They preach about wasting water here in southern Nevada, but I really wonder if they do anything about it. I filed a complaint for wasting water, and the water resources office told me it was sent to Reno NV and it would take 6 weeks to get a response as to whether they would do anything about my complaint, well it's been about 5 week's now, no response, and in the meantime, there's been gallons of water wasted, and they act like they don't care, I feel if you're going to put commercials on TV about the problem of water waste, and someone is supposed to file a complaint about water waste, then you should actually do something about it, it doesn't take 6 weeks to make a yes or no answer, there's been a lot of water wasted since I first filed the complaint, and when I call the office here in Las Vegas to get a status check, they tell me they can't do anything until Reno says to go ahead, I'm a Army Veteran, so I'm used to using the chain of command, but there's no one higher to get ahold of, so I have to sit and wait while gallons of water go down the drain. Personally I don't think they're going to do anything about the problem, I think they're going to just sweep it under the rug, and see if I'll shut up about this whole thing. In the meantime, they'll continue to advertise on TV, radio, and signs about water waste and what you can do about it, and how to report it, and then, if you do, they don't do squat about the complaint you've filed, bad stuff.
