I have been ignored for weeks and no reply to promo code not applying to all items at checkout. Clothes are bad quality, shoes are huge and unwearable - they reduce price a day after I buy - so much so that if I had waited I would have save more than $50 but they won't reply to that email either asking to honor the cyber week prices

I recently voted on their jack pot deal. Which is something where if you vote on 3 of the outfits that become high sellers you win a gift card if multiple people vote and win then the giftcard (jackpot) is split up among the people who won. 4-5 of the things I voted on were among winners and for some reason they stated that there were no winners so I sent an email inquiring about it in the morning 5 hours later I check again and they gave the prize away to 2 other people and I was not listed although I voted on 4-5 styles that were among the Top sellers. I was ignored and I feel like my prize was just given away. Don't bother with any deals of jack pot voting because its always inaccurate, never honored and if you send an email you will be ignored.

I am absolutely disgusted at the customer service at Wet Seal. I have been shopping at the store for up to 12 years but only did so once in a blue moon because I always found the quality of their clothes to be complete *** however certain times are acceptable (socks, hair accessories and even some shoes considering they carry some known shoe brands that I am familiar with).
Well my days shopping here are completely over. The shoes not only looked much cheaper and poorly made than they did online but were also about two sizes to large. They were marked an 8 (I am always a true 8) and the shoes were said to be "true to size" on the website (I always make sure to check these things first). I received the shoes and tried them on and they might as well have been a 9.5 or 10.
I am quite familiar with the brand of the shoe because we carried it at the boutique I worked at for many years. I was always an 8 in this brand and never had any issues at all, particularly with sizing. This pair of shoes was obviously defective (maybe why they were on sale I don't know and of course no one over there will admit) and they gave me beyond a difficult time with returning the item. First, they wanted me to pay $12 for shipping to send the product back even though it was THEIR mistake.
I refused and they ended up surprisingly covering the shipping. I went out of my way to package up the shoes and ship them out. This whole process took about a month because of the quality of the customer service/going back and forth in email. Weeks are going by and I am hearing nothing of the return.
Finally I reach out to THEM and they tell me that they will not be refunding after all of this because of the "condition" of the shoe. First of all, had I not reached out they probably never would have gotten back to me based on their reliability through email from the start. They claimed that the soles of the shoes appeared to be slightly worn and that the shoe had a "foreign odor." I am reading their email to me laughing at all the trouble I went through and the nerve that they have to say I wore shoes that I did not. I was honest with them and told them about trying them on around the house and even leaving them outside to get rid of the funky smell I noticed when I unpackaged them.
The shoe was ONLY tried on in my own home as I walked around the house trying to see if I could get away with wearing/keeping them. I could not because they were overly large. When they arrived, they also smelled a little funky but nothing that disgusted me and from prior experience I have experienced this before with Wet Seal and even some other random companies and figured it would be due to packaging, traveling, many things. I wash the clothing and go on with my life.
In this case, I left the shoes outside on a beautiful day for a few hours to air them out and it seemed to help. AGAIN, I am trying to "better" the defective shoes that THEY sold me. I was extremely patient throughout all the waiting despite how annoying it was. It was only 25$ pair of shoes however, it is the principle of it all that truly urks me.
Whoever I was speaking to actually continued to argue with me and ignoring the fact that the shoes were defective. She even eventually got rude because I was not backing down and was so appalled that a huge company would be making such a big deal over refunding at $25 dollar pair of shoes that shouldn't have even be sold in the first place. I will no longer be shopping at Wet Seal and have not heard a decent thing about the company in quite some time. I should have trusted that and not even bothered giving them business but as I said, I had been shopping there once in a while for years and the shoes were a cute bargain.
I will be spreading the word to others although I don't know many people who still shop there. I predict that the company will fall sooner than later.

Extremely unsatisfied and will NOT be shopping @wetseal Emails they send out are misleading and they do not put customers first. i added items to my cart on their website choose not to check out because I was still debating on the purchase. Got an email saying that if I checked out they would discount an additional 30% off... remember the word "additional". i did check out and it was not applied. I chatted with someone on their page since their "contact us" link does NOT work! and no resolution, they even said the offer had ended at 7:59 am when i didn't even get the email till 8:30 am the employee was going back and forth with me debating the fact, I had to send her a screenshot of the email! then shes like oh it because you already had a discount and you can only use one at a time. so the why did your email say "Use the code BuyNow30 and get 30% additional discount for completing your purchase now" I ended up canceling my order and they never apologized for the confusion/misleading email.. SMH

Placed an order and was missing an item. They no longer have a phone number so all communication is via email. Was told that there was nothing they could do, that the "warehouse" said the order was sent out fine. When I asked for the warehouse proof... I was met with "go to the post office"... sent several emails following hoping to speak with a supervisor. No luck. No answer. Dont order online. Pretty much lost $20 -_-

I ordered on Cyber Monday. Got a confirmation e-mail of my order, they took the money out of my account 2 days after the order. 5 days after my order: no tracking information. E-mailed them to ask about it and how LONG processing would take, they simply answered "your order is still being processed." YES. I know that, I asked you HOW LONG WOULD IT TAKE? Wait another week, still nothing. I asked AGAIN how long processing would take, they gave me the same ridiculous answer. (Convinced they only answer with bots/automatic responses. They don't use actual people.)
To make things better, that same week I went on their website and they automatically made me reset my password. Once I did that, my order was DELETED from their website. I e-mailed them to ask why they scammed me out of my money and they said "our website is going under construction but your order is still being processed." Almost 2 weeks after I ordered and it's still being processed? Complete B.S.!!
Finally, I e-mailed them yesterday (12/10/18) and told them that if I didn't receive my package by this week I wanted a full refund. They gave me the B.S. excuse that they were packed with orders and experiencing delays and that my order was STILL BEING PROCESSED but then they proceeded to FINALLY give me a tracking number? Well, that's the way I found out that they have NO IDEA WHAT THEY'RE DOING. Of course, the day they FINALLY give me my tracking information, my package arrived. Smh. Although I'm happy I actually received what I ordered and nothing was missing, I've never been so disappointed in a website. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME. Although I did get all of my items they're COMPLETELY SHADY!!!!

I used to order from wet seal before they closed I was so excitex when I got email that they where back in business so I went online and place an order was so excited waiting for my items cuz I always loved what I got from there but this time it was such a disappointment the material was so cheap and see trough I tried to go online and post my review but it don't give you the option wonder why. I'm glad the items I got where on sale I would of been super pissed if I had payed full price seriously I think I would of gotten better quality at Wal-Mart.

I'll try to be short and to the point by leaving out a few details that, if I mentioned, would make the situation even more shady but for the sake of time..
Tried to make an order around early December, was told I needed to have them on the phone line with my bank where I'd give them permission to have full access to my information because my order total was "large" ($200-300???) so they had to put it on a "hold" (although the order was immediately placed as a normal debit charge and all of this reeked of made up bull$#*!). Called my bank with them to verify that it was me and when asked to go further and allow her access to my account I refused. I've never had any business (if you can call them that) so 'concerned' with fraud they'd themselves give permission to their young, brain dead employees to potentially do exactly what they are "trying to prevent". Fast forward to now, conveniently a few days away from valentine's day (around a holiday time when most fraud occurs so they'd have some sort of cloak) I have a random charge of 320 dollars from jcpenny and money gram transactions that reads $0 but I'm guessing this was some sort of attempt on their part. I can say with complete certainty that after my dealings with wetseal, my information was in no situation where it could be compromised and prior to it I've never had any issue with fraud for YEARS. I should have known to cancel out my card but giving these scumbags the benefit of a doubt I foolishly didn't. To add to this: wetseal is going out of business. That explains the $#*!ty customer service and fraud everyone is reporting. I'm taking action and getting a many names as I can and I suggest you do the same or stay FAR away from these losers

So I placed a order on the weekend some how it was made as I won't it at 5-7 busniess day at 6.95 but I selected 2 day service at the 5 dollar rate so I can have it in time for Christmas but some how it got messed up so ok let me call customers service no there not open on the weekend ok I call first thing in the morning on Monday well I get told there nothing they can do it already at the distribution center and I might have push the 5-7 day button so it my fault and merry Christmas and hung up on me. I won't be ordering from them no more beware.

I was at the store, and I assume the cashier thought because I am a teen and with friends that's she doesn't have to treat me like a valuable customer or anything because when I walked up to the counter and was sitting their eating with her coworker and slowly glanced at me and said "oh..did you want to buy something" and I answered with "yeah" then she looked at her coworker, said "one minute" and finished eating her donut or whatever it was. Then she proceeded to slowly walk over and start helping me. When it came time to pay, she told me to swipe my card and I did but it didn't work at first so she told me to keep swiping until the beep, which wasn't a problem, I understand the system isn't perfect. Then when I went to type in my pin, I typed it in correctly and it didn't go through for some odd reason, so I tried again but this time triple checking I didn't mess up my pin, but it didn't work again. Then the cashier leaned over and said "you must be doing something wrong. Do it again, I'll help this time." So I did everything she told me even though what she told me was exactly what I did before, then when it didn't work she said that I must have forgotten my pin and that if I don't remember it won't be able to get the dress I was buying. So I tried again, and at this point I was about to just give up, my card worked in the previous store so I know it wasn't my fault and she was blaming all the problems on me. So I tried one more time and I said if it didn't work I'm leaving, and so I typed in the exact same pin I typed all 4 other times and did everything the exact same...and it worked. Oh and in the middle of all this she said that she could charge it as credit instead of debit but I told her that my bank account doesn't accept credit the way it is set up because I am under 18, and she was telling me how that's not true and if it was true then why would her system show the option of credit, then when I said I'm not doing credit, she rolled her eyes and said okay whatever. And instead of dropping the problem the cashier then said "well I guess you finally remembered the pin but you obviously don't know how to use that card". I have never been so judged and annoyed and upset from a store experience like I was that day. I can surely say I will never shop at wet seal again and it was an experience that ruined my whole day and embarrassed me by having to put up with such rudeness in public.

Usually the clothes I order from Wetseal aren't of good quality, but I recently ordered some dresses last week Thursday and my mouth dropped when i felt the material. Very sturdy and durable and all of the items I got were under 20 dollars. Idk if this is a one time thing, but good job Wetseal (this time lol)

Completely dissatisfied. When I placed my order I was delighted that they automatically gave me a $50 credit on my order. I figured it was a first-time customer credit like many companies offer. Several days later, I received a cancellation notice, claiming that the items I had ordered were out of stock, despite being clearly available for purchase on their website at the time I received the cancellation notice via email. The subject line was worded "Oops, Our Bad," appropriate lingo for a pre-teen but quite unprofessional for a legtimate business. Wet seal cancelled my order, then retroactively changed the wording of their policy to allow them do so, falsely dating the effective date the month before. It had previously stated that once an order was placed it could not be canceled. Then they sent me a cancellation notice on someone's else's order, AND sent an email with my order info to a different customer. Al of the above seems very shady and underhanded, and not just a mistake. Customer service and IT dropped majorly dropped the ball, and I will not be recommending Wet Seal brand or any associated holdings to anyone in my sphere of influence.

I placed an order on the 23rd. It still has not been shipped out yet and it's October 3rd now. What a joke. If you match your billing and shipping address (I live in a different state than my billing address) they'll put your order on hold. If they're different, they'll put your order on hold. Unsypmathetic and unhelpful. Over 0/5 stars.

I placed an order in the beginning of October and paid extra for two day shipping, my order still has not been shipped! It's been a little over a week, going on week two since I placed that order and customer service is terrible, they'll get to you when they get to you *Rolls eyes* its really disappointing the clothes look cute and affordable and I was willing to get out of my confort zone and try a new store and I thought I was being smart and practical with paying the extra 15$ for shipping because I needed the outfit for a special event I was beyond excited, but it all back fired. Looks like I'm gonna need to spend a little more $ for the event @ a more reliable site- Here's a tip save the money, don't bother with Wet Seal and go to Forever 21 instead (Or any OTHER RELIABLE SITE!); faster mailing, great customer service, better quality clothes. Wish I never took a chance on Wet Seal. Sooooo disappointed :,/

If you want your clothes here fast they are THE WORST it took 10 days just to ship and its been 8 days and I'm still waiting for my clothes to come and worse, because they took so long to ship I didn't get three of the tops I ordered because they were out of stock.

They were having a sale, it was buy 2 get 3 free, and the sign clearly stated "buy 2 get 3 free ALL CLERANCE ITEMS" which seemed like a really great deal seeing as how I was on a budget. As the woman was ringing up my items, she said that the clothing items with the orange sticker weren't on sale. HOWEVER, there was a whole rack of orange sticker items and it had the sale sign on it. The woman was really rude to me and did not help me at all and I literally spent an hour and a half trying to find cute clothes that were on sale. It was just super messed up and really terrible service. I will not be going back.

I ordered a package a week and a half ago and still have never received it. They give you the option to check out as a guest so I chose that instead of going through the hassle of making an account since I rarely shop online, but I never received a tracking order number email and better yet, they took the money out of my account as well so now I lost out on $40 and can't even fight it since I never received a tracking number. I am beyond pissed. I will never buy from wet seal again!

I ordered shoes online in which they promised shipping would only take 5-7 days for standard. But it's been 2 weeks going on 3, and I still haven't gotten my order.!When you ask customer service they don't help you very much and basically tells you to just suck it up and wait. Horrible shipment! This needs to be fixed ASAP.

For cyber Monday wet seal online had 40% off the whole site, awesome right? Placed a large order, and because my shipping and billing address are different (because i just moved) my order was placed on a hold. Called wet seal and the girl said she had to be on the line while I called my bank to verify I placed the order, I told her that I shop online all the time and I've never had this problem... Calling my bank while the girl was on the line, the bank wanted my information as usual to verify who I was. I told her that I didn't feel comfortable giving her the information (part of my social and other information that someone could use to gain access to my accounts) because a 3rd party was on the line. So on both ends we weren't able to verify anything, for wet seal or my bank. Even the girl from the bank though it was unusually for wet seal to be doing this, she said there was no reason to involve the customer and that if there is a problem wet seal should call the bank directly. The girl from wet seal basically said there was no way to verify I placed the order since I wouldn't give out my info and my order would not be processed. So I told her to just cancel my order. I will not be receiving my order and I missed out on all the other cyber Monday deals... great. I NEVER leave bad reviews, but the HORRIBLE service I just received deserves a bad review. I wish I could give 0 stars.

Very unhelpful and rude. Wet Seal could care less about customers, and they have no compassion for customers. I was so stressed when they told me because my items didn't deliver, there was nothing they could do. They told me it wasn't worth it to call their warehouse for my returned items. In short I ended up going to two post offices, making a claim, and the post office was happy to go through packages to find my "undeliverable one". Yet Wet Seal wasn't even willing to call their warehouse. Wet Seal was nice in store, been shopping for over 15 years, but they are non helpful now, and not too friendly or professional. When I call them they act like I'm bothering them. I hope the word gets out about how they really are. Their computer had a glitch and all they said to me was, " nothing we can do if you missed the promotion". Yeah, but don't they work there? I can't with Wet Seal as it has turned into a Dry Animal. I'm done online shopping with them!

I can find quality items for cheap prices but customer service is terrible. You can't exchange online...so if they dont have the same item in the store, you're screwed. I really liked a bodysuit and bought it online (it ended up being too small)...couldn't find it at the store and i cant do an online exchange SO i paid $6-7 shipped twice because they cant figure out a bettter way to service their customers. ALSO when i went to return this bodysuit for store credit (Freehold, NJ location) so i can re-purchase the one on the line...The girl on the floor asked me if I needed help and I said I had a return and she said okay and walked away. When her manager asked if she could help me because she was busy ringing someone else up, she said "sure but its just a return". I'm sorry I'm not helping meet your sales goal but I deserve just as much service as someone else or I won't come back to spend more money. Simple enough. I wish that was all, but then she interrogated me, "May I asked why you're returning this" with an attitude. I just don't understand this type of customer service. I did nothing to deserve being ignored and given an attitude

The first order I made they cancelled with one email that went to my spam folder. I tried to re-order and after 4 or 5 attempts to finally pay, I tried to use paypal. My mistake as apparently paypal returns give you store credit not refunds to your card.
My order finally arrived and most of the clothes feel terrible on my body. I knew they'd be cheap, but I didn't think they'd feel this cheap. It's a shame because they're very cute.
I will be attempting to return the clothes. As it is not free returns, I will be paying a significant amount of money to return the poorly made clothes.
I will not be ordering from here again (except to use the store credit I have)

I was shopping at the Wet Seal in the Holyoke Mall the other day, 5/9/16, and was greated by someone the minute I walked in. Was asking me how my day was, what I was shopping for, and it was really nothing, and let me browse the store. Two people were working, and I would assume the one on the floor was the manager., and an older lady with dark hair was assisting another customer at the register. She came up to me after letting me look around and helped me put together 3 outfits for a trip that I was taking. Highly recommend my friends go there and shop! Will visit this store again, the staff was very friendly, and the store was nice and clean. When I left I asked for the managers name as she was very helpful, even after having to deal with a very RUDE customer, she was more then happy to help me with my outfits!

I ordered 4 items from wetseal online. I later found out that they charged me for 5 even though I only received 4 items. It took about 3 weeks for delivery even though the website said 7-10 days. The items were just thrown into a box and shipped to me, and only one item was actually packaged in a little plastic bag like how all other stores ship their items. All the clothes I ordered were terrible quality. I bought a cold shoulder top and one of the shoulder holes was larger than the other. I also ordered a pink cardigan, and when I took it out of the box it was knotted and twisted and there was a huge black oil stain on the side of it. The receipt that came with my order was crumbled up and as I read it said that the price for each of my items was $1.00 even though I had paid over $50.00 total. So when I tried to return everything in the store the associate said she could only give me $5.00 because that's what the receipt said which infuriated me because I had paid over $50 for crap clothing and now wetseal wasn't even going to give me my money back. I had to search through my emails to prove that I actually bought my items because the receipt they gave me wasnt acceptable. In the end they only gave me store credit which is worthless to me now since their items are horribly made and cheap. Wetseal is a scam and a horrible store. I'm never shopping there again.

Wetseal associates are SO RUDE! I walked in two hours before closing time & nobody greeted me or told me about the sale. Two minutes later a Caucasian lady & her daughter walks in, gets greeted at the spot. Right after a spanish family walks in right after & the associate walks away. I walked back & forth lost, looking for a top I saw online & nobody stopped to ask if I was doing ok. I held onto all this walking all around the store & nobody asked if I needed a room started. The associate & manager walked passed me multiple times. I had to go set my stuff down (20+ items)on the bench near the fitting room & come back out to look. The associate then asked not me, but a Caucasian girl if she wanted a room started & she had 3 items! I had to go up to her & directly ASK for a room. How very rude. I know they only allow 6 items at a time, I asked the associate who I asked for a room from if I should hang the rest on the door; she said it's ok I can bring it in & she'll come check on me. I thought 'oh how very nice she's letting me bring it all in' she DIDN'T CHECK ON ME ONCE. I'm not even joking, EVRERYTIME I go there I swear they look at me like I'm going to steal. I was trying to put outfits together for my trip to vegas, a little help wouldn't kill ya. How do these people hold their jobs like this? Rude much?! You bet I'm launching a complaint!
