I called to cancel my service in July 2020, informing customer service our last pickup day would be 8/11/20 and that the containers could be picked up that day also and she indicated they would be. I then paid what I THOUGHT was my final bill on 8/4/20. The new owners moved in 8/14 and apparently the containers were still at the house and not picked up until 8/26. Now on 9/23 I receive ANOTHER bill for $107 which is apparently a $75 charge for removal of container plus fuel and environmental charges? Why so delayed? When I called customer service they were not helpful just kept referring to the “fine print” on each months bill apparently stating these charges would happen if and when we stopped service, even though we’ve used Waste Management for years at multiple houses. Waste management is overpriced and this final removal fee is ridiculous. I will never do business with Waste Management again.
Update: Waste management reviewed my case and is wiping out my last bill for the removal fees. I am very appreciative and have changed my review from one to 3 stars due to this. Octavia at Waste Management is wonderful but I’m still not sure about them as a whole.
