Worst customer service I've ever tried to deal with. CC rewards program is a JOKE, never send out awards and NO Help attempting to call. Go anywhere else for your CC needs

One year of banking with Wellsfargo. Very happy[y about the service received. Obviously, its a tranditional bank, dont expect the same options than a digital bank. Overall, awesome

I am happy to review this bank ... it is where I have done my banking for more years than I like to count. At one time it was a local bank known as VNB ... then Wacovia ... now Wells Fargo.
It used to have that hometown / small town appeal and ease of doing business ... I knew the managers and the staff; they were so helpful and personable.During its years as Wachovia it was okay, too. Now as Wells Fargo, it is a corporate nightmare full of red tape and bureaucratic BS ... they require IDs for even making a deposit or ascertaining my current balance. The workers are snippy, smug and impersonal.
I have left there many a day with a terrible headache.
I stay because I do not want the hassle of changing banks or the associated potential failures.
It is just so awful ... I have no words.
Two stars ... because I do not wish to tempt fate.
Wells Fargo, you are no better than a "special needs" piggy bank ....

I honestly like banking at Wells Fargo. I usually don't go to any bank branches and do most of my business with them online so this review is going to be mostly about my experience with their website.
Their website is very modern, very aesthetically pleasing, clean and easy-to-use. They do a good job of showing you your banking information and it is very professional. Login is a little tricky but it's nothing out of the ordinary.
What I don't like about Wells Fargo is that you have to pay 12 dollars a month to keep your account active, but I heard you have to do that at every bank.
Honestly Wells Fargo is my kind of bank and I don't see the need to take my business elsewhere cos they do the job well.

Do not finance your home through these scam artist. they tell you to refinance but not make any payments because it will be incorporated in to the refinance. Then 3 months later they attempt to foreclose on your home. If you get through that and arrange a repayment plan because of late payments plus interest that were caused by them. They than sell your mortgage to one of their underling affiliates who attempt to do the same thing all over. They are very crooked and claim they have no records of ant incidents or you can not get a hold of anyone who can help fix the problem. There are no government agencies who help. We had to go to are state senator who was able to provide some help but WELLS FARGO is such a huge corporation they laugh at the fines and just ignore any complaints

Hate this company so much right now. Words can't even begin to describe. I tried for 7 months to open a business account with them and it never happened for numerous reasons. I will try very shortly to move away from this bank. They have wasted so much of my time it's insane.

If I could give you a 0 I would. I worked NEVER recommend this bank to anyone not even my worse enemy. I have a checking account and I signed up my daughter for a savings account. Worst mistake of my life. I have money that I need to pay my rent that my husband went to deposit into my bank account. Which he is told he can't deposit into my account with out jumping through hoops. Are you kidding me? It's a deposit not a withdrawal. Every time,
I had to jump through hoops just to get an account set up which I should of just known right then and there it was a bad idea. Once everything is done and cleared I'm done.

I have a third party credit card from a major retailer set up and managed by Wells Fargo. You go to Wells Fargo's website to set up your online account to "manage" your credit card account. Yet their site does not allow consumers to set up automatic payments for their third party Wells Fargo credit cards. There is no way to insure automatic payment of my credit card by the payment due date. Payment must be made manually. Speaking to several Wells Fargo customer service reps about this issue made no difference. There is no way to do it.

Be Really Cautious of Their Bonus Offer for New Accounting Opening
For those of you who are interested in their promotional bonus offer for new account openings, especially the $400 bonus one, there are a few things you REALLY need to keep in mind:
1. Never ever open an account online if you want to receive a bonus. Online account opening is easy, but it may also be a "trap" for the bank not depositing you the bonus. You need a BONUS CODE during account opening. This code will not show up if you open online even though the ad says it will be automatically applied, but the bank would not acknowledge this. I opened the account through their ads online, it clearly said that their "bonus code will be automatically applied". However, I fulfilled all the requirements and waited for two months, they said they did not have my BONUS CODE. Are you kidding me? I went to their branches several times and presented the online promo page to them, they still could not figure things out for me. This made me feel like I was fooled by Wells Fargo and their promotional emails! $400 is not a big deal, but nobody likes the feeling of being fooled by others and doesn't know what's going on!
2. Make sure you read all the terms and conditions, including the vast majority terms underneath their ads with much smaller characters. This is a common trick that most companies do. If you do not understand any of these terms or you do not know how to do, just don't proceed. You do not want to waste your time and end up getting nothing!
3.Make sure you have all the evidence with you when opening your account. They do not have the incentive to pay you any amount. You should do your job if some things happen!
In General, all so-called promotional offers are tactic tricks. Be really cautious of those things and stay away from them if you do not 100% know them!

Wells Fargo sent me a letter stating they would be closing my account of 10+ years and moving the funds to a different type of account. I called the bank to find out more. They informed me the new account would be a better fit for my needs. I asked if they were discontinuing my old type of account and if they were closing all accounts of that type. They told me they were not, just ones they had identified as being better served by this new type of account.
I told them I did not wish this change. They told me they would be doing it anyway. Despite my wishes. I don't see how they can legally open a new account in my name against my wishes. The did so anyway.

Became a credit card customer in June 2019. Have never had to jump through so many hoops to get answers about hidden fees. I've never reviewed a company like this before but felt compelled to let others know what they could be getting into. With so many alternatives available (Bank of America has been 100% better with a different card), I don't understand why anyone would work with Wells.

I have them for a mortgage company since 2012
I had one late payment in that entire time because I was traveling with limited international service and the payment didn’t make it until after feb 1st
It DESTROYED my credit from 750 to 600 and I was unable to get a equity loan
And I was dropped from my own personal banks credit line because of this. They refused after numerous letters begging them to remove the late payment.
Also when I could redo/home equity loan they tried to charge a rate of 5.9% when I’m already at 4% ... and 9k in closing costs..... I mean REALLY?
And when my dad passed away they we beyond rude to me. My dad banked there. So I’m glad I have moved to a different lender... I HATE THEM
ONE LATE PAYMENT THRU NO FAULT OF MY OWN SHOULD NOT DESTROY UR CREDIT OR UR LIFE...

I have had Wells Fargo for years. I have never had to change my password or anything, I got an email saying I had to change my password. So I did and ever since it will jot let me login no matter how many times I call. They say bs excuses, won't tell me how much is in my account, AND CANCELLED MY CARD. So I am in a foreign country with no access to my card, my online account, or literally anything. FriCK WELLSFARGO is all I can say.

If I could give them a zero I would. This is the worst Wells Fargo in North Dallas, and if it wasn't convenient, I would be long gone. But let me tell u about today. So I go in today to get a withdrawal for my went and they tell me there is a policy, which they couldn't present for me about no transition prescription eyeglass in the building, so I'm lost cause these are glasses for me to read, write, and see where the hell I'm going and its 106° outside so they change it's the job they are designed to do so forgive me. But the 2 gentleman before wasnt asked to take they glasses off so now I'm mad that they racially profiled me, so they was not gonna serve me until identification and my glasses was off. Spoke to Claudia and William. Not a satisfied customer at all. Hopefully when. I move I can bank with a better caring and understanding bank who cares about your needs not what time of eye prescription u have...

Student loans at 12%!
While getting my masters on deferment they charged me ~$500 and said it was a mistake on their part but if I don't pay it then it would negatively affect my credit. If this treatment is not illegal it certainly inst ethical.

It was not always bad, but after three years im deciding to close my account here and move it to BOA.
A banker is expected to know the policies of the bank. Unfortunately not all of them are like that. For some issues, you have to talk with several people and repeat the exact same things all over maybe someone helps you!! Not a professional customer service!
Wells fargo closed the main branches in the city that I live near. They say they are going to remodel and enlarge the only remaining branch. But they did not do that prior to closing the other branches close to 2 years ago. I have not been to the branch that ihave had to wait in excessive lines.
Their response is that i can go to one of tje nearby county branches instead. Typical of the now very large bank. Dont care for their customers.

Absolutely horrible service. I was basically told that there mistake was MY problem to fix. A 1,300$ mistake that they made is now my problem. Well I will take my money elsewhere and I will convince everyone I know that uses this bank to close their account. Absolutely horrible bank. Can’t believe they would treat their customers like this. Shame on you Wells Fargo!!!!! Do not use this bank!!!

I had a credit card with them for a couple of years and paid off my balance early without having to worry about interest rates then they told me that they owed me money then months later hit my credit for the money that they gave me because they made a "mistake".

Customer NO service.. Not my bank.. Thank God. I pay rent to Landlord who banks eith them. I went inside to get cash advance on a credit card and noticed that the " associates" in the looooong line only chose a few people to help, favor, and ignored EVERYONE else. Thirty minutes later.. Still in line.. No one has offered to help speed up the process. They are standing around as fixtures.

Wells Fargo is the worst bank for businesses! I run a business I need to be in and out of the bank. I should always be first priority, I am guaranteed business. Let alone I have to Get back to work and open for the day! The staff has always been friendly and a professional manner. However that can only go so far!
