If I could give this company zero stars, I would. I booked a vacation last December thru Vacation Express. My husband and I were booked to travel with 2 minor children to the Dominican Republic in June, 6 months from the time we booked. I specifically asked if we needed to get a passport for our minors and he said all we needed would be their original birth certificates and their military ID’s. I asked again so we would have enough time to get them if we needed them, he still said no. So my husband and I brought our passports and their birth certificates and ID’s. We went to the airport to check in at the Vacation Express counter and they told us we could not travel without their passports. I explained what I was told, and she told me there was nothing they could do and I should call their customer service number. So I called and called and called. I asked for a supervisor, left multiple messages, and finally got a call back 3 weeks after we were suppose to have had our vacation. She told me “you should have known better.” She said they would not rebook our vacation, they would not credit us anything or refund us anything. She said even if she could do anything, it was 3 weeks after I booked the vacation. I told her, “because you took 3 weeks to call me back!” She was extremely rude and provided zero customer service or just simple manners. We left the airport on the day we were suppose to go to the Dominican Republic with everyone in tears because Vacation Express gave us inaccurate information. And then lied about it. I will never book with Vacation Express again and I will make sure I relay this to everyone I know. The unprofessional woman I spoke to at Vacation Express was Terry at extension 44267. Her Manager is Monique. For your sake, DON’T EVER BOOK WITH VACATION EXPRESS!!!!

We always use Vacationsexpress.com for our vacation needs! Everything can be done easily online, but if you need to speak to someone, they are very helpful on the phone as well!

I experienced a great experience with this company. Needed to change my resort at the last minute. Took a few calls but after I it was done I couldn't appreciate them anymore. I was glad that rep helped me out.

Started with a room for two and our group grew to 15. Getting everyone else on board was a nightmare! A different agent every time (up until a supervisor overheard the agent calling a customer - one in our group - a "b----". I heard nothing but complaints from most of the other 13. Customer reps often didn't answer. Try to get the same person twice - impossible.

I would not recommend going thru vacation express to anyone! We missed our flight out of Cleveland...they had the plane boarded and our First Class seats given away almost an hour before it was supposed to leave. We were at the check in 45 munutes pruor to flight. They didn't offer us anything for missing the flight! We drove 4 hours home and had to book another plane and rental car. On the way back to the U.S. the flight was so turbulent and first class got the same snacks and everything as everyone else. Everyone kept using the bathroom in 1st class and half way thru our flight, the whole cabin smelled like sewer.

Horrible they say they price match but when I sent all the information in for a vacation that was $230 less for same vacation it was denied. I will never purchase through them again save your time and money and go to book it.com

Resort was still under construction. St. Martin resort we book was still under construction and approximately 60% complete. Vacation express did not inform us of this and were difficult in rectifying the situation.

We booked our trip online with vacation express. Website was easy to use and there were no unexpected surprises except that we paid for a shared transfer but had a private transfer to the resort and back to the airport at the end of our trip. I would definitely use them again. All room photos etc were accurate.

Vacation Express ruined my 50th Birthday Trip. I would NEVER EVER book with them again. My worst traveling experience ever and it was solely based on their inability to book the reservation properly through the resort. They also lied to us and said the resort was full when in fact VE was at their booking capacity. Steer clear!

I try to travel internationally every year. Since i discovered vacation express i only use them. They have really good options and customer service is good as well.
My only issue(small) is that you can’t add or subtract a day on your reservation unless you cancel the entire reservation and start a new 1.

My wife and I booked a vacation to DR last October, for travel in late August. At that time, we were encouraged to 'book now' to secure the 'best' rates. We did so, paying a deposit and trip insurance up front. Since that time, they have sent a constant stream of emails, with coupons and better terms than we got, booking so far in advance. When I call to inquire, after long, long holds, I am basically told, 'too bad.'
Now, 8 weeks before our trip, we have decided to cancel. I have chronic immune disorder we felt best to not chance it in Punta Cana, with all the recent health issues. When I tried to call, the announcement says to call back later, unless your travel is in next 2 weeks (they later confirmed they were slammed by cancellations caused by DR issues). A week later, I called and the rep told me I needed to email the Care department, and they would help. I did and heard nothing. Days later, while online, investigating cancellation, their chat service popped up. I inquired about cancel, and they said just call. When I said I did that a week ago and told to email, they confirmed I was just blown off! When I asked if that was how they treat a customer, they abruptly ended the chat session!
Today, I called, and after another long wait, I finally spoke to a rep. I was told I could cancel, and get a voucher good for a year, or transfer to a new location. We looked at another resort, in Mexico, and the cost was $1000 higher than on their website, if I booked as a new customer. I also found it $500 even lower at a competition. When I brought it to the attention of the rep, he said there was up charges on the air and hotel due to the transfer. I asked where was the benefit, if I could just get it new, and he said I was free to do that if I wanted. I asked if this was fair, he said it was company policy, and that's all he could do. I just cancelled and will walk away with my $438 mistake in judgement. Don't make same mistake I did!!!
