of 5USD that we also had to pay for ourselves. The customer received from us an external antenna amplifier and a microphone, this cost us with shipping costs 17USD. At the beginning, we didn't get hard about this, until it started to get a lot and we actually started making a loss. Because in order to be able to connect an antenna amplifier and a microphone, the radio has to be reassembled, the customer here pays around 100 Euros at a dealer, so the customers were not happy with our solution. We incurred a cost of 17USD but the customer himself had to pay 100EURO at a garage. We were able to help most ourselves because they lived in the neighborhood, but many of our customers did not live in the neighborhood. So the problem with antenna reception and microphone costs us a lot of money and negative reactions from the customers.
After about a year almost all screens of the radios with WIN CE operating system broke down. At first, Xtrons did not want to fix it. We found out later that we only got 1 year warranty and not 2 years as stated on their site. After complaining and threatening to stop selling, they decided to give us a 2 year warranty on the screens only. Unfortunately it was never free of charge for us, because we always had to pay for shipping costs to Xtrons and shipping costs to the customer, and if the customer has already had problems with the FM antenna reception then this became a lot for the customer and the customer wanted money back after 1 year. Because the customer had to pay another 50-100 EURO for dismantling the screen and sending it back to us.
The above problems were not minimal. It is normal for an electronic product to break, but at Xtrons this was really extremely high, but we did not realize this because Xtrons kept persuading us and telling us that this was normal in this industry.
We had to have had no other choice, because we had sold a lot and the customers are entitled to warranty, so we had to help them and provide good service. The worst thing was that the repairs didn't work properly, so there was a good chance that a customer would get a broken radio again, which meant we had a lot of angry customers who were threatening us. Most were entitled to money back, so we had to pay back money, and the old radio, we could never sell it like new. These radios were also after a while about the warranty period, because the warranty period was 1 year, only on screens we got 2 years. As a result, we had to throw away many radios, or used the parts from them.
In the meantime we complain to Xtrons and ask for a solution or compensation, but that is never realized, they keep us on the line, come up with very nice excuses, so that we sell a lot in the meantime.
This is a summarized story about Xtrons, before we went to put this story online, we made many attempts to find a solution for it together, but xtrons does not want to work with it. Eventually I made a calculation of our damage, which comes to around 75000USD and I asked xtrons to pay us 25000USD, then they were allowed to keep the 100 Radios from us, these have been at Xtrons since February and would be repaired. In the end, I threatened Xtrons to post a story online if they don't come up with a solution, then use it as an excuse not to help us. It was all a tactic, they knew that we would not sell anymore, so they did not feel like repairing the 100 radios.
Xtrons always told us that the number of broken radios coming back to us is normal. But we now have 2 new suppliers, and have sold more radios in 1 year than we have sold at Xtrons in 3 years. The repairs we receive are minimal, and the service we receive is top. After this we knew for sure that we were actually scammed by Xtrons and kept on the line.
The most common product complaints at Xtrons are:
- Poor antenna reception
- Poor bluetooth connection
- Bad touchscreen
- Outdated GPS maps (IGO is illegal but still sell them)
- The navigation does not work after a few months because the map is broken.
- Crashing Android systems
- Fixed startup screen
- Stains on the screen
- Sound crackles when you call, an external microphone usually does not help.
Note, they always say: But we now have better models, more expensive models, these have no problems. In my story I mentioned the complaints about WIN CE models, because we had sold them the most. But the Android models have other complaints such as: Flickered screen, Stains in screen, Crashing apps, Bad microphone for calling. And other small understandable complaints.

Plain and simple--Great! My 2002 Mercedes C230 needed an upgrade in the audio/phone/navigation department. After a lot of internet searching, I found an Xtrons unit that claimed to be 100% compatible with my car make and model. I bought it for approximately $300 US (it came with a free backup camera as well) and had it all installed for approximately $250 US. Absolutely everything worked as advertised and it has the appearance of being made for the car as promised. Honestly, I couldn't be happier with the product!

Purchased the 10" TE103AP from Ebay through xtrons-ca on January 6th 2019. Units screen was faulty upon arrival. It had horizontal lines and the background could hardly be seen. I contacted the seller and I was asked to return for an exchange/refund and not to loose the shipping receipt as may be needed in the future as a proof for the charge.
They made me send it to UG Electronics C/O Shine Shipping Inc 1176 E. California St. Ontario CA 91761. Here is the tracking Fedex 774204429388
After the return I waited but could not see my refund. I had to send them the tracking number and tell them that it had been awhile and I was still waiting. First time experiencing having to remind the seller for a refund cause of a faulty item return. They finally sent my refund for the unit but not for the return shipment. Since my late refund for the item it has been a month and I am yet to get my return shipping charges of $12.97. I was thinking about getting another unit but after this experience I do not trust Xtrons anymore. They have horrible customer service. They are very shady. They made me wait cause it was Chinese spring break and some other stuff but they still do not send my refund. Imagine if my device were to be broken after 6 months of purchase date. I don't think they would honor any sorts of warranty. Just go to your electronics store and stick with Pioneer, Kenwood, Sony... any of the big brands but a Chinese manufacturer. You have been warned! It has been 2months and they still make me wait. I sent 25 messages so far. I am not sure how long more it will take. Very disappointed. STAY AWAY from these crooks!
Finally received the return money as of March 1st. Thank you. Never again Xtrons, never again overseas especially Chinese manufacturers.

excellent customer service. Quick and efficient. I contacted customer services as was struggling to find a spare bracket for my in car tvs. They were very helpful and when the product was out of stock ordered them directly from the factory. Instead of waiting the 2 week on back order I had them in 2 days. Superb would highly reccomend.

CAUTION : even if Xtrons has a warehouse in UK, they often send via DHL to Europe : expect custom fee.
moreover, Xtrons will say that they are not liable because it is written in the terms and conditons.
I don't recommend that seller, I won't purchase anymore with them.
last point : presale questions are answered the same day. Aftersale requests are answered after severel days and 3 emails...
Last last point :
for my first buy with Xtrons, I had trouble during the warranty. Hopefully, I paid with paypal. Paypal dispute has been the only way to get my problem fixed (had to pay 40GBP and send back the defevtive head unit to get a new one...)
xtrons do not have Paypal anymore, probably because of the numerous disputes as depicted on different reviews here : Paypal dispute will not be an option. Considering the aftersale behaviour of Xtrons, you will probably never have a solution.

Like many of the other reviews mine was sent from China and I had to pay for tax which I was only told about after it had been shipped. I don't believe Xtrons have anything in their "UK warehouse" as they would have to pay the import duties. Also they don't advertise that the unit will only accept one bluetooth connection so you can't have your phone and the obd2 connection at the same time. Manuals are complete rubbish with very poor english. Gave it 3 stars since it works well once you manage to spend a few days working out how it works.

I bought a radio for $ 350, got installed, worked for only an hour, then the display started to hang and blink; the backlight does not respond to pressing, I tried to contact support, they said sending for repairs and sending back is another $ 100 why should I pay for poor quality?
