Whatever you do, DO NOT order anything from Ted's. I ordered a Nikon 3500 digital camera and it was delivered with a cracked display screen. Ted's refused to allow me to return it unless I paid the shipping. They sent me a broken camera and then they wouldn't take it back. Stay as far away from these crooks as you can.

The product I purchased was a necessity in these days of physical distancing. The item is on special price at this time -- the shipping is over twice the amount of the item (not a camera). My goodness! That seems too expensive. Just wondering whether there is a covid-19 surcharge.

Ted's Electronics absolutely exceeded my expectations. To begin with, I made some honest errors ordering and they fixed everything. I had to cancel, get refunds, and Lisa handled it to my satisfaction. I got the camera I wanted and for those who say the camera's are not new, you are dead wrong. I am completely happy with their service! Thank you Ted's Electronics!

Warning: Ted's Electronics does not disclose on its webpage when a product does not have a US warranty, and if the product fails, Teds refuses to repair or replace the product. Therefore, I recommend that you not buy anything from Ted's. The business cannot be trusted. Here is my story: On September 17, 2019, I ordered an Olympus Tough TG-6 camera from Ted's. The cost was $397.98. Within a month after I received the camera, it began to occasionally fail to start when I pushed the power button. The problem gradually became more frequent, and by the beginning of November it would no longer start at all. I contacted Olympus to inquire about how to get the camera repaired or replaced under warranty, and was told that the camera does not have a US warranty. Olympus told me to direct my complaint to Teds. I returned the camera to Ted's for repair or replacement. Ted's received the camera on December 18, 2019. Ted's didn't acknowledge that it had received the camera or tell whether it was going to repair or replace it, despite a couple of e-mail inquiries I sent it. Then on January 30, 2020, I received my camera back in the mail, unrepaired, with a notice from ted with a "repair estimate" of $314.99, and stating that when Ted's received that amount it would send me "an equivalent new or factory-refurbished replacement product." In the description of problem symptoms, the notice stated "No internal damage/error. Issue not classified as manufacturer defect. Clear signs of accidental damage. Confirmed by Canon [sic]." The camera is in immaculate physical condition, and has not been damaged in any way. It just stopped working within a short time after I received it. So the bottom line is that Ted's sold me a camera for $397.98 without disclosing that the camera did not have a US warranty, and when the camera stopped working within a month or so after I received it, Ted's refused to repair or replace it. I recommend that you not buy anything from Ted's.

Spent almost $500 for a camera. They shipped me a damaged camera. They had me send it back and told me I'd get a new one. They sent me back the SAME damaged camera!
They want me to pay another $15 in shipping cost! Their customer service is a total joke!!

Worst experience in my life! Ordered a camera with missing parts. Took one week to receive only one missing part. I'm the other missing part they told me they weren't going to do anything about it! How is this company still in business. Terrible!

I ordered a camera through Wal-Mart and they had it shipped from Ted Electronics. When it arrived, the display screen was cracked. I contacted Wal-Mart customer service. They told me Ted Electronics would contact me with details for an exchange. After many emails back and forth with Ted, including pictures sent of the cracked screen, they ended up telling me I would have to go through Wal-Mart for an exchange. I am stuck with a broken camera and getting nothing but the runaround from both Wal-Mart and Ted.

They sold me a European model of a Canon Powershot -SX430 is - that doesn't match U.S. wifi frequencies and has no warranty in the U.S. The Canon rep said this camera should not be sold in the U.S.

I ordered a Nikon d5600 camera package as a Christmas gift for a family member on 11/29/19 for 663.38 through the google marketplace. I received the order 12/10/19. However, prior to its arrival, I learned that I had ordered the wrong camera. The shipping box was opened upon receipt but none of the individual package contents were opened or removed from the box. The camera was not touched. The original shipping carton was resealed and returned within the advertised return date (12/16/19). The store refunded only half of the purchase price (331.69), claiming that the "item was received in deep abused condition." I contacted the google marketplace for help but after numerous communications was told that they could not override the seller's decision. A google search reveals that I am not alone in being treated this way by Ted's Electronics. I would strongly recommend against anyone buying from Ted's Electronics or through the Google Marketplace.

I purchased a Cannon 80 D package from Teds as a novice in photography. After some class time and further experimentation I realized all of the Package items were basically junk making it look good. If you are buying a camera body and the most basic lenses and the price seems good then buy it. If you think your getting a great deal because of the other stuff added to it. I'd recommend you keep shopping.

I purchased a Canon Powershot G7 Mark II through Rakuten's third party seller, Ted's Electronics over the Black Friday sales for a Christmas present. I received an order confirmation & also an e-mail indicating item was being shipped on 12/1/2019. On 12/10/19, I received an e-mail from Rakuten advising that their records showed no movement on my shipment, but they were following up. I continued to check on shipment, but there was still no movement on package. On 12/24/2019, camera had still not been received, but Ted's Electronics was maintaining that it had been delivered by USPS as verified by "his contact" at USPS. However, the company could not provide me with a delivery date or an alternate tracking number to verify this information. Given this purchased totaled almost $500.00, I am highly dissatisfied with the service I received as well as the customer service experience from both Ratuken, and its third party seller. I only gave one star as I was required to in order to leave a review. I do not recommend purchasing items through this company. I certainly will not purchase additional products through them. A dispute of the charges has been filed with my credit card company. Ted's Electronic's would not answer phone when I attempted to call them & only provided me with terse e-mail responses. I firmly believe they are a scam & a fraud. After investigating the company in the last couple of days, I advised Rakuten that I would not accept any camera from them.

Bought a Canon DSLR and it came in a different box for a different model, with the security seal broken. No manual with only a quick guide pamphlet in Spanish!!! Upon further inspection, the box is also in Spanish ONLY. The camera was also set to Spanish language. Was this camera made for the Mexican market as another buyer had mentioned? Probably. That's that, but the thing that got me more upset than normal is how they handled my email inquiries. TEDs uses either an auto reply service or someone is actually copy/pasting genetic replies to their emails.
Their robo-reply( 4 times, same reply with 4 different emails from me) stated that the reason for the security seal being broken is because of random spot checks at their warehouse. BULL$#*!! Why would they need to "spot check" their electronics if not for the reason that things aren't always on the up and up. They are definitely moving things around between boxes and handling cameras and accessories, this is when things get a little mixed up, lost and broken, thrown inside any box with obvious mishandling of equipment that someone has or will purchase. This is why if you see "electronics" in connection to NYC, stay away. They are NEVER honest and are mostly do business in unsavory ways.

I bought a Canon T7i from Walmart/TED and didn't get it. USPS never delivered the camera and presented a false and incorrect signature as proof of delivery. I contacted Walmart / TED and the USPS, I registered what happened at the police station and the case has not been resolved until today. I DIDN´T RECEIVE THE PURCHASE

This company is good on sales and fast on shipping, but beware their non-existent Customer Service.
I negotiated 3 times in writing, plus once by telephone, with Ted's Electronics for changes to a Nikon camera kit for items I wanted, and eliminated items I did not need. I paid the price they asked for. They shorted me on 2 small items, an extra cap keeper and an extra 32gb memory card. But the main problem is that I asked for an upgrade to the VR version of the 70-300 Nikon zoom lens, 3 times in writing and again by phone, and paid their price. But they only sent me the regular 70-300 lens.
Shipping costs to here are horrendous, so I didn't want to get involved with returns etc, and offered to keep the bad lens and sell it here, then purchase the correct VR lens from them, at their cost.
They then said that they have no VR lens in stock, so I suggested that they find one at a wholesaler,.. after all they are in New York....
Their Customer Service Department (a complete misnomer) has now delayed me a month, so even if I wanted to, I cannot return it via eBay, even though that is again their only proposed solution.
I have again written to them today demanding that they at least send me the two small items that I ordered and paid for.
I assume that they actually charged me for a VR lens which is about $85 more than the basic lens, and the best they offered in compensation was an insulting $20 for this and the 2 shorted items.
I suggested that they close their Customer Service Department for they don't know the meaning.

I spent just under $700 on a camera. I emailed them after i purchased to confirm that it was NEW and they assured me that it was. The camera i received was clearly Used so i emailed them and began the return and refund process. It took 15 days for them to receive the camera because of their business hours and then they tried to short me 20% of my refund because "Customer was refunded less 20% as he returned his parcel in completely abused condition." I had to call to dispute this nonsense to get my full refund. I am not the type to write bad reviews, i know stuff happens. But this entire process has been a nightmare. I would stay away

I purchased a Canon Power Shot SX60 HS from Ted's Electronics. This outfit sells gray models (not covered under US warranty thru Canon). Within a year (under warranty) we got E60 communication errors. Sent the camera to Canon and they refused the repair because the unit was not intended for sale in the US, but said had it been an American model they could repair it. Called Ted's and they refused to fix it because an E60 error code was not covered by them or by Canon. Stay away from this retailer, you will not get what you paid for.

Horrible liars. I purchased a brand new Canon camera high end, I paid full retail price for it. What is shipped was a used camera, missing Manuel missing other components. This is clearly are use the camera, the box was not even sealed, and you can see fingerprints.
I would stay as far away from this place they are liars and cheaters and sell used merchandise for brand new retail pricing

Ted's sent me a camera that was clearly someone else's previously opened and returned item, but it was represented as "NEW" on eBay. It has taken several emails and two bad reviews posted on my part to finally get a FULL refund for my returned item. So buyer beware still hold true. These people need to be better at how they represent their products. If they say NEW, it must adhere to eBay's definition of "New, unused, sealed in original box." But I AM upgrading my rating from 1 star to 2 because EVENTUALLY, after 2 refund requests, one direct, and one thru eBay, plus getting a refund minus return shipping costs, and writing 2 negative reviews here and elsewhere, the company DID return my full purchase price. So why only 2 stars? It has taken a lot of writing of emails, thru the eBay website, being told that it was indeed new (see photos below - it was not new), and then having to write bad reviews to finally get my shipping costs refunded. PLEASE NOTE that you must ask ahead of time if the camera is truly new, in its original SEALED box, and does it carry a USA warranty BEFORE YOU BUY.

It's kind of funny... when I clicked on the 5 stars, the caption "You love it so much you want to tell the entire world!" popped up, which kinda made me laugh. While I wasn't thinking "the entire world", when I saw the response I got from TED's customer service, I did think, however, that I need to tell my friends about this and make sure I write a good review (which I often forget to do), because I was REALLY IMPRESSED! So here it is:
I am very happy with the Nikon camera bundle that I ordered from TED's Electronics and it arrived on time. It was 3 weeks later that I realized I was missing one item and, instead of receiving one telephoto lens and one wide angle lens, I received two of the telephoto lens'. I emailed the company and received a response the next business day. They apologized and said they were sending the missing item and the correct lens, and even gave me a tracking number. What a sense of relief! No time consuming back and forth to get a resolution like so many other companies tend to put you through. They also answered a question I had, telling me the purpose of an item I didn't recognize in the bundle.
To me, great customer service is the most important thing a company can have, and TED's has pretty much the best I've ever dealt with. I don't think I've ever had a company resolve an issue so quickly and without question... and I'm old enough to have dealt with a lot of different customer service departments over the years. Ted's has a new customer now.

After much deliberation, I finally decided on a Nikon camera, which I then purchased in good faith. Much to my disappointment, when the camera arrived it was the 2015 version. It is now 2019! Yes, it was new, but really?? It is always my expectation that you are purchasing the latest version of the product. Is this an unreasonable expectation? I don't think so.
I will purchase from local store from now on. At least I'll know what I am buying.
