i contacted watchmaster to part exchange my watch for a better model ,they were great to deal with, answered the phone replied to mail sent me photos etc etc
i decided to just buy the new watch and keep my old one
the guy on the phone said he could not do the deal on the phone i need to go to the web site and pay there
by the time i logged on and located the watch they had increased the price by almost £300 i called back straight away but they were to busy to talk ( first time this has happened )
so i mailed them and they still have not responded
there are other dealers out there with better codes of practice when spending large amounts of money on the internet you need someone you can trust

I was worried I would be contacted offering me less than the suggested value for my watch but they are a very honourable company and paid out quickly and in-full.
I will certainly use them again.

I bought a watch from Watchmaster, which turned out to be faulty. I returned it for repair - with little to no communication from Watchmaster. They made numerous promises which were not kept, promised a partial refund and a free watch winder - also never received. After about 6 months (and constant chasing) the watch was returned - only to find that the watch was still faulty with the same reported problem. I returned it once again for repair - tat was over 2 months ago, with no communication from Watchmaster. I have now sent over 20 emails politely asking for an update - with ZERO reply from anyone. Is it so difficult to reply to an email and provide some level of customer service and simple communication.
At this point I am a lot of money out of pocket with no watch and no response from Watchmaster.

I was 50 at the beginning of September and wanted a Rolex to mark the occasion. I have been checking on Watchmaster.com all year to find the perfect one and finally got my Rolex at a reasonable price.
The watch is perfect and will always remind me of my 50th Birthday.

If I could leave no stars I would. Ordered a vintage watch for my partner. It broke immediately after putting it on. We returned it to be told that we could not get a refund as we had broken it. We repeatedly explained the watch was not hit, dropped or damaged by us at all and was faulty.
After the company refusing a refund and as good as calling us liars we opened a PayPal case as we paid using this method. PayPal agreed with us that the product was faulty and forced a refund,
The customer service is the worst I have ever come across.

After a lengthy discussion I was made a amazing offer.annitionally being terrified about posting insurance would I be paid in full well the answer is YES
LORCAN put my mind at risk from the start ups picked it up friday it was in berlin Saturday checked over a bank holiday phone call Tues 3 days and mr lorcan asked how I would like my cheque absolute great not only that he gave me a full break down of my watch I was delighted to say it passed with flying coulers no Mark's scuffs unworn unopened and just to hear that and get a break dwn plus a letter to confirm I owned a sea dwella. But overall lorcan Mahoney Your selling a watch your buying hes a very nice gentleman and watchfinder it's that old clique they are the 👌💯 percent it's been a pleasure

Started off with great customer service then once they had my watch it all went down hill, Promised on the phone that the watch should sell within 3 weeks, My Watch Went online and no photos shown for approx 3 weeks I kept having to email and phone and was fobbed off with we are busy and holiday period etc etc, After 6 months I contacted them to ask for my watch back as not even a sniff of a sale and I was told the terms and contains state 365 days or else I would have to pay comssion and refurbishment costs, Refurbishment cost really ? Anyway after 365 days my watch was returned to me not working so I contacted them and was promised a call back to discuss this however nothing so I sent my watch to Breitling to confirm a new battery needed I can tell you now my watch Looked no different to the day I sent it so refurb costs really??? Be very careful and read terms and conditions, I would certainly not use this company again, I have now sold the watch through Watchfinder UK a totally different up front no sneaky terms and conditions and extra costs etc etc PLEASE BE WARNED AND READ T&Cs And be aware of the Refurb costs or buy yourself a micro cloth because that’s all they do.

My experience with watchmaster has gone from bad to worse as time goes on.
I contacted them initially with regard to selling 2 watches, a Tag Heuer and a Milgauss. It started positively, with being offered very competitive prices for both watches on consignment, as I was told there was no option of a direct purchase of the Tag.
Shortly before sending the Tag into them I'd had it inspected by a local watchmaker who'd assured me there was nothing wrong with it with the exception of some wear on the strap - I saw mention of the £300 repair clause and sent it anyway as I knew the strap would fall within that. Upon receipt of the watch, Watchmaster decided it also needed the crystal replacing, so it would exceed the £300 repair costs.
At this time they now made me aware of a direct purchase option that for whatever reason hadn't been available previously ( Or rather they chose to play that card close to their chest until they had the watch) of £1450. It was still competitive so I accepted, and had a contract signed later that day. The next day, they decided that actually the offer was only £1300, despite the signed contract that was sent after their inspection, and blamed it solely on a mistake. They then dealt with me rudely and patronised me over the phone when I challenged it.
I had at this point shipped my Rolex to them, and made the decision to have it sent back so I could deal with the sale myself. At this point, it transpired that it had been 5 days since the Rolex had been shipped and still hadn't arrived with them, so they attempted to start an investigation with UPS. No one could explain to me why it took 5 days for them to start the investigation, when they themselves boast an automatic process that highlights if any watch hasn't arrived within 48 hours (According to a manager I later spoke to). Throughout my multiple points of contact with them, the account handler did her best within the constraints of what they're allowed to do, but ultimately her and all of her colleagues I spoke to came across as rude, standoffish and patronising. This was coupled with an inability to keep any promise made, even something so simple as a call back in an hour.
I was told different things by them and UPS RE the length of the investigation, which admittedly they had no control over, however this sale was time sensitive and there was next to no communication, leading to me being the one having to chase UPS and provide Watchmaster with information they were telling me!
Over 2 full weeks into the investigation I've now queried how much the watch is insured for - I'm told in the first instance that it's insured for the minimum sales price (£7000) over email. After double checking this, they decide that it's actually only the minimum net payout price (£6300)
Yet more lies - Clause 1.4 of their own terms and conditions defines the cover as "an amount corresponding to the minimum sale price assessed in the preliminary appraisal of the watch"!!!!!
Which is it then watchmaster? Are you going to take a 10% cut because of all the hard work you've had to put into the sale of my Rolex?

Sold my Cartier Tank through watchmaster.
Overall I was quite pleased with the service and most importantly I was able to sell my watch at a price that I dont think I could have got elsewhere. Nor did I have the hassle of selling or the risk of ensuring I received payment. I would certainly use again. Marcus Hawksworth was my contact within the company and the lines of communication were always open and again I would be happy to use Marcus, well done guys.

I was nervous about buying such an expensive item online as a high-end watch, let alone a second-hand one. I need not have worried though, because the whole transaction has been conducted in a completely transparent and orderly way, with credible security. The condition of the watch was superb - better even than advertised, as new, as far as I could see. Apart from that, knowledgeable acquaintances have been able to assure me that the item is totally authentic, and the WM guarantee is indeed what it says. It really helps to receive the original box and papers too.
Delivery was a lot later than planned, and I was a bit unsighted on that. Apparently there had been a small delay in carrying out the servicing/refurbishment, and (see above) I completely accept it was worth it. The packaging was exemplary.
I have been able to communicate via both email and telephone with a real live person (Sarah, thanks!), which has made the whole experience so much more pleasant. She even offered a very pleasant little gesture in response to the delivery delay.
I will be happy to shop here again.

at first sceptical as had to send my watch abroad. However Marcus Hawksworth was amazing. Kept in constant touch with me to let me know status and responded to my many emails really quickly.
Watch was sold within a week but it fell through but was re-sold within 24 hours. I would totally recommend this company and indeed Marcus. really trustworthy and professional. Don't use anyone else to buy or sell your watch.

Initially I did read the negative reviews which I normally do when using new companies. Watchmaster was very clear and gave me confidence that as long as what I stated in my quote form was correct, I should have no issues. Process went well, got a very competitive price for my watch. Will definitely use them again in the future.

I was more than a little wary ordering my watch online as for me there was a lot of money at stake !
I needn't have worried though as Sarah O'kane took the reins and put my mind at rest by emailing me at every step and giving very good advice .
The watch arrived on time and looks brand new
I would not hesitate to recommend you use Watchmaster and would definately use them again myself !

Would give 5 stars but I think the commission they take for selling some watches (29%) plus costs for refurb are a bit high.
