It’s basically a disposable van. Bought a 2014 Dodge with VMI in floor ramp. 3 years later this thing has rust holes in the floor. You can actually stick your hand through the hole and poke the floor mat. Water and snow come through the holes and the entire floor FLOODS! The wheels on my sons chair sit it puddles of water. I’ve never seen anything like this before. I have a 20 year old vehicle with less rust than this thing. I call it our fair weather van because I can only drive it in nice weather. I’ve been told that VMI used inferior materials and during certain years and this is a common problem. I was also told that they changed the materials in 2017. Wonder why. Customer service has been a joke. I won’t even go into details on that. They make it seem like I did something wrong. The only thing we did wrong was buy one of their conversion vans. They should do the right thing and issue a recall. I think a class action lawsuit needs to be looked in to.

Totally unacceptable service from VMI
I ordered my van through a dealer in mid-July, and was told it would take 1 - 4 weeks for the conversion. After 4 weeks I called and was told it was not yet ready. This continued until September 20th, when the dealer arranged a conference call with a representative from VMI, who had excuses about missing pieces in the recall packet, etc., but that it was now completed. Partway though the call he feigned surprise and announced he had just gotten the schedule and it would be shipped out on the 26th. I called this morning and discovered that it had not been shipped out on the 26th and thus has still not arrived at the dealer. This is completely unacceptable and I advise others to use Braunability.

On the second day of ownership the right rear door wouldn't close all the way even after several tries. I tool it back to the dealer and it worked for them several times. Two days later the same thing happened except tis time the door would not open or close.I went back and tried the the buttons on the side column and all I got was a clunking sound. So I got out the crank but couldn't get the right angle to engage the gears. So I went back up and started the van again to try to go get help and couldn't get it out of park. So after messing with it for 3 hours I finally had to call 911 and the were able to use the crank to get me out. NOT A HAPPY CAMPER. Also the transfer seat doesn't have enough room to swivel so I have to open the driver side rear door to swivel. I don't know if it's the wrong seat or it's just to big. Again not a HAPPY CAMPER.
