Terrible customer service Waitrose blaming the supplier and accusing me of not knowing how bulbs grow !

I was sent a large bouquet of flowers for my birthday in August, I expect they were expensive.
Followed the directions about getting the best from them, they all died within four days and smelt disgusting.

Misleading photography on their website displaying flowers to show more stems than actually delivered and stated in the small print. I was extremely disappointed with the bouquet which I had delivered for my sister and brother in law upon the birth of my baby nephew. The bouquet and accompanying cuddly bear was not cheap, and it looked the complete opposite upon delivery. When trying to contact Waitrose to make a formal complaint, they were extremely dismissive with no customer service skills at all. They promised to call to discuss on several occasions in which they ever held up their end of the bargain. I shall never use Waitrose for flowers again, which is a shame as I had previously used regularly through work so they have lost a loyal customer by not owning up and admitting their product was poor. I shall be returning to Interflora!

Ordered flowers and found the lady at the call centre to be very helpful and proficient. Unlike M&S. Totally stress free experience.
The flowers arrived by 1.30pm on the day requested and were absolutely beautiful! The recipient sent me photos. She was delighted with them.
The Yodel driver was very nice and the tracking they provided was excellent.
I have seen some bad reviews on here but my experience is to the contrary. All those complaining about delivery times need to read the information on the website properly before leaving their reviews!
It seems people only leave a review after a negative experience but more should leave a review when their experience has been positive. I give credit where it's due and will definitely use Waitrose again to send flowers.

Alstroemeria (I think). I received some very pretty flowers for my birthday but they were damaged, a lot of the heads had snapped off, the roses were going brown and the rest were dead 2 days later. After Waitrose were informed, they quite rightly sent another bunch. Another day of waiting in and the flowers (Rose& Freesia, I think) finally arrived. The box looked as if it had been kicked in where it said "Fragile, Fresh Flowers, Handle with care". The flowers are not great, insipid colours. I wouldn't use Waitrose Florist again. Overpriced as well.

I ordered the new Emma bridgewater aster arrangement as I loved the design of the jug they were received today to my dismay the wrong jug had been sent wrong pattern it seems it was a previous patterned jug I was sent.
I emailed Waitrose florist stating what's happened as I was having a waitrose groceries delivery the same day I explained this to the driver and the jug has already gone back to waitrose via the of there delivery drivers.
Just noticed some of the sunflowers in the arrangement are going brown already
Not happy that's why I only give them 2 stars as of writing this review still awaiting a reply

10 days before the delivery date l ordered some flowers for a family friend's 80th birthday. They cost £29 plus £3.95 delivery. How l wish I had used someone else! I kept an eye on the Yodel tracker and by 16.30 they still hadn't been delivered. So, firstly I would consider that is too late for someone's birthday as the day is virtually over. Secondly, half an hour later l could see from the tracker they couldn't gain access to the house. It transpires today they couldn't even find it! Rang Waitrose, they eventually agreed to refund the whole amount, but that isn't the point. My friend didn't get her flowers on her birthday which was extremely disappointing. NEVER AGAIN WOULD I USE WAITROSE FOR FLOWERS.

Sunday Mothers day a large box was delivered from our children living in London with flowers in it .My Wife on opening the box found the flowers were drooping; the leaves torn; heads of flowers bent or knocked off.My Wife being upset I collected and took all that arrived to the Waitrose store 4 miles away in Barry. They sympathised and told me to pick a replacement bunch. By now there was no choice left as it was late afternoon but to accept what was given which did not resemble what our daughter had chosen.
What a memorable Mother's Sunday
Avoid having flowers sent from Waitrose.--

Ordered a selection of Lupins. Delivered safely by excellent carrier with box intact. Surprised to open box only see masses of plastic packaging around plants, presumably to protect although not environmentally friendly and quite unnecessary. However (through no fault of the carrier) whoever packed the plants had slammed close the plastic packaging and decapitated the flower heads. Additionally, I believe the specimens to be of generally poor quality. I certainly will not make the mistake of ordering from Waitrose again.

Ordered orchids as a gift for a friend. I chose the next day delivery option and paid extra for it. However nothing was delivered the next day. I got in touch with Waitrose who said their suppliers were unreachable and delivery would probably be Tuesday (5 days after chosen delivery date!). Ridiculous as I wouldn’t have known this if I hadn’t contacted them myself, no information from them telling me this on the delivery date. Immediately cancelled my order. Would NOT order from them again.

Gave Waitrose a second chance (more fool me) and told them so which they said they were grateful for. Big fail! Could not believe a second disaster. Money refunded BUT THAT WAS NOT THE POINT! It was important to us that the lady I bought the bouquet got what was advertised. Never again, and I have made that quite clear. I wish I could post photographs on here. I have on Facebook where folk are shocked.

I ordered Waitrose Florist flowers for my Mum on Mother's Day and I'm so disappointed by what she was delivered. They are wilted, dead and utterly miserable looking. Wish I'd thought to check Trust Pilot before ordering, as I see it's a common theme. I expect much more from Waitrose. I DO NOT recommend this florist.

The flowers (?) were bought for me by a friend. I obviously cannot tell her how awful they are. I have never had such an ugly bouquet in my life: it is full of tall, brittle sprigs, leaving their dusty, powdery, allergenic trail everywhere.
There were three white roses, one of them with a broken stem; there were two large, heavy, dark red flowers that I cannot identify (top-heavy and thick-stemmed, causing the vase to fall over, spreading water everywhere, an event which was hardly destined to cheer me greatly). The rest of the 'Rainbow Nation Bouquet' was composed of the tall dusty sprigs described above: heather, perhaps, but unlike any I have seen before. The worst complaint I have is that the sprigs, making up at least nine-tenths of the bouquet, are full of allergens and even when I go now, a day later, into the conservatory, where I have placed the so-called bouquet, the air is so full of the dust from the dead and dying sprigs that I itch all over. My eyes have been particularly badly affected for the past 24 hours and my hands also. I shall have to throw the ugly things away, I fear. They have polluted my house.
If the bouquet had been lovely to look at - and it should have been beautiful with such a name as 'Rainbow Nation' - it would not have been quite so bad but, as I have said, it is the ugliest bouquet I have ever seen in my life. I do not know how you dare sell such a selection. 'Rainbow Nation' applies to South Africa: I think you have chosen a misleading name. If you did not mean South Africa, what did you mean? Rainbow? If so, where are the rainbow colours of red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet? There is a vague touch of purple and white and very dark red but overall the bouquet is dismal. Dull, dull, dull! Perhaps you would like to come to see it?
I do not wish to give you even one star. Were it possible I would give you a minus score.
I have always been of the opinion that Waitrose is overrated and has an undeservedly good reputation. My own experiences of shopping there have never been good: this bouquet is the last straw.

Amazing quaity flowers and reliable delivery.
I don't understand all the bad reviews. The only thing Waitrose did wrong was hiring Yodel to be honest, but at least customer service is reachable. They provide good quality flowers and a specific day when your flowers can be delivered. I ordered a bouquet of white roses ONE day before my wedding and it was finally delivered around 8 pm that day as promised. I was so happy o see the condition of the flowers, which 4 days on and still look as beautiful as the day I got them.
Customer service kept me informed throughout and made me feel valued. I would shop here again. Don't recommend for people who need it by a specified time of day, it clearly says they do not do that people.
Thank you for the gorgeous flowers, will be forever in my heart and the wedding album!

It's important to remember that many people will only usually review when something bad has happened.
I bought some sympathy flowers on waitrose. Purchased Tuesday asked to deliver Thursday.
After doing this I checked the reviews and was a bit nervous, it was important the flowers turned up in good shape!
Thankfully early on Thursday the flowers and vase arrived and they were beautiful and the recipient was very thankful. The price of the flowers was very competitive and cheaper than a lot of the popular leading online florists.
Will use again. Thanks.

Like others, I expected more from Waitrose having paid a premium price for birthday flowers. Looked lovely upon delivery but most died in bud. Complained but was told nothing could be done....no reply to my follow up email at all. As a regular Waitrose customer, the florists must be causing brand damage. Avoid.

I’ve had both a good and bad experience but the customer service was great. I was sent flowers at Xmas and the jug leaked. I called and was advised a new jug would be sent but it didn’t arrive. I called a couple of days ago to say I still hadn’t received it. To my surprise Waitrose sent me a completely new bunch of beautiful flowers, in a vase and a gift of some Green and Black chocolates. Well done Waitrose for the great customer service. Thank you

Absolutely disgraceful company, absymal nasty unhelpful customer services, so patronising, cheap & very nasty products, completely over rated, over inflated & soooooo expensive in comparison to lots of other far better & nicer alternative places where you can purchase from! We will NEVER EVER BUY ANYTHING FROM YOU EVER AGAIN!!! Shockingly bad experience all round!
Will warn others to avoid spending anything with you too!
Shambolic attitude, lousey delivery, outrageous prices for totally substandard non quality!!!

The bouquet itself was fine, but their “named day” delivery (which is the only option available) is for a window up to 9pm, delivered by Yodel. So the anniversary flowers I ordered didn’t arrive until 9:02pm, by which time we’d already gone to dinner. Plus when they did finally arrive, they were squashed. When I complained, the Customer Service rep patronisingly told me that the bruised flowers were in “perfect condition” and wouldn’t replace them. I did get a partial refund, but I definitely will not be using them again.
