Amazon Payments hung up on me right after I asked them if it's a scam or not. That's very messed up.
I found the beautiful car on Craigslist for $5,000! I was excited about purchasing a car for my 25th birthday. I thought it was legit. Donna Reed, the seller sent me an email telling me her 2015 Nissan Altima is still for sale and the price was reduced at $5000 as she needs to sell it before February 2nd. The deal includes free delivery. I agreed to purchase the car. So, the fake "Amazon Payments" sent me the invoice with all the details I need in order to complete this deal. The site looked so legitimate. So, I paid $2,800 through Moneygram for a deposit. Several days ago, they sent me another email notifying me that the shipping is not insured. The seller is covering the shipping costs but the item is not insured during the shipping process. They requested an additional payment from us both (seller & buyer) to cover the item during the shipping. The insurance service costs $5000 (half will be paid by the seller and I have to pay the other half of $2500.00). I was like, "Something is not right...." So, I called the amazon and asked them if it's a scam. BAM- they just hung up on my face. I literally cried because I lost $2,800 for nothing. Please help me get my money back. I can't afford for this to be a scam. PLEASE fix this for me- I am begging you.
