I've shopped the swap site several times in the last year and LOVE LOVE LOVE Their prices! (Except for shipping fees. Seem stupid to get a few pieces of 2nd hand clothing and have to pay shipping fees. So sign up to their site and you'll receive updates of their sales and look out for the emails that have the free shipping promo code!) If you like clothes and for garage sale prices then go check out their site! You'll find awesome deals and receive your items wonderfully packed withe each item separately bagged for it's safety!

Swap.com has twice in the last month excluded items from my order and charged me for them. They were more pricey items (in the $40 range). The first time I thought it was a fluke, but now that it's happened again, I'm beginning to wonder if it's not done on purpose. I've tried several times (3 or 4) reaching out to their customer service, with no response. They are completely ignoring me. I ended up having to dispute the charges through my credit card company. Save yourself the hassle and shop elsewhere. Shame on you Swap.com.

As a first time customer, I clicked on their "40% off order" in exchange for giving them my personal information- email address and cell phone number. Two major problems: First, the code I was given was bogus- it did not take anything off my order. Complained to customer service and they credited my debit card, but only for part of what they owed me claiming that part of my order did not qualify for the discount. THERE WERE NO EXCLUSIONS DISCLOSED BEFORE I GAVE THEM MY PERSONAL INFORMATION. When I complained, they have refused to respond. I finally had to file a complaint with the BBB all for $38 that they owe me. Very unprofessional and dishonest seller. You will have much better luck at thredup.com for gently used clothing. I attached a screen shot showing their offer that does not mention any exclusions (at bottom of photo). Clearly a dishonest bait and switch tactic.

I received a notification from FedEx that my order was delivered. I never received the package. I tried contacting customer service. There are no phone numbers to call and speak to someone. They make you send an email. I sent an email 3 days ago and have yet to receive a response. This is unacceptable. I will never order from this site again just based on this interaction and this was my first purchase. I will continue to try to contact this company to find my package or issue me a refund. I've never had an issue likw this with tredup

Do NOT send anything of any value to them. The payouts take forever and they are not fair, and you will always owe them money for their "inbound" fee. Use ThredUp instead.

It may take a couple weeks to get your items. Customer service is slow in responding, but good. I received an item that was "petite" but not listed as such. The item was listed as "non refundable" but customer service sent me a free fed ex label to return the items and was refunded for them.

I am super happy every time I shop on Swap.com! Every item I ordered is good quality, trendy and also vintage, but they are priced the same way they would be in a regular, local thrift shop. I have never experienced an easier and better return policy from a store like this, and they have sales regularly. 100% Reccomend!

I used to love this site. It was helpful and reliable. But after my current and ongoing experience, I don't see anything that would make me use or recommend them again. I purchased a number of items in April and had them sent to storage. I was able to ship some to me after they moved in June, putting all shipping on hold for a month at the height of Covid. There were still 5 items that were listed as unavailable. I was told it would take another 30-45 days for those to be available. I waited that time and then checked again in the beginning of October (more than 6 months from my initial purchase when my card was charged" to see if they were able to be shipped and now there is only 1 thing in there. They tell me they are working to "expand capabilities" and the items will not show up "temporarily." That was 2 weeks ago and no one has since reached out to me, No one has offered a refund for my inconvenience let alone to cover the cost for shipping. I am shocked that this company thinks it is acceptable to treat customers like this.

Swap has been my go-to clothing site for my 11 year old son for the past couple years. Great quality with prices you cannot beat, and shipping is quick.
They have items that are brand new, like new, good condition and fair. I've purchased all, never a problem. No stains, no rips, and nothing ever smells.
Swap not only sells clothing. They sell footwear, games, sport related items and many other items. Clothing for all sizes, gender and age groups.
Be sure to sign up for email alerts, they will send you emails when they have a clearance sale, holiday sale or any other type of sale on top of the already deep discounts.
Can't go wrong with Swap. Don't take my word on it, check if out for yourself!!!

Bottom line is I am suspicious of people processing things, pricing them too low then just snapping them off eBay as soon as they list them, having a friend buy or they buy themselves. Thrift stores prevent employee purchases but I don't know if Swap can keep employees from unfair pricing and buying practices. I am not doing anymore business there. I "complained" to Swap via email (no one answering their customer service phone line) about them making all my newly listed items discounted to HALF OFF. No reply, and now nothing is being processed in my queue. You see, it's a Swap.com site policy that all sale promotions do not apply to Top Brands (ever) or to the New Listings (for the first 30 days) so all new listings should be sold full price only for 30 days. It makes no sense that my newly listed clothes, even most of the Top Brands, are all automatically going for half off! No response from Swap. SCARY. Top Brands priced at low prices then mysteriously marked half off on top of that- my profit is practically NOTHING on these! Here's the full story of how we got here: I bought quite a bit on Swap, having found them on eBay. I was too ill to keep up with selling my own smaller inventory on eBay, so I closed my "store". I found ThredUp payouts to be too small. I liked buying on Swap.com so wanted to sell there too, they have a better payout. But in 2018 into 2019 there was a stop on Inbound Shipments (AKA seller account s). So I waited, and waited some more. Finally in latter part of 2019 they opened back up to inbound shipments. Unlike ThredUP where anyone can send in a small bag of things, Swap seeks sellers with 200 + pieces maybe a few times a year. I was asked to send in a "test" box and mine was about 60 pieces. (FYI:They charge a flat inbound box fee no matter the size of the box, within their box size and weight limit, so use the biggest box and pack it to be as close as possible the max of 50 pounds.) My "test box" passed their "rejection" rate. (Rejected items can be returned to you for a small fee, or they can be donated by Swap. Where they go is anyone's guess. That's a concern.) A seller is notified when a box is enters processing, and again when items are "added to your account" which means photographed and uploaded into the online queue to be priced. Another concern is no warning that prices were assigned, and the items made available on eBay. That's because items wait in queue to be priced in between the "added to account" to "available to buy on eBay" step. It can take days or weeks, waiting to be priced and without warning your stuff goes live on eBay and snapped up instantly. That's where I get suspicion, that these are priced low and who else knows they are listed besides the processors, to be able to snatch up choice pieces priced low so darn FAST? Even though my first "test" box went ok I did have a small, niggling doubt about the honesty of the people involved. 2 items listed as fair condition and grossly underpriced, and sold almost immediately. A 3rd higher end 2 piece set never made it to be sold, but was definitely sellable. Unlike ThredUp, whose acceptance criteria is subjective (it isn't "current" or "desirable") Swap is objective. They accept anything (vintage, ugly, cheap i.e. from Walmart) - as long as it is clean and in good repair, they claim they will accept it. (After a few questionable rejects, one does wonder if they truly do donate, or if an unethical worker can reject and take it home.) Use the "Return Rejects" option to avoid that. So, I sent Swap 5 boxes in February 2020 and a 6th in March. Covid 19 caused them to sit months. Finally after 7 months come the notices things were added to my account. Now, October 14th - 6 large boxes processed, 215 items accepted. 73 still need photographed and uploaded in the queue to be priced. They are swamped with work, short staffed too. OK I get it but doesn't explain why selling half price and why (like before) some pieces are priced too low, and magically sold in hours (0 to 1 day). We have no chance to protest. I have called but no one answers. I have sent email asking WHY are all my New Listings and most Top Brands at half price, when unsold items almost a year old are NOT half price? No reply. They did reply to a 2 other emails about listing errors i.e. title was wrong. No reply to why all these BEST things went flying off eBay at rock bottom throw away prices less than $10 or $20. All prices unheard of when compared with like items on eBay, and sold within hours of appearing on eBay. Now with no reply made, all I can do is watch and take things back as soon as they go into the queue, and pay the shipping to get than sent back.

I was having trouble getting a return to process. But after I emailed support they took care of it and I had no more problems. The items I kept were wonderful and great quality (even after being listed as “fair,” but some didn’t fit me just right which is the only reason I needed to make a return.

This company is the worst online shopping experience I have ever had. My sister recommended this company to me, even though she said she had some issues with them in the past (delivering damaged items weeks late, etc...). I placed a small order to see how it would be, and three weeks later it still is not here.
My sister on the other hand - she got a discount for recommending the site to me, and she used it to place a $70 order. The site just decided to cancel her order for no reason - AFTER charging her card. She just rang me up crying after trying to deal with customer service, who were completely unhelpful and downright mean about it.
My sister never cries. Ever. She has been through a lot, and for a company to get to her like this one has is unheard of. She just feels stupid for continuing to use them after the smaller problems she had in the past, and now I feel bad for giving them my money too. It's not even really about the money they stole from her, it is about the disrespect and the fact that CS doesn't have the slightest desire to help.
Not good people at all. Please shop elsewhere.

I used to love shopping with swap.com! Lately, when I try to make a purchase, the prices of some of my items change when I click to check out. I emailed swap about it and they said to go ahead and make the purchase and that they would refund the difference. I believed them because I had had good experiences with swap in the past. They never refunded me and did not have any patience or compassion with me when I asked for help. I am disappointed. Prices should not double as you are trying to pay for your products. I do not plan to use this website anymore. I used to refer people to purchase from them all the time.

Don't buy here. You receive damaged items, even if listed as good condition and they have no customer service anymore whatsoever. They used to be fine, collected a lot of good reviews and then turned into evil scammers.
Also, watch items in your cart as prices will change after you select them.
Just generally dishonest and not cool at all.

Do not believe the better reviews. They are fake. This company used to be fine, but no longer.
They currently owe me $70 for an order they randomly cancelled but kept the money for. No email about it, no contact whatsoever, they just cancelled the order for no reason and kept my money. Customer service is absolutely heartless and does not care even a little bit. Save yourself the grief of dealing with these people and buy from a real shop, in person. They also use the absolute cheapest possible rate with FedEx, so their packages are always late. Seriously, every time. They just don't care about you in the slightest.
