Deceptive practices and poor customer service. I have 3 separate issues. First, I was forced to make a purchase or lose expiring credits so I bought 3 movies. I have never watched any of the three and asked Vudu for them to be deleted, but also be provided with an equal credit so that I could buy movies I actually want. This has been done for other customers but I was told no. Second, I was using Vudu's disc-to-digital service and accidentally select SD instead of HD on a movie. Vudu allowed me to delete that movie and receive a credit, but Vudu did not adjust my allotment of D2D titles for the year. When I followed up with customer service, they refused to adjust the allotment, even though I was originally told it would be automatically adjusted. Lastly, I asked for my complaint to be escalated and have heard nothing in 4 days. It's reasons like this people are leaving Vudu for Apple/iTunes and other competitors.

I can stream hd and uhd on amazon, netflix, hbo now, showtime, youtube. But i can't make it 15 min sometimes into my movies before it gives me a network error. I transferred 50 movies to digital from disc and i can't watch any of them because vudu streaming is messed up. They are the only service that i have trouble with. I do not recommend this service for anyone. Internet speed doesn't matter. I have 30 mb download and it still doesn't work. Broken. Don't waste your money.

Customer service is a joke. They don't own their problem. They blame your internet connectivity. I have about 6 or more movies purchased from Vudu that are unplayable. Thanks Vudu. Taking our family's money elsewhere.

Vudu is a fraudulent company!!!! All but 1 movie out of over 2 years of movies i purchased just disappeared!!!!!!! DO NOT BUY ANY MOVIES FROM THIS COMPANY. IF THEY SCAM YOU BY TAKING AWAY MOVIES YOU PURCHASED, CONTACT YOUR STATES ATTORNEY GENERAL AND FILE A REPORT

Vudu sucks! They give you the shortest amount of time to finish watching a movie when you rent it. Not even 24 hours! It’s ridiculous. Don’t waste your money!

My only problem with this app is how haven't you dropped the price of movies or rentals. 17.99 for 25 plus year old movie that is played for free anywhere else. Just saying if you don't want to go bankrupt lower price on movies and shows. If you dobt im pretty sure you lose about half in a month

Vudu has many very basic software problems. First of all, when you click on a free movie to see what it's all about and try to go back, you must restart from the beginning of your movie search. The other issue, is the movies freeze up and kick you out of the movie your are watching. The app says there is an error and you must start all over again. On top of that almost all of the movies are horror movies and very stupid. I wonder how on earth Hollywood can make so many third rate movies and they all end up on Vudu. This is just a horrible movie streaming service.

If you enjoy torture and misery then Vudu is for you! That's the good news. If like me, you would like a reasonably reliable streaming service with a minimum of ads, well prepare to be disappointed. Non-stop ads, flaky service (outages) etc. I'd rather be waterboarded

Vudu use to be awesome when it was owned by Walmart! I have many titles I’ve bought and when Walmart owned Vudu, there was so many great movies and TV shows for absolutely FREE! Now, some other company bought VUDU from Walmart and this new company completely destroyed the free platform. They took away all the free great shows and films. They increased prices slightly on films. It’s went downhill greatly and the customer service is bad. I still buy films and shows off Vudu, but the company that now owns Vudu has hurt the platform. Bring back the great free movies and shows that set Vudu above the rest and people will spend more money in the long run.

"Just a note that VUDU is doing away with any option to manage your payment method, and will require a credit card to watch their free movies and tv. After you put a credit card in you can never remove it nor change it." they really never had a payment method they wanted a credit card and you could never delete it, change it etc. so I used walmart pay were I could manage my payment method. They are doing away with that and when I asked if they were planning on fixing the site they said NO

I purchased a movie through walmart online that qualified for the digital copy. As I awaited the physical copy, I was able to download and watch the digital. When the physical copy arrived, it was severely damaged and unwatchable. I exchanged it after contacting the vendor and then 2 days later received an email from VUDU stating titles have been removed from my account. I contacted them and told them of the situation, sent verifying information showing that I did receive a replacement for the damaged copy and asked that they would reinstate my digital copy of the movie. They claimed that they "escalated it to higher ups" and I should hear something soon. It has been 3 months and I have heard nothing and no movie has been reinstated on my account. I contacted them again and have heard NOTHING. That was 2 weeks ago. I absolutely would not recommend this site to anyone. Even though I have the physical copy of the movie, I would like to have the digital to view when on vacation since it came with my purchase.

Vudu is trying to sell doctor who the peter capaldi years bundle for 79.99 when Amazon has it for 19.99. Ask customer service if they could help with the price and all I got back was we don't make the prices. Guess i won't be buying from vudu anymore. Their customer service sucks as well.

ever since fandango purchased them, they slowly started going to s**t. they just stopped doing the $5 deals as well. that was pretty much the only thing I spent money on anymore. f*** fandango, or whoever it was that bought them from Wal-Mart. and this website is trash too, they don't let you curse.

Very dissatisfied on how they handled my case. It takes them forever to reimburse my money. When you call customer service all they say that it's in the higher up and it was being processed. I'm definitely thinking about switching. I've never seen such a long turn around.

I rented the movie in the afternoon. I watched about half then and continued to watch after dinner. I fell asleep shortly afterward. Next day when I returned from work I tried to watch the second half but was told I would have to pay to see the other half. I will never rent from Hulu again.

I have used Vudu to purchase and store my movies and TV series for many years now. Since 2012 if I remember correctly. I have never had any issue with Vudu. I felt the need to write this review simply because I don't see many positive reviews listed on this site. I have not experienced any of the issues that were negative. My only complaint is this one thing. When you purchase a TV series that is a new season which is being aired over the paramount network in my case. "Yellowstone", after an episode Aires on the network you still can not watch the latest episode until sometime 10 hours later. One example of this is last night at 8:00 p.m. the finale aired. It is now 3:00 a.m. the following day and I still can not watch the episode. I don't know what enables customers to actually see the latest episodes but this process needs some attention. I would love to see the finale that was aired last night but I am still waiting to watch it even though I have paid for this a long time ago. What's up???

After numerous attempts at attempting to reconcile this matter I will escalate this complaint to a Attorney for Citizens with Disabilities. VUDU is used as a storage cloud platform for persons who buy movies and convert the digital copy to a medium that streams the movies purchased into their home. You buy the movie load the digital copy of the enclosed paper and throw it away. In July of 2020 my 30 year old disabled daughter who uses movies as her primary entertainment noticed that over 300 of her movies had been removed without her knowledge or consent. After weeks of emails they ignored me as her guardian and have not replied to any communication. I have sent complaints to the BBB and I attach the supporting documentation.My daughter is devastated over her movies. As a disabled citizen there should be more help for fraudulent companies like VUDU. I have heard Fandango purchased VUDU. They should contact my daughter personally and apologize for all the heartache they have caused her from this action. Some of the movies deleted had been on there since 2013.

I love my vudu service, but about 50% of the time, i don't get a code on the receipt (as the sticker on the front says i will). I then contact vudu customer care... they have me take pictures of the receipt, movie, etc... then they send me an email stating they are closing my case since i didn't reply to an email in 48 hours (which i never got). i also never got the movie added to my collection... what a pain.

I noticed several of my movies disappeared. Contacted support via email and was told someone would reply soon. Over a week later, still no response. Finally I called and was told that my movies were removed retroactively because my receipt email didn't match my Vudu email. Vudu cannot be trusted.

I've used Vudu for several years, but suddenly several of my movies disappeared. Turns out they were removed retroactively because the purchase email didn't match the Vudu account email. Apparently Vudu doesn't realize that some households use more than one email address. Their support is horrible, I emailed and was told they would reply soon. Over a week later I still had not received a response so I finally called and was on hold forever before I finally talked to someone who said they couldn't help me.
