I have notified WhiteSmoke last year within24 hours of purchase that I was unhappy with their service and wanted to cancel and get refunded but it turned out being more like an argument, where I had to keep justifying back an forth why I was unhappy with the product.
This year, to my surprise I was charged again for another annual subscription. I do not use Whitesmoke, not more now than last year, so I wrote them again for the 129.83 USD which were taken out of my account (this year) without any validation on my side that I was willing to extend my subscription to be refunded as soon as possible.
I am afraid the problem won't be solved again so I decided to write this on this review to see if their staff will do the honourable thing and contact me for my refund.

PROS: Synonym function that help to choose the proper word. However, it is not user friendly. Desktop version did not function properly such as translator, it also did not uninstall with the window version updated. The web log in is error so often, it keeps showing username and password wrong, while the support team take too long to reply the issue, and not follow or provide the possible solution. CONS: The billing department for cancellation did not response the related issue about the refund. The customer service did not offer any helps and solutions. And finally they lose your contact without any responses or responsibility. I decide to get the refund, but I have not any response from the billing department, just only automated responses sent back. Hope this helps before subscription.

IT Dept can't install WhiteSmoke because this is considered a KEYLOGGER.IT IS MALWARE. SPYWARE.
Guess what -- you can call and write to their customer service department all day long and there is NO ONE THERE! Some kind of foreign scam -- RUN AWAY.

Very Very Bad Customer Service!! May be scam.
I renewed my Whitesmoke license in February of this year. It worked for a few days and stopped working. I have sent several emails to the company and made several phone calls. My phone calls were never returned despite leaving several messages. After following up with several emails, someone replied and said my license purchase was from a few years ago and that's why it isn't working.
I replied stating that I purchased a new license in February, 2019. I even provided the paypal transaction code for payment.
Till date, I still have not heard back from them and my money has not been refunded.

I really wish I had read the reviews before I bought this. The company's software is appalling but the customer service is far far worse. I initially asked for a trial of the software, they said they don't provide it but will give me a refund if I'm not happy with the software and request it within a week. I downloaded the software - it was terrible - so I requested the refund within minutes of downloading it. I received no refund and no reply from continuous emails. I'm now in the process of escalating the matter in order to get my money back. PLEASE PLEASE avoid this company. It's a SCAM

This company does not deserve to exist. They are the worst kind of people. They do not support after selling their software. I purchased the premium version of the software and it stopped working within a week. I contacted the support. But they did not reply. After waiting for a few days I reinstalled the software. Now, the product key they sold to me did not work. I mailed them several times, but they never replied. I raised several tickets on their customer portal,but they never even opened it.
I finally gave up on them.
Do not buy their software.

Company deliberately misleads by selling a lifetime license which runs out. Support doesn't respond with a new activation code or any support at all, they don't provide a phone number either.

Purchased a "WhiteSmoke Premium Expert - Lifetime plan" but no longer able to us after 3 years.
I am told to pay further subscription to continue use their product despite previously purchased a Lifetime Plan.
Stay away from dealing with this company. They attempt to SCAM the consumer with misleading advertisement or fraudulent action.

Do not purchase from this company! Once you purchase the software you can not get in touch with anyone for support. I have not been able to get access to this application since I purchased it last month and have made 9 attempts to contact them. No one answers the 800 sales number or responds to messages. When you open a support ticket, it goes unanswered and unresolved. They only send you an automated response saying they will close your dispute because they have not heard back from you. I've just opened a case with Paypal to try and get my money back - hopefully, it will get resolved this way.

They have the worst customer service. I literally wrote 3 tickets to cancel my subscription and despite their assurance of 'replying within 48 hours', they still haven't replied to any of my tickets when it's been a week since I submitted my first ticket! I made a big choice to invest over $80+ to this horrendous company that doesn't even provide a demo version for the new customers to try their product, and now that I'm requesting a full refund, they're completely ignoring my emails! I cannot stand this absolute mistreatment and scam that I've experienced with this company. They literally sucked my money and now refusing to give it back now that i'm requesting a refund. I will be filing a formal complaint with Better Business Bureau. 100% do not recommend. I converted to Grammarly, and I assure you they promise a better customer service and product.

Urgent Request for technical Support. have used your product for at least 6 years. I renewed in March downloaded the update and ran install. I keep getting an error message (R6034).
I have called for support over 5 times and Sent at least 5 contact messages since March but NOT ONE RESPONSE.
After I read the reviews I understand why The better Business Bureau has WhiteSmoke rated an "F", (its lowest score>

My advice is: do not buy!!!!
The software does not work the way it should. It is buggy, it mixes the text itself ... in short, it does not work well.
I kindly asked for a refund, followed all the instructions and explained the reason for my decision. I also provided a screenshot of the error screen. No answer for two days. None.
I will start the process with PayPal and also with my credit card company.
If I do not get the money back in 24 hours on my PayPal account, I will go straight to the Police.
I want my money back!

Do not buy from this company. I have been a user for many years. Have two-lifetime licenses. After my hard drive crash, tried to reinstall on a new drive. Activation key doesn’t work. It is more than 2 months as I am trying to get tech support. The phone number doesn't work. Nobody returns messages. Tickets left unassigned, with automated emails threatening to close the ticket after 72 hours. Shame. Good software but none existing support. Reputation is in a gutter.

Worst products and customer service ever! Their products were so buggy and messed up my texts all the time. Their customer service was even worse. I haven't heard anything from them since my request for a refund three days ago. When I tried to send them another email to their billing department, the email couldn't go through. I wonder if their company is still in business. Never use their services again!

I bought this Product 18 feb 2019. I found out is not working .. Give wrong suggestions, disorganize the text and sometimes delete the whole paragraph without a possibility of undoing it with one click. I have to retrieve word by word . A lot of bugs. I wasted alot of time correcting all the mistakes the program did to the text ....I requested REFUND and cancellation. They don't answer what you ask them or solve the problem you are facing ....They bombard you with new activation codes and sales or come with the instructions you didn't ask for. I have asked for the refund since day one ...they never answer that question. In their policy they write that you can cancel and get refund within 7 days and they respond within 48 hours. I have left 4 tickets within 10 days since i bought the product and they haven't open any of them . A person calling himself Shayne asked me to write directly to him/her ....but NEVER reply what I ask which if a REFUND. Stay AWAY I will update .

I don' recommend this company to any one. I have been a user for this company for many years. I have a life time license . They cancelled my licence after the new year. They ignored my emails. The telephone does not work. All I had was automatic reply and tickets. At last, after three weeks of sending emails , I had an email from the tech support that informed me that my licence is expired. That was not absolutely true, because I have the billing email that gave me the licence for life time after I paid the whole amount of the price. They got my money, so why do they care ? Please don't buy from this company.

Poor customer service. I have been using Whitesmoke software for 3 years, and had no problem with the software and previous issues. However, the customer support is poor, and they are taking a long time to reply my emails.

READ THE TERMS UNDER GOVERNING LAWS before you purchase!!!!!
With very good reason my employer will not allow me to download software for the following reason.
1). One very glaring issue in the Terms under Governing Laws, stating “the Terms are governed and interpreted pursuant to the laws of the State of Israel”.
2). Also, in the EULA, section 1.6, it states “In the course of using the Software or the Service, text you create (which may include personal or sensitive information) is forwarded to Licensor for analysis.”
There are probably many other unacceptable sections in those documents but the above for mentioned was enough for my employer to say not acceptable terms.
Just wish I would have checked before purchasing a year subscription for $138...of course I called within hours of purchase to request refund with no success.
