Simply the worst domain management I have ever encountered! I run a small web design and hosting business with 150+ domains. A new client has just come to me saying his website and emails have all stopped (the domain is registered with Weebly) and Weebly won't allow the service to be extended. No explanation - you go through the whole payment process and then 'this service can't be extended'. He missed the domain update by 3 days and has been blocked ever since. With my extensive experience I thought he must be missing something simple but no, he is correct - Weebly has closed his service and blocked him from updating. In the main control panel it says "account suspended - click here to update payment details". So you go through the process and it blocks you again. Unbelievable - this hard working guy has had his entire business stopped by these clowns. There is nothing wrong with his payment method (Paypal) - it is up to date and operational. Adding a new card doesn't work and neither does trying to register the domain as new. Genuinely the worst I have encountered. *Update* 25 hours after raising a ticket, heard nothing back except the auto-response. Sums them up.

What a horrible company! After having my website with them through years (and never getting one lead I might add), I receive an email letting me know my site is expiring in 2 weeks and is set for automatic renewal. I responded to give them a head's up that I wouldn't renew this year as I'm a Realtor and they don't offer a connection to the MLS that most realtors have and is probably the reason I don't ever get contacted.
The customer service person (who wouldn't give their name) immediately shut down my site that I'd paid for prior to my expiration date weeks away. When I tried to contact them back, they kept sending info to contact a number of other places to get help. Nobody responded.
DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME or MONEY WITH THIS COMPANY!!!

These people spam your machine. They are difficult to get rid of and initiate popups that are persistent. The worst kind of annoying junk.

Dreadful Customer Service & Experience
If looking for a website builder - DON'T choose Weebly - it is a very clunk-click way of building and there is NO CUSTOMER SUPPORT.
Service is so important today to speed up processes but Weebly slows everything down.

Weebly customer service was a dog chasing it's tail. The never answered my question directly and when I cancelled both my subscribsions they are still charging me. I have a 12 websites, only weebly sends me fraudulent bills. Their live chat is a live waste of time.

I was perfectly happy with the price I was paying for Weebly and with the features I had. They have notified me that next year my price is doubling because they are adding a $30/mo fee for a bunch of new features that customers have said they wanted. Rather than giving me the option, they've just told me this is how it is. Even though I don't want or need those features. I have complained and all I got was "you can go to another host". Sure, if I want to rebuild the websites from scratch. There is no way of transferring the websites I have to my free account either. If I understand correctly, my free account is going to go up in price as well. The agent I spoke to didn't seem to know anything about it.

I have absolutely loved using Weebly to build my websites. Both of my sites are quite different from one another but I have been able to build both beautifully.
Weebly has had all of the apps and creative elements I could possibly need to build my site exactly how I want it.
Their staff is also very knowledgeable and quick to answer questions.

NOt a fan of customer service. She had this attitude and couldn't answer my question: Why can't I access my website when I switch over to the new Dashboard ?? "I mean, I can't see what you are seeing, Mam." What happened to all the niceties I get from other companies with customer support? She was rude and not helpful at all.

Weebly, A Whole Lot of Crap
I've been on Weebly since October of 2014. Today I found out that all the return and unique visitors I've had to my website were pretty much all bots. Really?
I've been paying Weebly a nice little monthly fee for the past several years and now they are telling me that all the people who visited my site were bots. Funny, a lot of these bots came back to my facebook page and told me how much they like, loved, or hated what I wrote there but evidently, they have been lying to me.
So now I have an escaladed complaint that someone is supposed to get back to me on, but I'll believe that when I see it. Oh, the new numbers are coming from Google Analytics. They take a bunch of made up numbers and decide on how many people are actually looking at your site. Again, really?
One of the reasons why my numbers have dropped evidently is because unless someone goes searching for my website online then it is considered a bot. This means if I post the site somewhere else and someone goes to my sight from there then it is considered a bot. That's the way Anthony explained it to me. At least that is how I took it.
Right now, I'm running an experiment. I'm asking all my friends to click on something I posted a little earlier today and once they do, getting them to come back to where I posted it and hit like. I want to see what happens.
My fb page is public so if anyone wants to help this little experiment out please do. Thanks. Thank you.

I once hosted a website with this company. Paid to use their services. They removed my site after I had paid due to their dislike of my content, keeping the remainder of my installment payment. The content did not violate their Terms of Service or any law, they just didn't like it, and the support ticket I retained clearly states this. This was not Weebly's role. If a host's idea of hosting your content is curating it, you're performing a service for them, not the opposite.
Lots of websites do what Weebly does for cheaper or free, and they honor free speech. Go elsewhere.

Used them some years ago for my first site. It was easy and up on the first search page within days.
However, they added in .weebly to the title this year without telling me and won't let me change the domain.
So I created a new website this year which can only be found by typing the full URL and they won't help (it has been fully optimised an tagged). They are always keen to get you off the chat and just say they don't know. They don't even try. Useless service.

Weebly customer service is birdbrained & their services are fraudulent. can't answer questions promptly. They are now charging me for services that I cancelled months ago. I marked my paid subscribsion as cancelled and recieved an email confirming that. I didn't remove the credit card from the page so they are stealing monthly fees like that. The credit card isn't even mine so they're stealing, stealing from the card, stealing from me and stealing my good reputation. They have a lot of other complaints so who can question this?

This company is a scam as they get you to purchase their Weebly App at apple store and majority customers can’t download photos / videos . Their support is none existent and they can’t be bothered improving this app . Apple store should be aware of poor quality Apps and Refuse them permission to able to scam many customers daily . Don’t purchase this Weebly App as their is much cheaper and better.

Buyer beware! Since mid-2018, Weebly has started secretly blocking traffic from many countries in eastern Europe, Asia and Africa, without informing their website owners. When I and others found out about it, they sent a canned email response saying 1) Nothing they can do about it, 2) There is a list of blocked countries, but they aren't sharing it with their customers, 3) No refunds, 4) they are under no obligation to inform their users of this policy.
I lost a month and a half migrating my site and all the back-end coding and media. Now I have to find another hosting service.

I was quoted $9,000 - $20,000 by professional website builders to have all of the functions that I have on my Weebly site for much less. I did have to spend the time setting everything up but it is done the way I want and I can easily make changes as needed. Quite frankly I don't know how it could be better.

This is the second most asinine web platform I have used besides WIX. Who creates a web site that doesn't allow you to UNDO a mistake? I've spent HOURS recreating the same pages because, when you click on one item, a section on another part of the page completely disappears. I was hired to create a website for someone, because web development is not all that I do, and am really embarassed that it's so flawed. Tech support tried to pull up the original, but even though I didn't publish the last version I created with the errors, it doesn't look the same at all. If you're lucky to get ahold of tech support after waiting 15 minutes or more, you finally hear the music stop followed by a click, because the person hung up on you. Chat is frustrating as well. Do yourself a favor - learn Wordpress and figure out how to bypass all the idiosyncrasies that are immersed in Weebly's platform.

Wow, I wish I would have read ratings before signing up for weebly. I've used Squarespace, wix, wordpress and google to make websites. We decided to use weebly for the Square availability. It has been a horrible experience. We requested one simple change back in August. IT is now October and have had no changes. We've contacted them 4 times and they said we would 'receive and email' update...no update. I asked to leave a phone number for them to call but they wouldn't accept it. The customer service team comes across as not caring in the slightest. When you have a website issue (which you know you will....there is always a technical difficulty here and there) you don't want to work with these people. We are switching platforms promptly.

I moved to Weebly from another well known company and was delighted with how easy it is to set up a really Professional looking website for my business. Whenever I have had a 'glitch' their friendly expert operatives sort it out for me. Overall - I am a successful and very happy guy - thanks to Weebly!

Well, the bad reviews astonish me too. I love Weebly, I can put up a website with varied content from start to finish in minutes. It shows high on Google search engines, the tools are intuitive. I agree some of the styles are dated and haven't been refreshed for years, but you have total control of how you want things to appear. Conversely, Wix seems far more difficult to use, very non-intuitive, and kludgy. I can't even get text to line up properly. The interface for Wix is ugly and unwelcoming. Weebly just works, near instantly, and with just one or two glitches that I hope they'll iron out, it just couldn't be simpler. I've designed other web sites through Weebly for people using upgraded services. For me, I've had my Weebly going for years with no issues, and it's been entirely free. So try it - FREE - and evaluate your experience from the doing, and not from the telling. Obviously it's not for everybody but all these low ratings, I can't imagine the problems are Weebly's. Maybe for some users having bad experiences, their computers are old, or maybe their knowledge of working computers and I.T. is sub-par? Weebly gets the job done and the cost is so reasonable for what's offered. I love Weebly and recommend it constantly.

If you're not a professional (or maybe you are), but you want somewhere to upload photos to share, blog, or whatever, Weebly is a great place to start! They have professional looking themes, the tools are easy to use to get a website started, and their support team is very good. I've been using Weebly since 2011 and most likely wouldn't change to any other application anytime soon. Try it, you'll like it!

Plain old nasty. I set up a site I already owned, using their website builder, via my website's control panel.
It's a free option. I then added a few elements of my own. Weebly deleted my own content without asking me AND without even NOTIFYING me, because they want me to do everything through their website builder. Fine but they had no right to delete MY OWN content.
Recently I removed all Weebly pages from my site and re-made the site.
Then I discovered that Weebly had deleted MY OWN WEBPAGES (webpages I had made FROM SCRATCH BY MYSELF), and replaced them with the old Weebly-templated pages that had previously occupied the same URLs on my website.
And you know what? To do this, they actually deleted the replacement pages I had made, and replaced them with the versions they had cached.
They had gone into MY control panel and done that.
I signed up to the forum to complain about this. I think the site detects you're about to do that. When you sign up, they immediately offer you 2 options: buy a site through Weebly or design an existing site via Weebly. No option to go straight to forum to seek help.
I go back to Google and find the forum that way. I then click the Sign In link to sign in with my existing credentials that I had just set up.
I get no result, it genuinely seems like they know you're about to badmouth them on the forum, because you didn't want to set up or edit your site so obviously you must be there to complain, so they don't let you even sign in.
And then guess what? For ALL of the URLs that had EVER been used by Weebly's site builder, their webpages disappeared from my Control Panel. I don't mean the Weebly versions. I mean, MY OWN VERSIONS CREATED FROM SCRATCH.
They had ALL been deleted when l unpublished my site from Weebly.
Luckily l had kept backups. I genuinely FEAR FOR ANYBODY THAT USES WEEBLY.
How to remove Weebly? Unpublishing your site via Weebly's own control panel doesn't work, it just gets your webpages taken down that were at any point edited with Weebly, even if the pages have been completely replaced now with pages you made yourself without Weebly.
The ONLY way to remove Weebly is to go to your hosting provider and tell them to delete it. But beware, once again you will lose all former Weebly pages even if they are no longer done via Weebyl's editor.
GOD HELP YOU IF YOUR HOSTING PROVIDER ACTUALLY IS WEEBLY TOO.

My website reported 5,000 to 8,000-page view per week, however, Weebly decided to start using Google Analytics and it now shows 30 per week. When contacted they claim to never to have shown that level of page visitors to my site. Therefore, my only conclusion is that Weebly reported false and misleading numbers. But they managed to cover their [email protected]@, when you search for past months it is adjusted to the new numbers. When my subscription ends I will terminate my account and move to another company. One that is more honest.
