I’ve been trying to get in touch with Verizon technological support for three days. I can’t speak with a live person. On hold for 30 minutes no one answers the phone. I don’t think anyone works for Verizon any more. It’s time to switch phone service. Unfortunately no one from Verizon reads these reviews otherwise they would do something about this problem

Bought a hotspot through Verizon. Used it one time and it died in a month. Called customer service to see about replacing it through the store and I kept being told that they must mail me one. As if that was the only way possible to get a replacement. I repeatedly told them there was a Verizon store less than a mile away and I would gladly drop off the faulty hotspot to get a replacement. Nope we can mail you one. I still don't understand this ridiculous policy. It would ultimately save them money on postage. Finally got ahold of someone that was trying to sort things out and we became disconnected. Back to the que I went where no one answered for over 20 minutes and I finally hung up. I was on hold for 95% of the hour and 45 minute phone call. Honestly I never leave reviews like this. Ever. I don't see how what I was asking was unreasonable either. I got sold a trash unit and now have to wait to get a replacement vs just picking one up tomorrow.

I do not like Verizon so far. We signed up a couple of months ago. Switched over 2 lines and were promised 2 $300 Visa gift cards for the switch. Turns out we actually had to register ourselves for those cards which the rep failed to mention. That's not it either. The 2 gift cards are actually $200 a piece not $300 another mislead. We are at the end of July and still have not recieved these cards for our switch! The rep also persuaded us to use their military discount promotion they were offering at the time of our sign up. We really weren't interested because neither me or my boyfriend served but the rep insisted even if we knew someone who had served we would be eligible so we contacted a friend who had served the rep told her what she needed to do which was show proof she'd served. Simple as that. Unfortunately,the rep failed to mention not only did she need to show this proof but she would also have to be added to our account in order for us to receive the discount! I wish we'd had a better and more honest rep! The Gastonia,NC branch is not the best and I wish we'd stayed with who we switched from at least they had better customer service! Really considering switching back!

Mobile coverage is good, better than AT&T, Sprint and T-Mobile. The up- and down-load speeds are OK, even in sparsely populated areas. And, I like their loyalty plans. And, the app is great - so is the web page.
But that wait time to get phone support!!! Holy crap. 30+ minutes holding all three times I've had to call so far (43 minutes, 32 minutes, and 39 minutes). They are the worst of all the phone companies at connecting you with a person... which *should* be what they are good at - connecting people by phone, lol. They would get 5 stars (for saving me from AT&T's bill-me-for-every-little-thing shenanigans), were it not from the fact that I cannot reliably call them and get a human in 5 minutes or less (which I consider a hard requirement). If you are low maintenance customer and just want a reliable service and a fun loyalty program, do most things by app and never have to call them for support - you'd probably rate them a 5-star!

Verizon...after you get started with them Verizon representatives Will not Answer the phone!!! All of the customer service people are African Americans.
(I am African American) that is the first red flag.
Seriously in 4 years, has never been that way.
But these folks break in on your out bound calls and knows more about why you call than you do.
They have all the answers... Honestly I am not sure if these people work for Verizon or not.
Go with another company. They will always send you a text message with something called the digital assistant...or charge you 7.00 a call you aren't important enough to speak to a live person.
After you have sign on. The only thing is important is your method of payment.
Run away they are the most expensive.
Go with anyone else.

Switched from att to Verizon after 10 years because I moved and they were the only signal at my house. While the signal is 2 bars which is better than zero bars it all around isn’t that good. It works but slow and only most the time.
I have their hot spot deal and it is pure garbage. And I mean all but unusable. It will drop out every few minutes and those few minutes it works it’s slower than dial up. You’ll have a better time bare handing a pile of dog poop than you will trying to use this thing. I would rather look at a naked old lady than try to download or game on this. All in all I’d go back to att if they had a tower near me.

My husband and I recently relocated to the Amarillo Texas area, and needed new phones and service. I didn't know what to expect, because we had a different service in another state. We couldn't be more pleased with Verizon and Representative Pam! She exceeded our expectations, and experience. We had a few glitches while being set up...which she and her GM were able to trouble shoot. We definitely appreciated all the extra help and attention to detail. We walked out of the Verizon as happy campers! Pam was always friendly and professional, and we enjoyed our interactions with her. Go check out Verizon (Corporate Store) in Amarillo and ask for Pam! She will get the job done for your!

Just switched from Verizon to Xfinity Mobile. We were able to keep our numbers, and the bill went from $130 a month to $53 a month. Verizon made the mistake of deactivation of all four numbers, instead of two, which we requested as two children were in school out of state, and we had to send them the SIM cards. They would have been without cell service until they got the cards because of Verizon's mistake. They had to reactivate after the deactivation, and the mistake was done and corrected within an hour. Two weeks later, we get a bill for $80 from Verizon for the activation, that should not have happened in the first place. We went to Xfinity, and they credited our acct. for that amount. Customer service there was great......but not at Verizon. We were loyal customers there for 20+ years, and not sure why at this point!

I am with the zero star reviewer, every phone call I have made to Verizon has lasted 15 to 20 minutes before I could talk to an agent, I have had agents get rude with me and tell I should have purchased the international plan at $17 dollars a day to avoid $1.25 text messages. a $30 sim card in Thailand is good for 8 days unlimited and dials direct Verizon uses dial assist services. So I switched to prepaid because Verizon is $70 a month for 5GB, the Verizon prepaid service is the worst I have used it ranks worse than straight talk all video calls buffer and buffer and pause and disconnect. they are absolutely not the best network they Frigging Suck !!!! So then I try to call customer service and even the computer hangs up on you now, I was hung up on 3 times because the computer did not recognize my replies and respond we are sorry you are having troubles try again later and disconnects the line. that is exactly not how I want to be treated as a customer. Then when you make it through the voice prompts you wait 20 minutes to speak to an agent......... again not the way I want to be treated as a customer. I had a sales rep tell me she had 85 people on hold waiting to be talked to so I asked why Verizon didn't have more people to take care of their customers.... common sense ? Verizon does not care about customer satisfaction and does NOT have the best network anymore !

Verizon needs to be a little more efficient when it comes to helping customers. .. I have been calling numerous times about a credit.. oh yes we took the phone but do you know when we got it... talked to 6 reps and they hang up when they cant find the answer or they do not want to admit they screwed up...... loyal customer over 5 yrs... about to he done in 2 months. Sorry they didnt care enough to call me back... sad sad times... where automation is just as bad as live help :( wake up verizon you r only as good as the people you have representing you... maybe sprint or cricket will be better. Ir maybe just a land line. Hello AT&T.

My adult son got orders to Alaska and our previous cell provider (whom we loved) doesn’t have reliable service there, from what we were told by those in the area. So we went with Verizon. I’ve lost count of the broken promises that were made to us in the store by the sales reps when we switched. We were told we’d have a military discount as soon as he showed his ID. (Untrue.) We were told we’d get rebates for switching. (Untrue. I submitted them and they were denied because we didn’t buy the most expensive phones when we switched.) We were told data wouldn’t work in a suburban area because we needed a more expensive plan. (Untrue. We bought up to the next plan and the data still wouldn’t work.) As soon as possible, we will switch providers.

I just canceled my services with Verizon and went to T-Mobile. I cannot reach anyone to get a copy of my final bill and when I login the site is down. How am I supposed to pay? When I called the number I was put on hold for 11 minutes. There is no email. The chat isn't for noncustomers. It's ridiculous! There was an error every time I tried to log in and I've been trying to reach someone for that, but I have been unsuccessful.
VERIZON: This is one of the major reasons why I canceled. Your customer service sucks! I've had multiple occasions where I've called in and got a different answer each time. I was lied to by a CSA and had to wait for a manager to call to fix my situation. The other reason, your services are a rip off! Time to restructure or you'll probably continue losing valuable customers.

Worst experience I've ever had with customer service.
Stay on hold for over 30 min and they cut you off..call back and after 45 min I get a very negative rep..I ask to speak with supervisor and after negotiable terms, we get cut off.get a text saying they call right back..never happened..
Phone service sucks...I live right under a tower..won't back up their phones..which Moto z play is a peice of crap
When I get chance, I'm done ..
I advise no one to go with these clowns

Verizon service is horrible and all they do is tell lies. Calls dropping all day, phone ringing and can't answer, can't make outgoing calls and the calls that does come through drop or static and the calls go in and out where the other person can't hear me. Phone also had no bars quite often today where it stated emergency calls only and no network connection.
I use this phone for business and am missing thousands of dollars. I am also 8 months pregnant so in the event I do have an emergency, I can't dial out. If this isn't rectified by tomorrow, I'm switching immediately as I need something simple.....a phone that'll allow me to make and receive calls and utilize the internet.

Absolutely horrendous service. Broken IT systems too. Have been asked to upload a lease contract to get my Fios internet/TV setup. Uploaded the documentation. Still getting emails to upload it though. Every single day.
Called in twice to verify everything is still on track. They said yup. Yet still getting emails every day.
Did I mention I'm still getting emails every day to upload what I've already uploaded? In case it wasn't clear.

YOU SPEAK WITH ROBOTS ON THE CHATS AND WAIT TIME TO SPEAK WITH THEM IS AT LEAST 2 HRS............USE COMCAST.....USE DIRECT Tv, BUY AN ANTENNAE AT WALMART............................STAY AWAY FROM COMCAST UNLESS YOU WANT HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE. WISH THERE WAS LESS THAN ONE STAR......................

I keep getting different answers every time I talk to a representative but the ultimate response to my questions and frustrations is, "We can't help you." Unbelievable. Unprofessional. They’ve been charging me for a iPad I never had. And I can never get parts for my phone even tho I pay a crap ton. There customer service sucks. The final straw was tonight when my phone was shut off after making a payment and going to 6 stores!! And I had a scheduled payment and a payment arrangement for the balance because supposedly they were fixing my bill. Nooooope they never fixed it and they shut my phone off the next day and tried to accuse me of canceling the payment! Such bull crap and can’t believe they do this legally

I travel frequently and use the Verizon Monthly International Plan for 70.00 a month. During my recent trip to Europe, I signed up for the plan. It was not set up correctly and therefore did not work correctly. I had to contact Verizon numerous times while on vacation to get it fixed and because my International Plan hadn't been turned on, it incurred large data usage amounts which were applied once it was fixed. I was so upset, I cancelled my Verizon service after returning to the states. In the final bill, they charged me a cost for Usage in the US, International minutes - Landline on a date I was still in Europe and still under the International Plan. In addition, when you cancel Verizon, they send you a final "cost" in an email and you cannot see the detail or see your account detail on line because you have discontinued your account. The entire process to have the incorrect amount credited and fixed cost me several frustrating hours. If you have any other option, do not use Verizon Wireless. Their $70 a month International Plan is a sham and they make incorrect charges on your bill because they want you to use the $10 a Day International Plan and not the $70 a month plan. Paying a final bill once you disconnect services should not be a difficult process but with Verizon Wireless it is and deliberately so because they cannot be that inept.

If I could rate Zero I would. I have been attempting to get a business phone set up with them for 5 months. I have gotten nothing but the run around and no answers. I have been lied to again & again. For months now I have asked for a break down of my bill & cannot get a single person to answer that question. They charged me under lines I didn’t know I had. I have spent countless hours on the phone trying to figure everything out. I’ve had my service shut off because I was told not to pay the bill because it was incorrect & then I get a late fees. It’s ridiculous

Verizon always has a "higher than normal" caller load. Do they even understand the meaning of "normal"? What they should have on their recording is "It's normal for Verizon customers to have very long hold times. Your call is important to you, but nobody else."

The calling is great never once dropped a call but the internet and other loading speeds are horrible and when I say horrible I mean absolutely s**t I pay extra for unlimited data and the speeds are horse s**t wouldn’t recommend them if your using your phone anything other than calling
