I booked 2.5 months out to our trip to Anaheim in one of Val's properties. We received a confirmation, correspondence with her, booking was fully paid for and we thought there were no issues. When went to confirm our check in details 3 weeks prior to our arrival date, we found out that she had double booked the property. Even though we had booked prior to the other folks, she would not honor our booking. I suspect because she was getting more money from the other booking, otherwise why would she not honor the first person to book if you were going to make one person mad anyways?
She did not respond to my emails or my text messages and only when I posted a poor review did I hear back from her with an angry voicemail and texts. She then claimed that she was "trying to work something out" but yet she hadn't responded to me at all prior to that, even though I could see that she had read my text messages. She still did not have a solution for me and we got nowhere.
Had we not followed up there would have been two families that would have showed up to the house and we would have had nowhere to stay because all of Anaheim is booked now. She has caused us not only stress, but money, time and clients as well given that this was a business trip.

Worst Experience ever. The bottom line is, don't believe that you actually have a confirmed booking with Val. You may not have a place to stay when you arrive.
