I received a certified letter and email and call from the above person. He stated that ACE has reported fraud on me and that they contacted him to collect the money I owed. I did take out a loan with ACE and I knew it was about time to pay them back. I lost my job and called ACE to explain the situation. Not 2 days later I got a call from the name above staring that ACE was taking me to court for delinquent payment. I called back and made payment arrangments to pay my loan back since I knew I had to. After I pairs the loan I got a call from what and who I though worked with ACE saying we have received ur payment and ur balance is zero. Well let's just say this man here took me for 300.00. Money that was supposed to go to ACE and it landed in the hands of another person. Please do not pay for anything over the phone or online . make sure u know who I are dealing with. Make sure u don't get scammed like I did. Lesson learned.

Threatening legal action if I don't pay
Received a copy of a fake letter from the courts also showing cc: Municipal Court, County Sheriff, County Recorder with a FAKE stamp FILED Feb 27 2017 filing clerk by: T. Rosales. This was part of a bankruptcy of mine from MANY years ago. I have filed with the BBB and also found this:
Phone and Mail Scam Alert
In various parts of the United States, citizens are being targeted by phone calls and mail to coerce recipients into providing payments or confidential data, potentially leading to identity theft and fraud. These calls and letters are not from real court officials.
Federal courts do not require anyone to provide any sensitive information in a telephone call. While most contact between a federal court will be through the U.S. Mail, any phone contact by real court officials will not include requests for social security numbers, credit card numbers, or any other sensitive information.
It is a crime for anyone to falsely represent himself or herself as a federal court official. The federal judiciary takes seriously such an offense. Persons receiving such a telephone call or mail should not provide the requested information, and should notify the Clerk of Court's office of the U.S. District Court in their area.
I have filed with my local Clerk's office today.

Out of the blue, I received a photocopy of a letter stating that a court case had been filed against me for fraud against a payday loan. Years ago, I'm talking at least 8+ years ago I did a payday loan but that was all paid back. But this "company" is saying that they are taking me to court, I have all these charges, etc. I have never been contacted by the original company, nor has there ever been a collection hit on my credit report for this. Today I received a text message stating tomorrow there will be a lawsuit filed against me and that an official letter had been sent to me. Uh....I never received anything "official", no certified letter, just a photocopy of this so called letter. I'm sorry, if this is legit, I would much rather go to court than to send this so called company any of my info. I also researched them on the internet and the only info I can find is a P.O. Box in Westminster CA and the map on their website, if zoomed in on pings their address at a store named Best of Herbs.
