I would recommend Vector to anyone that's looking for alarm system. I really appreciate technician "Dexter". I always asked for he to come do my repairs. He goes above and beyond to satisfy his customers. He makes sure that everything is working properly before he leaves. Always suggests more things that we as a customer can do to protect our homes. Good Job Dexter.

Tony always does a great job. I was not onsite when he arrived but he was able to follow my instructions in retrieving the camera from my office and taking it to the correct spot to install. When I arrived at work and turned on the VMS the camera was up, working and the view placed perfectly. Tony is one of the best installers I’ve worked with over the many years I’ve been in charge of the camera security system at Pilgrims Nacogdoches. Please give Tony my Thanks again.

I purchased a home that had this company's security system installed. I decided not to continue using it. One year later, the alarm randomly starts going off every single time the front door opens. I've called Vector three times to resolve it. The first time, I was told that they can't take care of it because I'm not a customer. I called back and a man named Jonathan tried to walk me through disarming it, but I'm not comfortable with weird wiring and transformers. Called back again and got the same person who said he'd leave a message for troubleshooting to help me but no calls back. I left a message, no one returns your calls.

The technician, Jonathan Burton was early for a previous appointment and called to asked if this suited my schedule! On a second visit when installing new products he did an excellent job. Very professional and knowledgeable. He even fixed a problem that came up the previous day that was a quick fix and instructed me on a method to handle it should it happen again. I’m very pleased with the work, service and highly recommend them

If it was possible to give negative stars I would.
For years I have been paying for "monitoring" of my system. One of my sensors failed and it never signaled Vector (Wilkes-Barre PA). A tech arrived and removed the sensor which never sent a tamper alert to Vector. I was told by "Arnie" (reportedly their installation manager with HORRIBLE customer service skills) that the sensor wasn't Vector's problem. "Arnie" doesn't know why it failed and apparently didn't care. I have been paying over $60.00 a month "monitoring" fee with service plan (even though support stated I wasn't covered). I recently called to voice my concern about the "across the board 3.5% rate increase" SURPRISE "Arnie" called me back a week later to tell me the sensor was sent out to be analysed. I find it hard to believe he kept my exact same senor from January to April 2019. I wish I had more space to write my story here....
Needless to say I'm seeking a NEW vendor.

I had a security system put in by Vector back in 2017. It worked great for about 6 months. But then lots of false alarms, automatic lights wouldn't work when entering the house, smoke detector became way too sensitive, and it got worse.
Seemed every time I called I got voicemail. Left a message 3x. Never a call back. The last message I left was telling them I wanted the system removed.
Now some law firm is trying to collect on the contract. Charging me for the equipment an monitoring. Why should I pay for a system that doesn't work correctly? Again I tried to call them and apparently the local number had been disconnected. I've told this to the law firm collecting and even they said they would have someone from Vector contact me. I'm still waiting after 3 months.
I hope this goes to court! The info they gave the law firm does not match the contract! The system was a lemon and I shouldn't have to pay for a system that does not work!
All I ask is to drop the collection and remove the system. But I'm not paying a dime!
FYI, two others in my family used to have Vector and why I chose them initially. Neither of them use Vector any more for similar issues (sensors started acting up, false alarms, etc).
Oh, let me remind Vector, that false alarms can result in fines from law enforcement and fire department. Will you pay those for me?
DO NOT BUY FROM VECTOR unless you want a system that will require a lot of calls to customer service (and good luck getting through), and lots of headaches.

OLD SCHOOL AND NOT HELPFUL. This company was the security system with the previous owners on my house I bought, so I thought, why not keep them. Mistake. $40 to monitor, an app that was often glitchy or wouldn't load. Customer service calls that were not returned ever despite according to them needing to check something and get back to me. When I cancel they won't let me do it over the phone or online. I have to mail or fax a request - all they tell me. I do so. Turns out they won't terminate immediately, only 30 days from the request. Never told me that. They never sent me an invoice for this total - just one saying that THEY owed me $5ish. Then I get a past due notice from them. Shady and unhelpful on the phone. Put on hold every time I call.
Do yourself a favor and set up a system yourself (like Ring) for much less monitoring costs.

Let me start by saying that I am not a complainer. I am a very easy going laid back guy…But my experience with your company has me very, very upset. So here is my experience with your company. Keep in mind this is my first impression and interaction with Vector Securities.
I set an appointment over a week ago for installation of 2 Bluetooth AC thermostat controls and a new alarm system. The first appointment was cancelled by a guy named Doug the day before they were coming out. However, I did have the appointment rescheduled and the alarm and 2 Bluetooth AC systems installed this past Friday January 11th. The gentleman whom installed the unit set them to 75 degrees (which I requested). I noticed on the remote phone application that the house was at 54 on one unit and 61 on the other unit throughout the day. They were set to 75 degrees at approximately 9:20am. I also explained that the alarm wasn’t working and although it said “ARMED”, it also said “ZONE 1 OPENED”. On Friday a few hours after installation I called several times to ask what was going on. I spoke to the guy named Doug again who was out of the Fort Lauderdale branch of your company. This was the same guy that cancelled the first appointment I had scheduled last week. I spoke to Doug 5 times on Friday. The last time was at 4:58pm. I explained that my daughter (14 years old) and I were wearing sweatshirts and jackets because the systems were stuck at 61 and 54 degrees (as he acknowledged himself by looking at the remote application-see Pics 1,2&3). Doug asked for my number and said “I promise I got you on this, I’m going to speak to my lead technician and I will call you back in 10 minutes, don’t worry, I got you, we will fix this immediately). Well, I think we know how this ended….i called back about 30 minutes later to see what was going on and I got the answering service whom said they were closed and to call back Monday.
Doug left us without a care in the world so he could enjoy his weekend. I am disgusted with the lack of concern (considering there was a minor child involved) and commitment to follow through. In addition to all of the above, the system was installed in a way that damaged my door frame. It was a very unprofessional installation (see Pic 4&5). In addition to that, the installer also didn’t use the same “new parts” for installation (on one thermostat he used my old backing plate and on the other he used a new one, see Pics 6&7).
I ended up speaking to a Michelle on the service line whom explained that both Doug and the installer gave me improper directions on how to set the zone temperature. After speaking with Michelle the temperature issue was fixed in 2 minutes….but she did take my number and told me that someone would call me that Friday night about the alarm (nobody called and still hasn’t).
This by far has been the worst experience I have ever had with any company. I just thought you should know about how first impressions can be damaging. I was warned by neighbors not to use Vector due to the terrible service. I brushed it off and this is what I am now dealing with. As of today I still have yet to hear from someone about any of this.
Please let me know how to proceed with fixing this disaster.

I strongly suggest any other company besides this one. Myself and my moms house both had them for several years. Lots of service problems and continually having issues with truly having a working alarm. Today was the straw that broke the camels back. Cancelling "service if you can call it that" immediately.

I have Vector Security in my home and business and it works great! Love the app on the phone that allows me to arm/disarm, control lights, lock/unlock the door, and view my cameras!

While it took a long time to register our account into the system due to an internal error with my email address, Agata Garske, the administrative assistant, worked with me and the IT department to resolve the problem. She was there for me from the beginning , answering my questions and following up to make sure everything was corrected. She did it !!!! and now I can only say Thank you Agata, you did a great job!
