I have a 2017 VMI Honda Odyssey and am very disappointed with the VMI conversion. My two biggest complaints are:
A. There is very little ground clearance. It sits so low to the ground that it drags going into almost any gas station or driveway. Compared to my 2005 Toyota Braun conversion, this van is at least two inches lower. In communications with VMI and Mobility Works, there is no way to remedy the problem. I’m hoping that some taller tires will fit but I hate to replace these with only 17,000 miles on the van.
B. My in floor ramp won’t deploy or stow without using the override function. VMI says there’s no reset button. Now I have to drive 90 minutes, each way, to Mobility Works and pay them $115/hour to diagnose and fix the problem.
Additionally the airbag warning light comes on sporadically. I’m not sure if this is a VMI or Honda issue or if it is a problem with the seat installation.
Theses issues are very frustrating and I bought a new van to not have these hassles. That is the reason I was replacing my 2005 Toyota, which now I’m keeping as a backup to this VMI van.

We agreed to purchase the van back in December 12. We paid in full to the local dealer to secure so the van can be customized in Arizona. The vehicle came to the dealer beginning of February but we couldn’t get the van because the title wasn’t receive in time. By the time feb 25th the title came and it has the mistake - 2letters were off.
Disappointed at this transaction. Our previous van was from VMI, we thought we stay with the same modification NorthStar.
The company should have been paying more attention to detail, hope this van doesn’t have other mistakes.

The service from silver cross was good but we have had several conerns associated with the van - rust, door noise, etc! The workmanship issues are concerning.

My problem is with the dealer, Mobility Express in New Port Richey, FL. It took 5 weeks to finalize the transaction and it was delivered the day before hurricane Irma struck my area. The dealer misled me with regards to the VMI and USAA rebates/credits and I did not have time to refute these. As mentioned above, the van was delivered the day before a major storm and I had to sign the rebate forms as-is or I would have been left with no transportation. I am in a wheelchair and need the conversion van for transportation.
