Bought a sim card fromTarget store. Jumps through hoops to get the pone activated. Can call and receive but no internet. The card say 4gig of data paid 25 dollars but no way to access. Called tracfone customer service. Off shore tech support can barely understand what they say. After an hour of frustrating with them but still no dice. Worthless scam. Filipine call center speaks very poor english.

Do not order no phones with Trac phone they are liars. I rated them a 1 view for their survey. They charged my husband account twice 111.39. For the same phone. When he only needed one phone and placed the order with an call representative. They refused to provide tracking numbers but gave an order number it's stealing. Lied about giving him an email for tracking his cell phone. Im disputing the issue with my bank now and he's definitely getting his money back. Our overall experience has been awful! Customer service is awful!

I had been happy for years with Tracfone. Mostly use it for texting. They removed the add-on feature that let you buy 1000 additional texts for $5... Now, if you use all your texts in your plan year, you must buy a monthly service plan that costs a minimum of $15 or $20 per month. This change was made in the middle of my current annual service term. Believe me, texts go quickly, and I've usedall 1500 texts four months into my annual term. Be very careful what you pay for with Tracfone. Hidden costs make this $100 phone now cost over $300 for the year..

Do you guys get the bonus minutes sometimes? Since last year, I haven't been able to get the minutes. Everytime after I input my card number and the bonus code, I always receive a message telling me to call the customer service to complete the transaction. What I got from the customer service is either the code has expired or the system sent me a wrong code. Why are they lying all the time?

I have multiple audio recordings of Tracfone, Total Wireless, Straight Talk and Simple Mobile representatives lying about promotions they offered but refused to honor!
They do not have the best or least expensive plans or the best phones and have THE WORST customer service reps who hang up on you so you have to start all over with hours and hours of explaining even when you try to explain to the next representative that you need a different department and to be escalated.
They prey on impoverished people. They short service at least one day every month if you sign up with auto refill. I signed up with auto refill and they started pounding me with text begging me to put another service plan on a week before it was due then charged more than I authorized, cut my service off 48 hrs early when I asked for a refund and I lost all my rollover time.
You will not receive consistent service with them no matter how much you pay. Your service will drop for hours at a time at least once a week. I have spent hours and hours and hours with technical support from each of these companies. Their chat links dont work.
They will spam you in text and email too!
I'm writing this to warn people, in hope to save you a lot of aggravation by staying away from these unethical businesses!

I bought a phone from Tracfone and the phone never would work would not register, I contacted customer service and for 5 days i was on the phone trying to activate it, it would never activate. I was told i had a bad sim card they wanted to charge me for a new one and my phone was new. I sent the phone back for a refund and they only refunded me for the phone didn't give me my money for the minutes which i didn't use any. This place is a rip off customer service don't know anything. People go to T Mobile they have great deals and customer service is great.

I purchased a tracfone on tracphone website. When my order arrived I was very pleased and anticipated enjoying this phone in the future... when making calls the phonecall cut off With a NO SIGNAL signal alert just after a few min. In the call... I've spent 7 to 8 hour being transferred from one repetitive to another to have a replacement phone sent to me, no one wanted to help me, crazy people to deal with, this is my first time writing a review & of course the first time a bad review I will take down this review once I will receive a new phone, after talking with tracfone for more then 7 hour & they relized that they are simple wrong they just knock down the phone on me what a shame, no words to explain what bad customer service this is,
Hopefully tracfone will understand that they need to work on customer service to make a customer happy

Always sending messages that must be checked so after checking being charged you find out its from FACEBOOK someone you never met eats up all you're minutes I think they running some scam with Facebook if I could get customer services I complain but I don't have any minutes so they get you coming and going (HOW FAR SHALL I BEND OVER SIR)

I was with Tracfone for three days before I had enough. Customer service is the absolute worst. Getting my phone activated was a complete nightmare. After three days I just lost service. I spoke to four people though chat because I couldn't make calls. The first guy told me I had to wait for my number to port. My number ported three days prior. When I pointed this out and asked questions he blew me off and kept saying, "Thank you. Is there anything else I can assist you with?" The last person I talked to gave me a number to call. When I tried explaining to her that I don't have service and don't have access to another phone she said, "Well, you will just have to wait until do you do." I don't think so, sister! I immediately went back to my old servicer. I'm willing to pay a bit more to a company that will treat their customers with respect.
I know I won't get my $30 back. Awful company.

For over three months I've been trying to resolve the problem that my phone can not connect to the towers (no data or text available) twelve different times I have called the customer service spending on average 2.5 hours each time and talk to up to five people each time because they escalated the case to a supposedly higher technical people.
At the end of the long wait and repeatedly turn off the phone, check the settings, reset the this and that, look for such network parameters they hang up while waiting for the last step that finally will solve the problem. Then I had to start all over again or they tell me that they will call back and when I answered they hang up . IT IS A SCAM .
You can hear on the background the chickens and dogs barking when I call.
Finally, I end up getting another service provider because I was fed up with the lack of response.

If I had a choice between Tracfone or a piece of string and two tin cans.
I'll take the tin cans.
Customer is service below sub-par.
Trying to log on to their "so called" website is a complete joke.
I'm a Tracfone customer. Website didn't recognize my information.
What's up with that.
The absolute worst phone service ever.
No if you will excuse me I'm taking my Tracfone to shove it up the sales persons ass
Then I'm going to get my tin cans and string and have a real phone service.
Do everybody a favor and go out of business.

The overall phone service is very good. I have had Tracfone for years and usually don't have an issue - until I need to contact customer service. Many of them don't know what they are doing and don't care about helping. Today their website went down and I had to reach out to a CSR to get more data added. I had to keep trying until I got a CSR who know what to do and who actually cared. It took me 4 hours, but he was able to add data through the chat for me and got me back up and running again. It shouldn't be this way, but unfortunately it is. Most of the CSRs pass the buck and give you bogus answers. If you get Frank through the chat window, you are going to have a good day. Otherwise, you might pull your hair out.

Had tracfones for my sons for three years or more, and it has been a headache the entire time. From phones they sold knowing users would be unable to refill with minutes unless they contacted customer service to a website that won’t process sales, to the need to manually program phones in order to enable the phone to recognize that minutes had been added, I ended up calling customer service on a nearly monthly basis in order to complete the simplest tasks.
It simply isn’t worth the headache.

The good news - if everything works, Tracfone is a simple, affordable wireless service. Easy to check minutes and add minutes online or via downloadable app.
The bad news - if something goes wrong, it's chaos. Plan to spend hours on the phone with CSRs with very little authority. Online chat works a little better. I bought a phone on their web-site, and it's defective. Tracfone will not reimburse return shipping costs or provide a return shipping label.
Conclusion - Tracfone is fine is you have a tremendously low-maintenance situation. Buy your phone locally or on Amazon (if you're Prime) so you can return it if defective. Use the app or web-site to maintain your account.

Tracfone service depends on the network coverage in your area. Overall the service is decent and reliable.
It is ideal for low usage user. PAYGO plans are flexible can be confusing sometime.
I contacted customer service several times for various issues. Normally the issues got resolved quickly.

This didn’t help they only displayed info which I knew already I had to do a lot of research and luckily I got to know a better help I could get who was able to provide me with real time access to the device I needed to view without causing any alarm I spoke with them on plus1510(291)4093%they were absolutely correct with even information provided.

This company has absolutely no sympathy or compassion. I lost both of my parents within 30 days of each other and because I didn't shut off their Tracfone within 90 days of purchasing their minutes, they will not give any type of a refund. This company is HORRIBLE and you should stay FAR away from them. A complete rip off.

I purchased a year service with 1500 minutes talk and text. With 1.5gb data for $120. Great deal right? WRONG. the ad is meant to deceive you into believing you get talk text and data every month. The service is 12 months, but once you use your 1.5 gigabytes of data whether that's over one day or one year you have to buy more. I called to cancel my service, they told me sorry, this is non-refundable. Don't waste your money, this company is a scam.
