I received a call from who I thought was HP support telling me they were showing I had been getting several error messages and proceeded to show me what they were by remotely accessing my computer. The person said they could fix the errors and started remotely doing something. Then they said a support contract would be 199.99 for a year/299.99 for 2 years and 399,99 for a lifetime since I was a senior citizen and that would be the best for me because it would transfer to any computer I have. Today I received a call asking if I wanted to cancel my subscription and I said yes. They gave me the 2nd above number to call. I called that number and was given a bogus website to contact and then hung up on me. I called several times and kept getting hung up on, that's when I filed dispute with my CC company. All I can say is double check the company before you believe what they tell you.

He first phoned me saying that he wanted to refund my money for services that i wasn't using. At the time he said it was about 500.00. He said that he would refund it on my card. when he did i noticed he put on $5,000.00 instead of $500.00. I told him about the mistake and he blamed it on the so called people in accounting. He told me that i could make up the the difference with ITune cards valued at $100.00. he was very insistedent on that figure. I did that. After that he told me he was still short by 1,000. He told me to go and get some more. To make a long story short , he now tells me that the bank is still $3,000 cdn short. H e wants me to do the same thing.

An East Indian sounding man called from #614.763.1223 to tell me my computer is sending out malicious malware - and they could fix it for me. I asked for a phone number to call them back & he gave me the too free number. He said he could hold on the line. I said I would call him after I spoke to the local police and RCMP.

A company called VAPeSECUR also known as Global Website & Support INC called me(I never heard of this company before nor contacted them) to tell me that my new computer which was only four months old was infected and needed a license or I was going to lose everything on it.The company said that my computer was sending them error messages and asked to look at it. The told me that they needed to have control of the computer to fix it. I allowed them to look at it and they supposedly show me items that were not running. I was told that it would cost $399.99 to fix it and to use my credit card for the service. I did this on the 10th of Feb 2017. I received another call on March 10, 2017, telling me that my computer was again infected and they needed access to it in order to fix it. I believe them and the cost were $399.99 on my credit card. On April 01,2017 I got a call telling me that my computer was once again sending error messages and it was infected this time the cost was $649.99 the company tried to access my bank account and could not get bank authorization for bill payer, so I was instructed to mail them a check which I did for $649.99. May 13th I received a call telling me that there was a problem with the computer and to fix it they needed $649.99 which I made check out and mailed it as they could not get bank access, even though they had the screen up. June 12th, 2017 I got a call telling me that the email would be infected as they were getting reports that North Korea had some sort of spy ware attack for the computer and to send a check for $739.99. I did so and them had a stop payment placed on that check. (This is when I got suspicious) I had a computer consultant tell me that I was being "scammed". My son called them tried to talk to Frank and told him that I was being scammed and the man hung up on him. I have since changed my checking account number so that no one can get into the account. I was told that if they were able to view the bank material or had access to the computer which they did that it is wise to change the account as they may access the IP address and try to get money especially since I stop payment on the check. I made a call to Alice on June 15th 2017 in the accounting department and requested that they refund me the $2,099.96 which I paid from February 2017 to May 2017 I explained that I was not happy with what I was suppose to have and did not receive any products..She said that I would have to talk to Frank which I did and he told me to call him back tomorrow the 16th of June 2017. I called Frank on the 16th of June and he transfer me to Josh who gave me the run around. I told him that I was requesting a total refund for services which I did not need or received or any type of software and it was total run around. I ended the call by telling him that I would contact the Attorney General Office and file a complaint if necessary along with notification to the Better Business Bureau. I was informed that windows 10 came with a lot of what they were trying to sell. I later learned that the windows that they were pulling up and telling me that were not running do not all run unless they are activated when you log onto the site. By all means avoid anyone who calls and tells you your computer has any sort of issue

They called pretending to clean my computer and the took the money from me by pretending to be legit. They called after a month or two, telling me that they had their license expired and they needed to give my money back and therefore they needed an lot of personal info., which sound the alarm for me. They came out and told me that if I want my computers back like they were before I needed to get them two Walmart gift cards $500, each for each computer. I did not get the gift cards and my computers are not acting right. I feel bad for my daughters laptop because she has all her school work there and I don't know what is going to happen I just wanted to blast it out there so people should know about this scammers.
