have now been with them for two years and while they had their issues at the beginning, you simply cannot beat the price for the number of features you get. Ooma and Vonage are no comparison. The support gave me an attitude about using my own VOIP phone that they "do not support" but still gave me the necessary settings to allow my unit to be used with their system. You have to know what and how to use the control panel if you want a successful phone system. Plugging it in and walking away isn't the way to approach this service at all.
What’s best about VOIPO?
VOIPO’s service plans are cheaper with greater coverage and its services are designed on a very powerful internet platform. It provides unlimited calling to US/Canada and 60 minutes of international calling to select destinations each month. VOIP allows calls to Puerto Rico but charges are based on international rates.
It has live customer support that helps customers with their queries anytime through phone, email or chat. The usage limit is 5000 minutes a month which is perfectly sufficient for meeting a wide range of needs.

Voipo cancelled my service in the 18th month when I disputed a double billing for an early renewal and had still not received a refund after waiting for it for over 2 months.
They refused to issue a final refund for 6 months of unused service. Their practices are unethical and would never again use them and advise no one to pay the $150 plus tax in advance. If there is a problem, you will never see your money again.

I used VOIPo for more than 4 years. After I solved the static issue caused by FIOS with my filter, the service was acceptable. VOIPo was unable to solve it in those days.
here are providers with comparable or better service and lower prices, such as AxVoice.
At renewals, they refused to offer any alternatives to take-it-or-leave-it pricing.
The customer insults come when you cancel service. They demand the $5 adapter back or they will charge $49.95. After receiving the adapter with all identifying information, they want to know the UPS tracking number. Makes you wonder how many hundreds are received each day.

This is an awful VOIP telecommunication provider. Customer service is horrific at best and the communication service is spotty. There are many issues with this provider and they do no appear to know how to remedy the most essential shortfall. Caller ID is an issue, for example, with incomplete and inadequate listings. STAY AWAY FROM THIS OUTFIT!

I used VOIPO for about 8 months. It started out okay and we even purchased a separate fax line. But, after many issues with phone line not working, unable to call out or receiving calls, dropping calls, we decided to terminate services.
Be careful of the fine print, here is my discussion with online chat:
06:57 Your Question: Refund Check
06:57 Please wait and one of our operators will be with you shortly.
07:00 You are now chatting with VOIPo
07:00 VOIPo: Hello, thank you for contacting VOIPo
07:00 Ralph: Hello, my account was 631-82x-xxxx
07:01 VOIPo: How can I help you today?
07:01 Ralph: I received a refund check for 52.25 and wanted to know how this was calculated?
07:03 VOIPo: Looking at the notes it says, you were billed for 8 months and received a $41 refund. Your Fax account was active 5 months and a
$11.25 refund was due for that.
07:04 Ralph: I paid $185 for the 631-82x-xxxx and $36.00 for the 631-24x-xxxx
07:06 VOIPo: Correct, and after usage, these are the refunds due for both.
07:08 Ralph: okay, if I used the 63182xxxxx for about 8 months (16 months remaining $123.33 refund), plus the 63124xxxxx is used for 5
months (7 months remaining $21.00 refund) Total refund $144.33
07:11 VOIPo: That's not how it's calculated. We calculate based upon the monthly rate, which is $15 + $3 taxes and fees = $18. So $18 x 8 months is
$144 subtracted from $185 (what you paid) = $41 refund.
07:12 Ralph: What is the $15?
07:12 VOIPo: The monthly rate for our service.
07:12 Ralph: but I did not pay that
07:12 VOIPo: We do not calculate based on the two year promo rate.
07:12 Ralph: that's bs!!!
07:13 VOIPo: I'm sorry sir, but I have sufficiently explained the refund process. Was there anything else I can help you with today?
07:13 Ralph: I'm glad I left your company.

buyer beware. Paid in advance..mistake number one. Two, you will receive used equipment which is pure junk. Instructions poorly written for set up, no diagrams or pictures, just two lines basically telling you what to unhook and hook up. Good luck there. Then it worked sporadically for two weeks. I call customer service, on my cell with them for over an hour troubleshooting. No apologies from CSR for MY troubles. Then they state they will esculate it to tier 2 team who will email me. So they act like they are doing me a favor after having no ohone service for a week and said they will send me out a new one as a complimentary courtesy. Really? You pay $149 for something that is used no service and they are sending me a complimentary one! Something wrong with this picture. Now, I have been down a week, but wait...it will take another week to get the replacement...two weeks then without service and I have only had their device for a month. I would recommend others to check out other services such as OOMA. This is a scam if you ask me. You pay in advance, no service ...you do all the work, they send out used junk, your down more than your up. They should expedite the replacement since they sent me used garbage. Pure junk. Wasted $149.

This has been one of the worst experiences of my phone life... I had VOIPO for a very short time.. in fact my phone number never transferred from Comcast. I cancelled the service and tried to get a refund .. but could not.
Two years later... I am billed for a renewal ..now this is the part that is crazy. The7y posted the bill on a credit card that they did not have access to... in other words, the credit card number did not exist when I initially ordered this service. i have escalated this to fraud status with Bank of America.

I was very skeptical when we moved from traditional landlines to one of the original VOIP providers early last decade. We needed the phones to work without disruptions to our business. We were happy with the quality but decided to change carriers after that company raised their prices to be no longer competitive with the traditional landline service we had originally left. We chose Voipo after seeing how much they wanted to build a quality product and make it available at a low price. We have been very happy ever since.

Voipo service has always been excellent and responsive. I was disappointed in no phone coverage when I had a problem on the weekend.I sent an email and my problem got fixed within an hour.
It would have felt better if I knew what was going on.

I love Voipo. I've had them since 2009 and they just continue to get better and better. The service and support are excellent. I've always been able to get a quick resolution to the few problems that I've encountered over the years.

I've been with VOIPo for about 8 years. Prior, I tried all the ones available and did not find one that was reliable.
Tim has built a great company from the ground up.
