Took out a contract for me and my son - 2 sims.
Only one arrived.
Got in touch was told it would definitely arrive the next day and not to use the first sim until then. It never arrived.
Was unable to get in contact for several days. Phone not answered, live chat unavailable.
Eventually managed to get someone on the phone. Spent 40 mins on phone explaining to 2 people (re-doing security questions and re-explaining the problem) who then said as it was now 2 days outside the cooling off period they had to forward me to someone else to reclaim the £10 they had already charged me. Gave up.

I signed up to Vodafone broadband in order to get away from BT after they repeatedly lied and made promises to renew my contact with them, and then didn't follow through on the promises they made.
Vodafone started out well, their online team was very quick to answer my questions and engage with me before I signed my contract with them. However, since signing with them, they have proceeded to ignore my complaints until the problem is resolved so that none of their tests will find anything in order to avoid having to pay compensation, this has happened twice now.
Whereas before they were extremely quick to answer my questions and engage with me, now they're ignoring me for months at a time before getting back in touch, no matte show much I chase up their customer service teams over multiple avenues of contact.
Thus, my advice would be to avoid Vodafone if they're going to treat a new customer this badly, god knows how bad they must be treating existing and loyal customers.
It's been 3 months since I first started the complaint about my broadband issues, with the complaint getting bigger to included their social media teams, customer service team, complaint team, live chat team, and now their directors team. All because they've been unwilling to do a single thing to help.
I've now left the service early and seeking compensation
AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS

i took out a 12 month contract for a sim only data for £15.00 per month in june i was billed £145.00 for going over my data in the month of julyi have no idea how this was possible as we use it very part time as i have 4g on my phone. i contacted voda phone to complain and try to resolve the issue i called at 6.30 pm and told was by an answer machine they would call back, it did then put me on hold for 1hour i was then put through to an operative called Erin who continued to talk over me and patronize me and was not really interested how or why my bill was so much? i was told i can pay it off over 6 months but would have no internet ?????? so as this was not acceptable i asked to cancel the contract as the tone of there staff was very patronizing and demeaning ,in the end i decided to pay the bill by credit card i was also hit with a £120.00 cancellation fee and after spending over 2 hours on the phone was told the cancellation dept
was closed and i would need to call tomorrow to cancel so i am now left with yet another call i need to make to get rid of this totally terrible company trust me there is much better service else where

One star is too much for Vodaphone. I am appalled at the horrid level of scamming this business does. They added on insurance to my account, without my request and won't refund me, telling me I should have checked my bills better. Appalling appalling appalling. The customer service people are nice but they dont actually help as they are powerless. Nick Jeffery get a handle on this scam. I've been a loyal customer for a decade but I am removing my whole family from your nasty business. Will never return to Vodaphone.

When eclipse screwed me over on my FTTC contract I switched to Vodaphone Broadband and have been with them for over a year now.
I chose them primarily because I could have unlimited downloads and a static IP address at no extra cost and despite an initial hiccup [they forgot to allocate the static IP] which was quickly resolved I have had excellent service from them.
I can't imagine all the poor reviews on this site are related to their broadband service because I can't fault them.

Finally left Vodaphone
I have have had a telephone contract with Vodaphone for more 13 years within that time it has been to say the least extremely stressful
Vodaphone s problem is that basically they are a deceitful company , why ?
Happy to tell you bare faced lies to sell a product
Consistently adding charges to your mobile bill that do not apply without fail whether it be data or something else
Ill informed and poorly trained staff with barely there professional boundaries
You will need to ring up constantly about the same issue even though the last three people you spoke to stated it had been dealt with
The final straw was when I fiund out that a third party Footbox tV charges had been applied to my account . Even though there are numerous complaints from customers i on Vodaphone community pages stating that they never subscribed to this service for more than a year before the charges were applied to my account Vodaphone took no action
When I complained I was told it was a privacy issue , that thry could not stop the subscription because of customer privacy
Yes your right what absolute nonsense
Vodaphone then stated I would have to contact an independent regulator to get my money bsck PSA
When I threatened to leave I was informed that I could be award £38 of the £79 stolen from me
However when I looked st my next bill which was September 2019
Vodaphone had accepted £8.00 charges from footbox tv and deducted £8.00 from the £38 they had awarded me resulting in my only getting back £30
I did ring up and express my absolute disgust not holding back and out of the blue the customer service personnel stated because of the inconvenience I had experienced she Would wipe off the £40 remaining on the bill so II would not owe anything
However I was thankful but decided to leave Vodaphone , you see ,I have had experiences of Vodsphones good will gestures before only to be told at. At a later date that the person
Who had carried out this good will gesture had no authority to carry it out and for the good will gesture to be reveresed😎

To describe Vodafone service has bad is putting a gloss on it, the moment any goes slightly wrong the service goes from poor the abysmal. They buy out my internet service provider (Demon/Thus) slowly whittle the service away, first the incluled webspace then th email service, then finally this year they decide terminate the ADSL that provided my homeboard and replace with NOTHING, and to speed things up they would send the letter informing me of this to an address which was incomplete, I had given them the correct address they decided it was wrong and changed it, the resulting address meant that NON delivery was assured. As a result the first I knew that the service was going was when it had gone. Vodafone were unapologetic, claiming I should have acted on the letter I didn't recieve. Since I also had I mobile phone services with vodafone I decided these would be moved to and on the 26th of June I moved to a service provider that gives mobile and ADSL broadband for less than vodafone had been charging me. Now Vodafone are trying to force me to pay for the mobile phone they DIDN'T PROVIDE in July and claim they didn't cancel my broadband service and thus do not need to compensate me for the abrupt termination of the service.
Additionally the calling is a ludicous and annoying process, with their perverse idea of security insisting on using the the very piecies of information (date of birth and address) my bank tells me to NEVER use. PS Trustpilot please introduce a lower star rating for organisations like vodafone i.e. 0 stars for terrible.

Worst company ever. No clue how to listen to a client to conduct business properly. Aparently they can’t send an itemized bill. Then they could! But it was late so I paid after the bill was presented I said with in 5 minuets. And they still try and charge me late payment fees and after they have emailed my lawyer with a letter saying no more attritional charges will be added they added more trumped up charges Ahahah. There just stupid employees there and no management in place...

As seen on this site, another false claim for money from this dreadful company. They provided me with a sim card that wouldn't work on my phone. They sent another sim and that was exactly the same. Both sims were useless. Online conversations took place ( screen shots taken - always wise to do ! ) cancelling the sims and my account. Confirmation by one of their employees that my account was cancelled and i owed them nothing. Now they are demanding money. I STRONGLY RECOMMEND THAT YOU DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. I ordered a sim from GiIFF GAFF at 4.30 pm and it was delivered to my letterbox the following morning ! Worked straight away. What a delight that was !
You know where to go for great service .

Website doesn't work ...
Tried to buy a Samsung Galaxy S20e on pay as you go - a standard option on their website, including a sim card. The price was great, but it's impossible to complete the checkout process. I've tried with two different browsers on my PC, and two different browsers on my mobile phone, and each time, the website dies after the payment confirmation stage. I now have at least two payments pending on my credit card, and no confirmation email from Vodaphone, and to make matters worse, the number the website then gives you to resolve the problem takes you into a call tree that doesn't include an option to let you rectify the problem. Utter incompetence.
When I did finally find a way to speak to a person, they couldn't even sell me the phone by phone as they aren't allowed to do it by phone - only on the website, which doesn't work, or in store. The first person I spoke to did however try to upsell me to a contract costing £100 a year more than pay as you go would cost. I declined.
Instead I decided to visit my local store, but wanted to check in advance they had stock. I rang the number the website gives and it takes you to a recorded message telling you to ring the very same 08080 number that I rang for customer service earlier, where I was not able to buy a phone. I already know there isn't an option there to get through to my local store.
Then there's the endless "VOdaphone are the mobile operator of the year" recorded messages on their telephone line...which just makes the ineptitude of their service grate even more.

If I could give a 0 rating I would - their service is SHOCKING !!! Please consider other options as I personally will be leaving them at the first opportunity. Customer service is a joke you call to explain your concern and they blame their insurance company - No apology NOTHING. Totally unacceptable service.

I was doing OK with Vodaphone no real complaints until I started receiving calls from a hard sell agency trying to flog their broadband. You have seriously let yourselves down using these tactics. They use a number that identifies as being from Ipstones a small village in the Staffordshire Moorlands so you dont suspect a telesales call and answer it.. very clever you got me but devious and dishonest not what I would expect from Vodaphone.. what personal information of mine has vodaphone passed on to these unscrupulous sales agencies?

Please, just don't waste your time and money with the broadband service. . . . communication; service; billing - all appalling. When, not if, you have billing or service problems use your local TRADING STANDARDS office to complain on your behalf as extra leverage and use the latest Civil Procedure Rules (which can be applied post-Brexit, the Courts have allowed for a No-Deal Brexit in UK litigation). Follow the Pre-action Protocols before taking Vodaphone to the Small Claims Court for remedy and /or your money back. Your costs will be limited but you will get back your Court costs and money from Vodaphone and some little 'good will' compensation. But you can avoid this simply by choosing another supplier. They are all crap in the UK when it comes to customer service, so it is a lottery to choose the least crap one. Vodaphone is the most crap one.

Rude, obnoxious and ignorant customer service agents, and one of the most kafkaesque, torturous customer service experiences I have ever had to endure, plus repeated late payment charges, despite the fact that they repeatedly sent the bill to the wrong address. First I was mis sold a product in a vodaphone shop when I was told, incorrectly, that Vodaphone no longer sell pay as you go simcards. When I tried to terminate the contract I had been put on, which wasn't as described to me in the shop, I had to go through the most appalling customer service experience, requiring repeated calls in which I was talked to as if I was a 'bad customer'. Staff would not divert from their script or listen to any reasoning. They also refused to send me the copy bills I requested. From this one brief experience I will never ever give this company another penny of my money and will endeavour to warn others of the service they offer.

I have been with Voda phone for many years, now I want an unlock code for one of my 3 vodaphones, the process is very unhelpful as I think many people will find and because of this I am minded to disconnect from the company and take all my phones away from Voda phone, but whats bugging me are all the network providors the same,we are entitle by law to a free unlock so voda phone must find a way to be more user friendly, maybe the government should find a way to make all mobile phones unlocked I note from this trust site 85% of reviews for voda phone are bad and not many people are happy all my phones supplied by voda phone are unhappy, they dont accept cash in the branch anymore, and theyb dont supply unlock codes in the branch any more their customer service is on a downward path the negative customer feedback on this site means vodaphone need to sit up and take notice people will start to move
