The trip was one of the most memorable of my motorcycling life.
Bali and Java are two very different places full of surprises around every corner with Bali being green and lush and Java being more volcanic.
Exploring these places on a Royal Enfield just adds to the Magic and soon you feel part of the culture and the faith structure of the islands.
Vintage rides made the experience very enjoyable from the booking and admin support to the actual trip. The guide was knowledgeable and knew his stuff, he was very personable and led the group well
He took us to places well off the tourist trail and was informative in his description.
I would recommend Vintage Rides to anyone seeking adventure on a motorcycle.

Vintage Rides delivered as they said they would, from the initial booking and liaising (which was all done via phone and internet as I am based in Australia) to the actual trip. There wasn't one thing that I could fault, the bikes were great and suited to the riding conditions, accommodation was great for the region, food was always plentiful and high quality. Our Guide, Mechanic and Support Driver were great and a fun part of the group and also very helpful and supportive. I enjoyed Vintage Rides that much that I am planning another trip in the future as it was that much fun.

One of the most challenging and intense experiences of my life. The route was extreme and remote, but the scenery and experience were both spectacular. The weather provided every season from snow and ice to heat and monsoon rains. Accommodations were rudimentary in the more remote areas, so do not expect luxury. The motorcycles are easy to ride, but well used. Our guide was great, and the support team efficiently fixed any issues with the bikes. This is not a trip for everyone, but I am so pleased I did it.

Outstanding adventure with Vintage Rides crossing the Himalayas on Royal Enfield motorcycles. Excellent operation from trip preparation to support through the entire tour. Dedicated staff to ensure participants can experience an adventure with optimum safety and reliability. Highly recommend Vintage Rides as the ideal adventure motorcycle tour operator wherever they operate around the world.

Honestly, if I would have known that this tour is a French affair, with only French bikers, French guide and organized by a French Company, I would have chosen another tour operator, because I do not speak or understand French, and 90% of all communication was in French...Sorry.

My 2nd trip with Vintage Rides and yet another brilliant trip exploring another aspect of India. This was an 'adventure' trip to the Himalays so less comfort and more difficult riding conditions , so if you aren't prepared..beware!. If you have all the riding kit, then it's brilliant.
Just booked my 3rd trip with them , so that says it all

It was the first time I travelled with Vintage Rides and I could not be more happy: mythic bikes, amazing landscapes and a great team from booking to guides.
A real adventure I will not forget... and try to come back on another tour for sure!

If you're going to do something different, then do it differently; properly. Do it the Vintage way.
We traveled, We wined and dined; We laughed and swore: We lived.
Traveling the highways(literally) and byways of Peru was a super experience. In fantastic company, understood and overawed by all and sundry. From the altiplano to the Amazon basin, it was glorious.
In one trip we had excitement, culture, variety, archaeology and friendship under a mantle of superb stewardship. Through the efforts of Josh (our leader) and Florian; everyone was made to feel Welcome, valued and subsequently missed. Great job guys/gals who integrated all the pieces to produce the whole. Thank you.
From a rightly tired traveler

From the moment I was met at Ulaanbaatar airport to the moment of my departure my dealings with Vintage Rides was a smooth and professional process. The Hotel was a more than I expected, and the free breakfast every morning was most welcome.
The actual bike tour however was something else, and all in all an unforgettable experience. Everyday we rode on different terrain in different conditions all the while surrounded by spectacular scenery. One day your riding on an ice covered lake under clear blue skies and the next your forging your way through ice and slush as they snow falls all around. A pure riding experience for the motorcycle connoisseur. We also experienced local food, customs and hospitality as we were lucky enough to stay with traditional Mongolian families.
The support staff were outstanding, taking care of all our needs. Especially the mechanic whom seemingly performed miracles at the end of every days ride to keep us all on the road. And then there were our guides Francois and Jean. I cannot speak more highly of these two, especially Francois, he has the patients of a saint and dealt with all dramas in a cool calm and collected manner.
Simply an experience I wont forget in a hurry and my hope is to ride with Vintage Rides again someday.

From the time of my arrival at the Hotel in Chiang Mai each hour was filled with new and exciting experiences. Firstly there was a meeting with the rest of the team for the briefing of our 12 stage tour around the Northern perimeter of the country and a couple of days to enjoy the city of Chiang Mai. After the allocation of a Royal Enfield 500cc Bullet to each rider the main adventure began with all concerns for organisation handled dispelled by Vintage Rides. We stayed in some very comfortable hotels and sometimes Resort Hotels, most of them with swimming pools and were introduced to the delights of different authentic Asian meals at local and good quality eating houses. Often we were meeting new Thai people and were welcomed by their genial manner, always smiling. At times we traveled well off the beaten track and were thereby rewarded handsomely with magnificent views and often a chance to meet the real people of Thailand. Our Vintage tour leader and local Thai guide arranged many interesting visits including a short excursion to Laos and a trip to the Opium Museum, in itself thought provoking. The motorcycles were well maintained with the mechanic seen at the end of each days ride checking the machines over, adjusting as may be necessary and finally wiping them over to be presented to us in good order for the new day. The route was mostly on roads with reasonable surfaces and included quite a bit in the mountains with steep ascents, descents and countless hairpin bends. Not fast but at times very exciting rides at a pace allowing enjoyment of the countryside we were passing through. On completion of nearly 1200 miles and with very few untoward events it is fair to say that Vintage Rides have got it right. Always a professional approach and building a team including guides, mechanic and back up driver that supported us throughout the tour. In advance of the tour the Vintage sales and liaison team kept me informed at every stage and have been a pleasure to work with. Nobody does it better than Vintage Rides!

Just finished a Ramble of Rajasthan. Before I went I was a bit apprehensive, but I needn't have worried. From the 1st time I met the rest of the group it was FANTASTIC ! The tour guide (Deepak) mechanic (Junaid) and support driver (Israr) were all great as well as a great laugh.I have been riding road bikes for 40 yrs , so my 1st time off-road was a bit nervy , but the Royal Enfield handled it without a murmur. The support and correspondence from the whole Vintage Rides team from start to finish was 1st class...so much so that I am booking my next trip with them to do the Trans Himalayan Adventure tour

This was my 1st guided group tour and it exceeded my expectations on every level. From the meet and greet at the airport to the conclusion of the tour there would seem very few if any areas for improvement.
Being the only British and therefor non French speaker on the trip was never an issue and I felt included in all activities and conversations.
Josh, our American guide, who was fluent in French and English, put everyones riding skills to the test at times and was very encouraging and helpful when necessary as well as being good company. The support team, especially Atol, the mechanic were 1st class and more than capable of achieving success acompanied with a smile. I am certain all participants on this adventure improved their riding skills greatly in situations, places and conditions they had never encountered befor.
I hope to meet and ride with some of my French friends in the future.
My thanks to everyone involved at Vintage Rides

I have just finished my second tour with Vintage Rides. I have just booked my third. I think this is testament to how much I value their service.
From my initial enquiry, I found Vintage Rides to be very professional in all aspects of my travel plans. They were always helpful and happy to help with any additional tour arrangements. Whilst on tour their guides are fantastic and the support team are great. It really is a care free way to tackle a dream motorcycle tour. The Royal Enfield bikes are beautiful and quaint. They perform well and are totally suitable to the type of riding done on tour. I think I might buy an Enfield in the near future!
I would not hesitate to recommend Vintage Rides to a person that wants to experience a motorcycle tour in an exotic location, without having to worry about anything.

Well organized trip, great guide with a safety first mentality without compromising the adventure element. Mongolia is beautiful in summer and staying in yurts was far more comfortable than I expected. Highly recommendable tour company, trip and guide! Simply fantastic!
