Many years the prices of Versio were decent and competitive.
Now I see that I must pay about €36 for a subscription I used to pay €10 for.
So I am OUT OUT OUT..
I guess the founders were taken over by a -- venture capitalist--

On their site it says "DirectAdmin is automatically installed on your VPS." But there is no direct admin and after hours and configuring my server here is the answer I received from the support: "it will not be installed and will not be included for free,"

Here is my thoughts after a week. I got the VPS plan cloud V. I tried really hard to make the site work. Yet it is not stable. It only works early in the morning and sometimes late at night. Weird but that is the case. Other times I receive an error saying the site does not exist. But it appears sometimes! Reliability is a huge concern with versio. Besides I could not get a real support.
So now I need to look for another VPS provider after spending my whole week.

After many, many contacts with VERSIO I feel it is time to warn. As as everything goes well, it goes well. Haha.
But when it comes to support, even in well documented cases of software that is working well all over the world, their support
a) simply refuses to recognize the problem originates in THEIR server settings (mainly PHP, which is 90% unaccessable for users!)
b) in spite of which some problems magically disappear some time after contact, only to mysteriously pop-up again at a later date (a trick also played by the hosting company STRATO)
c) keeps referring back to the application authors, thus keeping customers running around in senseless circles.
So, beware, there is no hotline, after one mail exchange you wait for more than a day only to receive.. no effective help.

the mails that i send regularly did not arrive!! they never were interested in finding out how this was possible. they work with older systems, do not support iPv6. so if someone else uses uptodate systems they can stop your mail from reaching the inbox due to safety concerns
they even have deleted all emailaccounts of one of my domains!!! they did not take responsability, were not helpfull in recovery or other assistance, they refused to find out how it was possible or how to make sure it would never happen again.

I contacted Versio support multiple times about emails not arriving to my dad's email account & his inability to login to them via webmail.
At first we had a long back and forth about DNS settings, in which they regularly avoided my questions and only after a long time gave a useful answer.
That however was not the issue. The mailbox seemed to be corrupted.
I reported this and it took them almost a day (I even had to follow up during that time) to tell me THEY DELETED THE EMAIL INBOX (yes, all the emails gone)... all I had to do was create it again ?!
Thanks for not only being useless, but also f***ing things up beyond any recognition.

The service is terrible
I own a lot of domain names, servers, email addresses and such. This provider does not help me out with my issues, there is no phone number, no reasonable responses through the 'CHAT' system. They said "This may look like a chat system, but this is used to open tickets." And then they closed the conversation. I am moving to another provider and I suggest anyone to do so.

Since the increase of 500% on hosting and domain registration/continuations and the lack of proper responses on technical questions / not enough technical background to help out I will quit after the contract is over. Prices from 6 euro a year are low but to increase it to 30 euros is ridiculous! We have something to celebrate the email announced? Yes of course I will celebrate! The fact that most customers will switch ;)
They are owned by an investor company and that explains maybe this move...

I'm many years customer of Versio, and had already so many problems. Today again the support needed more than 24h to answer, and meanwhile my domain name is expired (due to another mistake of Versio). Moving from servers is not that easy, but I hope I get soon ride of Versio

time to time pages to only show "you meet your resource limits." Closer inspection shows how the server resources has dropped (memory andd cpu) and entry process limit has set in middle of contract. At first 24h when my sites were working only occasionally I managed to contact 2 people claiming that problem was solved or it was my fault. After 24h server side person contacted and told that this was normal. And again my site was the problem. So be aware if using their services. It might be that your sites don't work anymore and you will hear that it is your fault.

Increased prices for me with 500% and not only that - they also emailed it as “good news” and “something to celebrate”. The 500 price hike is unccaptable and was barely even mentioned in the email!

The customer service is terrible. It mainly comes down to "find it out for yourself". Also don't bother asking two questions in one ticket (that are related and even steps of the same problem or solution) because they will simply ignore all of them except the most useless one.
Seriously, terrible. Also updates in settings or backups take ages to get done. Don't use this service!!!
