They helped with everything, explained what I had to do perfectly.

Do not waste your money. The worst product ever. I got a simple audit notice for a mistake I made. They were no help in telling me how to handle the mistake. A simple call to the IRS resolved the problem. BYW, Turbotax made a mistake in not reporting a previous year's refund.

We were kept informed every step of the way. Second time we have had to use tax audit. Would recommend them to anyone.

I bought audit defence for 2014 2015 2016. And sure enough i got audited, i was reassessed and charged $22578 in back taxes fees penaltys. Call for my representive and sent them All my records for court. Went to court. They sent a letter to me saying they didnt receive them even though i had delivery slip. To make a long painful story short. They never helped me i went to court on my own got a little bit taken off. But with intrests penaltys and other intrest i ended up payong a little over $13000. George and his associates are crooks. And will not back you when you need. Worst mistake buying thier product. ... Ive lost my business and the intrest still adds up. Im slowly paying it off but with peneltys and intrest its very hard. Ivwould go bankrupt but dont want to loose my house too.ill never use turbo tax inuit. Againand finally ive been audited every year since as im red flagged.They are total areholes. Rude and biligerant

The most irresponsible and incompetent service, I have ever come across. They are there to steal your money for a totally useless service!!
They are rude, mean and do not even want to help you.
Their partner TurboTax(Intuit) must be their base or a side business, They support each other's corrupt practices.
This country is full of legalized con salesmen and companies.

Useless is more like it, you do all the work and pay them for what absolutely nothing. After month's of wasted phone calls and emails back and forth they offer no results or resolutions. Call one of their competitors if you want actual results, Don't waste your time and money of these partimers.

I agree with Joel's review. The woman who emailed me after I sent her documents wrote in a condescending voice and did not offer any help, said everything was my fault and offered no help, like I was bothering her. A WASTE OF MONEY.

I have a disorder/disability where I do not deal with certain pressure situation very well. The company knows this. I have paid them for Audit Defense for several years and when I finally was audited they played games with me and my mental state. Deborah Herrell from their staff became a bully to me and played emotional games with me via their messaging portal and on the telephone. I asked them to assign me to a tax professional as I paid for countless times and they refuse. Then I asked to communicate with the owner of the company, which they ignored until I asked on the telephone with Ms. Herrell and she told me that is not going to happen. I wonder why Jake Sindt would be too busy to review cases where paid customers feel abused by his staff? I have made every effort to reach him from messages and requests from his staff and all have been ignored.

I would find someone to represent you away from TaxAudit.com and TurboTax recommends them but they do not understand how to work with customers - They have played and abused me.

Bill was very helpful throughout this process. I was updated frequently so I never felt like I was lost or forgotten in the long list of people I'm sure he's having to work with. A big thanks to Bill for helping me understand what my next steps are.

The staff and consultants are professional and knowledgeable. They took good care of my case. And they are quick to respond emails.

Mohammed was wonderful to work with - he provided guidance and clarity to a stressful situation - basically he provided the novocaine to the root canal.

I found the interaction I recently had with my Audit Representative to be less than satisfactory... I'm a paying customer for TaxAudit and while I understand the outcome of my situation, I found my Rep to be incredibly belittling, smug, and rude. I do not recommend.

Duplication after duplication. Excel spreadsheets no good. Each line item separated on, summary page. Then date, amount, description, type of proof and reference. Then attach a receipt. Put in PDF format. Tax representative will no represent you otherwise because you are not following membership guidelines. Received this....

“Per our discussion about revising the presentation of your documents to me. You stated that you are not willing to do any more work or correct and upload the documentation to me properly. I have explained that is a requirement of your membership with TaxAudit. That your refusal would leave me no choice but to submit your case for closure and withdraw our representation”.

Turbo Tax needs to hire professional tax representatives. I have been audited by state and federal in the past with less work to accomplish my goal which was to come to a “satisfactory settlement”, even though I had Audit Defense.

Tax Audit chooses when to assist you in an audit and when not.. Intuit needs to read the reviews of what they are selling its customers. Tax Audit doesn't even know tax laws nor do they keep up with them.. Don't waste your money..Once I told them I was writing their review, they acted as if they were concerned but didn't know the rules.. Intuit needs to hire tax attornys for hire, not Taxaudit.com

i was audited in 2016 for my 2014 taxes. Rep was rude and stated what I needed to do . Which turns out he was wrong. Now 2018 I am audited again for same year costing more money. Don't waste your money. Hire a professional.

EXCELLENT!!! BRETT WAS A MOST DILIGENT AND ATTENTIVE REPRESENTATIVE AND HANDLED A VERY DIFFICULT AUDITOR.

They might be "professional" but they know nothing about taxes. And when they don't know something, they just ignore it. I have been researching and advising them on tax code. Their excuse is that there are too many tax codes for them to know them all. To which I say - get out of the business if you don't know taxes!

I am currently being audited and I had purchase audit defense. I am absolutely shocked by their lack of of professionalism.
All they will send you is canned emails that do not address the issues at hand.
It is very clear that nobody is reading the correspondence or really working on the case.

They have done pretty much zero for three weeks with an IRS deadline just days away.

Currently the best they seem to be able to do is to tell me to 'just ignore the IRS deadline', which would automatically trigger an enormous tax bill for me.

DO NOT BUY TURBOTAX'S AUDIT DEFENSE. IT'S WORTHLESS!
TaxAudit.com is the company that administrates this audit defense service. Their only objective is to get rid of you. They are not interested in your audit or helping your business.

I am a serial entrepreneur and have had many businesses over the years. After 30 years in various businesses I got audited during the Obama IRS years in 2012. Big surprise. After showing TaxAudit.com my source of funds and proof of expenses, they were like, sorry, cannot help you.

They won't even try to help you unless you they can confirm every receipt and every canceled check. But most of us as small business owners in the 21st Century don't even have receipts and canceled checks! They don't exist anymore! I had every transaction recored in MINT, both INCOME and EXPENSES. Oh, the IRS will accept a bank statement for your INCOME, but not EXPENSES!?! What the hell???

Bottom line: TaxAudit.com is WASTE OF MONEY. Don't buy their worthless services. They don't want to help you and they don't care about you. The guy I talked with named Johnathan even questioned whether I was even a legitimate business, trying to make me feel bad for running a business that brought in $20K with $23K in expenses! Every entrepreneur has to start a business somewhere. But TaxAudit.com could not have been more disinterested in helping me. Don't bother. You'll be wasting your time and money.

TAX AUDIT - TURBO TAX 1/17/18
Do not pay for this service. When audited I followed the instructions given to me. However, I was asked for the wrong items needed for support. When I questioned this they then agreed and I had to start the process over. Reminder on a time clock to respond. When I brought this I was ignored. I have over 20 emails to this company, in their portal with no response. I would get a return call once in a while but mainly ignored. I was told not to directly work with the IRS and I complied. However, I do believe I would have had a quicker more accurate picture of what supporting documentation was needed. I am seriously in shock about the level of service I was not given and the nonchalant attitude when this was a huge deal to me. I finally did get some adjusted. But then I was sent yet another letter and when I asked what was missed and why wasn't I explained all that was needed before this and the deadline I didn't get anything from Audit Defense but sign and send back. I am stuck and on my own and I paid YEARS to them for this service. I was taken advantage of and if you paid they did not hold up to the agreement. I believe they should be investigated for their promises/agreements and how they left people hanging to defend themselves.

Thank you Tax Audit. Fast, easy, results. My situation was not a complex tax issue, the benefit of Tax audit was they saved me time. In 2 days, the issue was communicated with the IRS, in 2 months, all resolved.

Taxaudit.com is totally useless, money-scammer service!! I had signed up with this optional service when I used turbotax to file my taxes and wasted my money and so much of my time and finally I ended up using the tax attorney anyways. The agent who was assigned my case was Jessie Reid, who turned out to be totally useless, incompetent and rude lady with no knowledge whatsoever regarding the IRS rules and regulations. Immediately after getting the audit, I contacted them and it took them a week to assign someone (Jessie Reid) and review my case. Then they sent me tons of unnecessary paperwork and forms to fill. It took Jessie about 45 days after receiving the audit to schedule a meeting with IRS despite the fact that I had submitted all their requested documents and paperwork within the first week. Then I found out that Jessie in fact ended up canceling the in-person meeting with IRS and scheduled a meeting with IRS on the phone to save time stating that she was too busy with other clients to go to the in-person meeting. She refused to take my phone calls and very slow to respond in the e-mails re:my inquiry to get any updates for IRS decision after the first meeting. Her first meeting with IRS was on 03/31/2017, and the IRS auditor sent out her report with ($30,374 bill due) in the end of May. I told her that it's quite shocking since I had a strong case and all supporting documents were in my favor. I asked her to contact the IRS again for clarification and she refused. I was so dissatisfied of her work so frustrated that I had to hire a tax attorney to expedite the audit process who in fact did an excellent job and reduced my IRS tax bill to $4482.62 from $30,374 in less than 2 weeks. He personally met with an IRS auditor twice, defended my position, and got all the deductions and depreciations approved. The auditor stated that she had never seen this level of accurate record keeping in her carrier. The auditor also told me that she didn't get all the supporting documents that I had initially submitted to taxaudit representative Jessie. She approved 100% business use of section 179 deduction for my vehicle, home office deductions and business trips and so forth.. without a single question based on my record keeping and receipts (which I had submitted to Jessie in the first week of getting IRS audit). It is beyond my understanding that how did this take more than 4 months to even get the first IRS examination report despite the fact that I had submitted all my documents in the first week. Because of her incompetence, attitude and unacceptable work ethics, we suffered an undue stress and uncertainty for 4 months. It was very obvious that she did nothing but wasted my time and I was very upset with how taxaudit handled everything including her rude responses to my e-mails and ignorance of number of our calls. I am posting my negative feedback and experience online to warn other people and save their valuable time and money.

I think TaxAudit.com is in business due to their inside tracks as it is sold online after you use Turbo Tax to do your returns. I was audited for three years and was given a local person to represent me. This guys dropped the ball so bad that they could not do anything even after I complained to Intuit and they gave me another person. This man could not figure out how to work his computer and he passed an important deadline that could not be corrected.. It was after the idiot was removed that I got an inside person from Intuit itself. That's when I became aware that no one was looking after me. The auditor was only interested in covering Intuit's interests instead of looking out for me, It was not until I hired a real tax attorney to deal with the mess they made that I understood how bad this was. They attempt to do everything long distance and automated as I should have expected from Intuit. It turned out to be too late to correct my taxes. I feel like I got hit with an extra $40,000 due to their incompetence. It may be too late for me but it's not too late to warn others.

Have used there services for over 6 years now. They have saved me the trouble of one audit already. Well worth the price of not having to deal with the IRS goons.
