PLEASE DO NOT GO NEAR UMIDIGI OR ALIEXPRESS. Bought an UMIDIGI phone via AliExpress. Problem started after 4 months and tried to get in touch with the seller, who never answered. After another month, the seller closed the shop, so I tried to talk directly to Ali Express, I have been trying for the past 3 months and I always get the same reply: the buyer guarantee has expired. I then tried to contact UMIDIGI as they offer 1 year guarantee on all their products, but guess what? They never answered my emails and their online customer service (with Chinese 9 to 5 hours) is not active...

Please don't waste your hard earned money on umidigi phone. Specially Indian user stay away from umidigi. I bought one max _ no Volte, no android payment and extremely bad quality camera. Apart from these you will experience very bad service and return policy. 0 star phone

Umidigi One was very good phone for $130. Long lasting battery, decent camera for price, good display and just all around nice budget phone. Much better than $200 I spent for my Moto E5. Can't review on customer service as I expect very little. And I expect no updates. Worked great on T-Mobile USA. But compared to other phones in this price range it's a good buy. Very happy. If it lasts a year it will be worth the money

I ordered F1 directly from the umidigi store. That was three weeks ago and it hasn't been shipped. Customer service is nearly impossible to get ahold of except by chat late at night. The broken english email I finally got said they don't even have the first batch of phones. This is the manufacturer's store! It's been on sale for weeks, reviews are already flowing out, and I never even got an email explaining that it is sold out or anything. If you get an umidigi, which I just wouldn't, don't get it from their store which just looks like a crappy aliexpress page. The website says shipping in three days! I guess not and they wont even bother to let you know why.

I'm going to review the Z2 Pro I purchased several months ago.
I have read a number of negative reviews from several other people; both before I purchased it and after.
I have concluded that 98% of the negative reviewers didn't have a clue about how their phones actually work. There is a certain amount of tech knowledge you need to have to fully understand the true capabilities of this phone.
One user here says that he has to lock his phone screen immediately after dialing otherwise a lot of things start opening while you have the phone to your face because the proximity sensor has a problem. The problem is that you have "face unlock" active. Have you tried resetting both your prox sensor and G-Sensor? I did and it took care of my screen issues.
Others have said that the cameras take really bad pictures at night. I'm thinking that they don't know how to use the cameras properly, because my night shots are stunning. To address the comments that one of the two cameras doesn't actually work; they both work, but one of them adds a level of clarity and depth to your pictures.
In complete honesty the only negative thing I have found with this phone isn't actually the device itself, but rather the carrier I am using it on. It seems like I have constant data connection speed issues. I have had to have Metro by T-Mobile reset my networking connection 3x now.
I use my phone for business, taking pictures of my work and playing games. I play PUBG on it and suffer ZERO lag or stuttering OTHER than those issues caused by T-Mobile's service, on Wi-Fi it's insanely fast.
I have yet to deal with Umidigi customer service in great length. The one conversation I have had with their CSR went fine and was drama free. They answered my question and concerns without fail.

Umidigi Z2pro is what Iam reviewing. I have had my Z2pro for almost 1 year. I bought mine from gearbest so even if you get a warranty dont expect service. Your buying as is. My Z2pro does not have a home, usually if you press the home button it will take you back to your home screen not the Z2pro, Fingerprint scanner works sporadically sometimes 1 scan but most of the times 5 plus or not at all so you use the pin to get into your phone a lot. The proximity sensor does not work so I have to turn my screen off after I dial a phone number otherwise all kinds of things will pop up on the phone you do not want to when your talking. The phone looks nice and takes OK pics in good light but nothing to jump up and down over. I would not buy another one of their products because they do not stand behind the warranty and they sell products that do not work correctly or properly.

My experience so far... My teenage daughter wanted a phone and found Umidigi. I ordered the phone she wanted directly from the company web store with DHL shipping. They immediately charged my credit card for the order and immediately after that the fraudulent charges from around the world began to hit my card. They do not respond to contact attempts and have not shipped the phone. I have had the card I used canceled and am disputing thousands of dollars in credit card fraud. It's a good thing I always keep one empty credit card for sketchy internet purchases;-)

I have bought the Umidigi Diamond X and I am really dissatisfied with the bloatware and the embedded advertisements this smartphone's android version bears. Using the google app on this phone is almost impossible due to practical reasons i.e. whatever address you type the app redirects to an advertising webpage, trying to watch youtube videos is actually next to impossible due to the advertisements opening the web browser app ON THEIR OWN every 96 seconds and thus interrupting whatever you were watching. I only speak about the Umi Diamond X I have no experience or opinion about the rest of this manufacturer's products but among the smartphone specs Umi should also clearly state the "feats" of the android version this smartphone comes with:
-embedded advertising (It's even impossible to detect which app is responsible for these)
-installing website shortcuts and advertisement apps without your permission
Totally unacceptable from Umidigi they should be ASHAMED, I hope this warning prevents some people from doing the same mistake as I did buying this, unfortunately I cannot rate with a negative amount of stars

I bought the Umidigi z2 from an eBay seller name “bestofferoverhere” the screen broke a few days after receiving it. It broke very easily under normal use. Didn’t drop it or anything. The seller refused to offer a refund without me first sending the phone to them. They also asked me to close the case without a refund. They offer me 16$ for the broken screen repair. I finally went and got a quote at a local shop. It was 80$ for the repair if I furnish the screen. After arguing with the eBay seller they said they’d agree with the $80 repair cost and would send me a screen. After nearly a month I still never received a screen nor a refund. The phone is supposed to have a two year warranty. The eBay retailer would not honor it. I tried to contact Umidigi directly but they won’t respond. Finally I was able after nearly two months with a broken screen and having to go purchase another phone out of my own pocket eBay finally issued me a refund. They will get their refund from the seller. This company makes great phones with poorly designed exteriors and horrible distributors. The distributor I delt with was extremely rude accusatory and was a liar. Beware of these phones and especially the retailers that sell them. They truly suck!!!!!!i

BEWARE! I bought an A1 Pro in August from AliExpress. The phone itself is an incredible value, and I love almost everything about it. However, a few weeks ago I began having problems with the USB-c charging port getting sloppy and having to fiddle with it a lot to get the phone to take a charge. The phone supposedly has a one-year warranty, but according to the Umidigi site, one has to contact the seller for refund or replacement. My seller refuses to do more than offer to repay me up to $20.00 for repair. After hours of negotiations, that's the best they will do. Very frustrating!

The phone in question is the Umidigi S2 Pro. I purchased this phone 6 months ago and quite frankly it's not satisfactory. Let me start with the pros, however.
1) Great 5100mah battery, 2 day of normal use no problem.
2) Great design and smooth, sleek back that doesn't attract fingerprints (except for the front glass panel that thing attracts more fingerprints than imaginable)
3) Great screen
4) Awesome camera for closeups, although the HDR function takes way too long.
However, over the past couple of months I've noticed small annoyances that slowly built overtime into frustration. The main one being that the software is absolute garbage. The permissions management is crap, won't allow for me to switch to a third party launcher and FORCES me to return to the launcher it comes with which is trash. The whole point of me buying an Android was for it's customization options, like widgets and third party launchers and apps. I've tried everything.
In addition, the worst part is that the screen, despite it's great resolution, freezes up. All. The. Time. It's laggy when reviewing long pages of text, stuttering and eventually just freezing up altogether. To fix this, you had to turn the phone off and then on again, which is extremely slow. There's a good 2-3 second delay between pressing the power button and the screen actually turning on. The fingerprint sensor is slow and the Face ID basically just...there.
Umidigi, please. Stop bloating the phone with unnecessary software, there's even a bloody TicTok ad everytime I charge the phone. By forcing users to use your "My Launcher" instead of giving them the option to switch to a third party launcher like Nova and setting it as DEFAULT just makes people even more frustrated. I can't even root the phone!!
I get it, it's like, $299, but...cOmMoN.

The phone immediately gave problems. During the phone call the microphone did not work and you did not hear anything. After two days it stopped working. The battery is charged but the phone does not turn on anymore.

Bought Umi one Pro on e-Bay. From day one everything works as per specs. No problems at all. The only complain may be a vanilla Android 8.1 which has removed some useful features from previous version and limits the customization a lot. On a good side there is no bloatware preloaded and it is so easy to root it and then you can do whatever you like with it. My first thing was to swap navigation buttons around as I come form Samsung Galaxy phone (back button is on the opposite side than Samsung). And this feature is built in without any hack or launcher.
One note: when you open the box for the first time and you go to remove the screen label do it very slowly! there is a real screen protector underneath and it will come off with the label. My wife did this and then I had a hard time to find a new protection screen because it is "unknown" brand.
Overall it is a very well built phone. My main requirement in new phone was a dual sim card and wireless charging. Both working well. I have some no brand fast QI chargers and phone is reporting "slow charging" but it pulls over 2.5 amps from the charger. Way better than Galaxy S7.
Some people complain about 720p screen resolution. I think it is just fine as the contrast is good enough to make it up for it. And people keep forgetting it is below $200 (A$250)!
So far I like it a lot.

This really is a great phone for the price.
The problem is that the gyroscope does not work. Probably only necessary for VR apps, but the phone is advertised as having the gyroscope sensor on board.
Google cardboard complains and will not work because of the missing gyroscope. I'm a little disappointed in what is otherwise a brilliant little phone.
Edit: Well it's official - The Umidigi A3 -has NO GYROSCOPE!! The company contacted me thru Facebook to say officially, though it's advertised as having one on board,, it actually doesn't.. after you have my money.. This is the FIRST and LAST time I EVER buy a UMIDIGI product.

So much for participating in the 11.11 sales event for the Umidigi A3 PRO. 1.5 weeks after ordering they claim that the phone is still in production. Kept following up until they claimed the phone was ready to be shipped. Then I was told that I had to pay for DHL because they couldn't send via Aliexpress Standard Shipping, and the DHL shipping fee they requested was >45% of the device purchase price. Now a week later and my phone still hasn't shipped... the phone should be on my doorstep via DHL by now!
