Extremely poor managed company. Never in time with the most unpleasant bus drivers in the world. None of the apps ever work and on top of that it is insanely expensive.
You are better of driving to work, even if you are going alone.

over priced for a service that’s pretty much s**t. rarely on time, controllers usually come in duchebags. They don’t listen they just want an opportunity to give a ticket . They gave me a ticket for having a ticket that was bought on board which is supposedly okay (you can’t pay cash or with card) but a minute or so later than departure. which is just a reasonable time for purchasing it on the app. adressed this issue to the company but nope i still i have to pay ??? and i conclude that they are capitalistic financial driven morons who only care about sucking peoples money. Busses tram uncomfortable many times nasty, always late, they’ve designed absurdly long routes, very limited in certain places, busstops placed badly (and i’m not making up s**t i’ve studied urban planning ). It’s an inefficient time consuming way to travel for a price it really doesn’t deserve. If you are looking for a reason that will convince you to not travel collectively, you have västtrafik. I’d much rather pay more and take an uber that will get me where i want on time !

Extremely expensive - especially for students. Who doesn’t live in the area of goteborg pays so much for trains in terrible times and in old conditions. Slow and always late, there is always a problem , everyday.

Once my trial ticket has expired, I had to start paying for myself to get to travel with Västtrafik's vehicles. I'm not traveling that often with Västtrafik's vehicles, so it's neither that expensive for me. Because of that I live in a city where some grocery stores are several kilometres from me and I can need to travel to them, depending on how far they are from me, I take my bike or travel with buses. Lidl is two kilometres from me, that's where I use to buy my groceries, I use to take my bike to get there. Although it's winter and there's a slippery risk on the roads, it doesn't stop me from saving my money by riding the bike instead of taking the bus.
One of the downsides of the public transport is that bus companies raise their prices for their tickets. Västtrafik is not an exception. Although raising prices for the tickets always is a downside of the public transport, which Västtrafik will do in about the end of the year, Västtrafik has got good news for their passengers. Earlier it was allowed to bring the bike on board on some of Västtrafik's vehicles, but passengers had to pay extra for the transport of the bike. The ticket for the bike transport could cost up to 30 Swedish crowns. However, from that moment when Västtrafik will raise their prices for the tickets, they will abolish the bike transport fee. Instead of that, passengers will be allowed to bring their bikes on board of Västtrafik's vehicles for free, this will apply on the vehicles where it's allowed to bring a bike on board.
I know that 30 Swedish crowns extra for transporting the bike with Västtrafik's vehicles is not much, especially when a passenger brings the bike and transports it once for a time, but in a longer range, when a passenger buys more tickets for the transport of the bike with Västtrafik's vehicles, that means obviously spending more money. Västtrafik abolishing this fee and introducing the rule that passengers are allowed to bring their bikes, this is what I consider to be a very good thing. That will mean that I'll only have to pay for the personal transport of myself, and even if I bring my bike on board, this won't mean any additional cost at all.
Because of that there was an additional charge for bike transports with Västtrafik's vehicles, because of that I didn't need to bring my bike from home, and also because of that I'm having my money in mind for a long range to save up as much money as possible, I've never brought my bike on board of Västtrafik's vehicles yet. But now when passengers will be allowed to bring their bikes on board of Västtrafik's vehicles without paying any additional fee, chances for that I will bring my bike on board get increased. Raisings of prices for the tickets are obviously always having their downsides, but this time it turns out to have an advantage as it's going to be allowed to bring a bike without having to pay any additional fee for its transport.
