MURDOCH - News Corp site. Known to spread propaganda to further Murdoch's agenda. This makes it inherently-unreliable for news, sorry to say.
Try getting your news from whoever you like , whatever political views you like - as long as they aren't so heavily-entrenched in the business of spreading biased views not based in empirical FACTS. Which is blatantly what is done here, at the Australian and abroad via the media empire. Why? To gain power, as Murdoch obviously is (although you wouldn't necessarily realise this if you only read / view his media empire, would you?)
So, I'm not telling you how to think politically, just that this site is part of a media empire KNOWN to abuse its customers via falsehoods.
This goes on in the UK (Sky Tv/BSkyB + The Times and The Sun, also the defunct News Of The World and the hacking that went on).
I didn't realise that it was so bad in Australia (although Murdoch is from there, obviously), as I expect (in prejudice), Australians to be less tolerant of lies and 'guff' than British people, for some reason! Shame...
One context: calling PAYING CUSTOMERS 'pirates'. Assumedly because they take their freedom of the internet and use it.
That takes the utter p*ss as a lying-propaganda effort! What next, anyone who doesn't lick the President's boots is a 'terrorist' and anyone who doesn't live in slavery to big corporations is a 'pirate'? That is the way the rhetoric from these media outlets is going. Take precautions...
Educate your kids.
Hence 'Child Safety' down-rated a bit for this site - as mental illness via this delusion-spreading is dangerous for impressionable kids.
This is all because people use the tool of the internet for what it's good for - eliminating geographic boundaries. So, instead of being a captive market in Australia, paying whatever HIGHER-THAN-NATURAL-COMPETITION-VIA-THE-INTERNET rates Murdoch dictates, these people PAY - just at the same terms as the US market (and why should the US market be cheaper in the internet age when it costs very little difference, even with satellite links to Australia factored-in)?
These people could just pirate the content, using the powerful tools that non-money-and-power-orientated people invented.
Such people as Murdoch are the sheer enemy of the internet and internet freedom. Which affects everyone on the internet and will become more important in the future, indeed... Know your enemy.
