Charter was decent for years. Now the prices go up and up. I only subscribe to internet. About every 10 days I receive a "savings promotion". I had been getting them for a year. Bundle Internet with Cable for $44.99 each. $90 month plus tax fees = over $100 per month. My internet was $44.99 May . Its now November and its now $79.99 and raising steady. Time to say goodbye to Spectrum. After 15 years I am so done. Just not worth it for what I use. Other companies much cheaper and rated better!

Very rude customer service his name is Matt, My computer got hacked 3 weeks ago, Apple had informed that it was through my internet service. They have no protection on their server. They were suppose to discount me $20 less which they didn't discount me 3 months ago. I had to wait for another month extra cause of their own customer fault they had cancelled for no reason. They are very expensive. Stay away from Spectrum. I am trying to look for another server myself. Good Luck.

Today is one week that Spectrum has been unable to transfer 3 lines from Sprint. Spectrum does ONE thing flawlessly - Collect your money in advance! That's it. After that, the customer is an afterthought left to solve every problem and concern themselves. Mistakes happen, that's understandable. It then becomes what actions one takes to rectify the issue.
After 1 week of making the initial payment to transfer and begin service, 1 of 3 phones has successfully been activated. I have contacted Spectrum mobile 3-4 times a day in an attempt to resolve our service transfer. After 20 minutes on hold (minimum wait):
1. I am asked by every Spectrum representative to repeatedly go through the same set of problems I am having with the account.
2. Next, I'm guaranteed to be told my issue can only be resolved by another department. Could be the billing dept. ($0 acct. balance), maybe tech support, and recently a group that resolves priority issues with accounts that require detailed research and resolution. Sounds promising right? Resolution on the way? NO. After being assured a half a dozen times that I would receive a call back, I have yet to receive a response.
Sadly, it seems that Spectrum associates have absolutely no interest in taking ownership of customer related issues. In my profession as an IT sales and technical support employee, I deal, in large part within the customer service arena. I pride myself on service & resolution; particularly when I have made a commitment to someone.
Without question, if I replicated & applied the Spectrum customer service model, I would be looking for a new job, and rightfully so. Spectrum does have talented, friendly, and capable employees... It's unfortunate that management is content and accepting of this business model and culture disappointing

Will not listen to your issues, and raises bills constantly.
I have been promised the same rate for 12 months for 2 years running now and after 2 months they raise the bill. When I call they say they misspoke during the initial offer call and now its more expensive. They won't anything to change your bill.
To make things worse, we are locked into Spectrum in our area because it's become monopolized with the apartment complexes.

🤮🤢 Horrible customer service and unethical staff. They informed me the first 30 days was free and to disregard the bill. I could either keep or cancel at that point and then would be billed starting the next 30 days of service. I got a late bill notification for listening to the sales person, was lied to about the first 30 days being free and was basically told without having a recorded conversation their was nothing they could do. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND UNETHICAL STAFF AND STAFF THAT SUPPORTS LIARS!!!!!

Spectrum TV and internet is so bad they make the old Bright House look great. This is one of the rudest and nastiest companies I have ever had to deal with in my 40 years of business. No one should ever sign up with these people. Short tempered nasty and rude
No solutions for any of your issues and forget their new cell phone branch. Can you imagine have bad that would be. Stay clear of them. I am headed to Frontier asap.

DO NOT GO WITH SPECTRUM MOBILE. They lied and cost us over $1000.00. Even going to the corporate office about this they deny everything. They somehow miraculously can't find the phone calls that proved that they were wrong even after a supervisor found it months ago. I bet they won't lose the call with me confronting them. funny how that works. Do yourself a favor and record all business calls to cover your own assets

Look. I totally believe a subscription of any kind should be upfront, honest and honored. I am elderly, live alone, battling a serious life threatening illness and yesterday after a major surgery (due to SPECTRUM's harassing phone threats of past dues charges owed) I didn't incur authorized as well as promise to TERMINATE ME IMMEDIATELY. ..
I had to deal with** the definitive UNETHICAL BUSINESS PRACTICES OF SPECTRUM.
MY most basic Channel service for ONE TV PLAYABLE in one room only, went from $62.77 to $146.00 without prior notice. My only CABLE difference is this bill is month (13) where "your service rates AUTOMATICALLY DOUBLE!!!" I've paid my bill by phone; every month ONTIME and I didn't see ANY PRIOR request stipulating ** SPECTRUM could (DOUBLE my service COSTS) and now 4 different SPECTRUM reps, playing PING PONG "TRANSFERING ME" for over 5 hrs yesterday ended as: "My FAULT/blamed for not opening my monthly pre stipulated and CONTRACTED $62.77 MO. bill; before I paid it!". WTh! REALLY?
+++ SPECTRUM also added ME a LATINO PKG. ?!?! This 13 month but (I'm CAUCASION and DON'T SPEAK a word of SPANISH) ? their bonus for loyal paying customer's appreciation (also blamed on me; saying" I ordered it") LATINO; hey-
NO I did not++ & They even IMPOSED a (LATE FEE) even though, I paid the $62.77 I contracted for & paid timely all 12 months prior to all these "CUSTOMER APPRECIATION screw us SPECIALS"
SPECTRUM IMPOSE'S this bull on all their LOYAL, PAYING in full CUSTOMERS. WHAT stinks here?
THEIR business model is reasonable rates for:
(New customers only) 😱
SPECTRUM screams "SCREW YOU LOYAL CUSTOMERS" wirh a new, DEVALUED, DOUBLE service rate hike for the exact same service WE ALL had last month (# 12) because that rate is "1 year only- temporary contracted rates" which have NOW EXPIRED.
PAY US DOUBLE RIGHT NOW OR we will DISCONNECT.
Says SPECTRUM REPS:
"We CAN ONLY GIVE THAT RATE you had .. TO our NEW CUSTOMERS only. WOW !!?!?!! HUH!!!!
I was seeking a justified, bill adjustment for their DOUBLE THE HIKE rate I HAVEN'T even USED YET and a disconnect request of future service's for their UNETHICAL (bait and switch rate PRACTICES.).
The 4 reps I finally got on line after 20-30 min holds each ... then BOUNCED me one to another, double talking to me ALL AFTERNOON.
How did I fair, one ask? Well;
SHE hung UP ON ME when I finally asked her to *please* just "STOP PLAYING GAMES" and just do the right thing by removing the UNFAIR CHARGES, late chg and
LATINO package charged me without my prior
AUTHORIZATION FOR any of it!
It would be ridiculously EASY AND also HONEST business practice's for spectrum to **** banner our TV'S at the 13th month to simply
LET US KNOW**
#### saying: "YOUR CABLE RATE WE CONTACTED with you, are NO LONGER VALID. IT'S DOUBLED now because of your loyalty. Do YOU AGREE TO THAT?" BE HONEST SPECTRUM, NOT SNEAKY.
Hum; DOUBLE my rate for your same service BECAUSE I'm no longer valid as a NOT new CUSTOMER . Ahhhh
NO TKS. !!!!
but spectrum even went as far to makeME/"US", (loyal, time paying customers) AT FAULT
for their very slimy, THIEF like
BAIT AND😱 SWITCH PRICE HIJACK & GOUGING. MY FAULT, She said, 'YOU should have read your 3 page bill front to back.' Who does that on a monthly draft pay?
SHAME ON YOU SPECTRUM😱😱😱😱 operating like I'm/WE ARE the hijacker's and not you. My account was paid in full, on time, every month for 12 months and YOUR REPS played ping pong games with me
all afternoon, then REFUSED TO remove Your unathorized charges for unauthorized price jabbing. CROOKS. !!!
There is NO OTHER NAME for your gouging your LOYAL CUSTONER base and subscribers.
Reasonable rates are for our """ NEW CUSTOMERS ONLY?!!"""""
Per SPECTRUM. Good grief
and the masses are replying as so they should.

I can't give a perfect review - after all, I've been marred by problems with Spectrum since I first signed up with them. But I have to give a major shout out to a James Martin from the Riverview office.
This was at around 7:45 at night, and James sounded extremely tired. But he was still patient and understanding throughout my problems.
This was the 3rd or 4th time I've had to call about billing problems on the side of Spectrum in a 4 month period. During that time, and to this day, my service had been marred by constant problems and random spikes of high latency. As somebody who games to supplement his relatively low income in a highly competitive environment, this is an unacceptable situation.
My 4 star review was exclusively for David. 1/5 for Spectrum in general.
I've been a customer of theirs since 2012, albeit indirectly, since the days they were still Brighthouse. Over the past 4 years and 3 houses, I've seem a distinct lack of quality from their service, that seems to drop further and further the longer it goes on. This is the first year the service is directly in my name, and I'm at my wit's end. It is interfering with the businesses of myself, my fiance, and our lifestyle. If things don't improve by year's end, I'm considering switching service next opportunity, preexisting equipment be damned.

Spectrum customer service +1855-947-4746 claims it is just a phone call or a click away from you. To get reliable or toll-free support number spectrum online phone number directory. Your just one call or an email will be enough to hire your personal assistance to overcome from your problem or technical issues.

Absolutely the worst since they bought Time Warner. My 90 yr old mom decided to go with antenna and canceled TW, got gray antenna stations...then she decided since its the holidays to get cable. Was installed Sept 10.....I canceled it yesterday...worst service ever. Only had cable, no internet or phone bundle. Cable would either freeze up or just not get anything. Last nite was last straw, I disconnected all 3 Tv's, and put back antennas. Called them, was on hold total time over 1 hr...just put it this way, SPECTRUM SUCKS. I'll NEVER have them again....oh also...the $45.99 a month package turned into almost $90 a month. No way. Ever again. BEWARE PPL.!

I have paperless billing and noticed a rate hike on my Oct Bill. The increase was only $4/month but still...$70/month for 100mbs of service. Stuck with them until we get more options in our area. The excuse of the rate hike was that the cost of technology is increasing. I was told that in a few months we will get up to 200mbs for "free". I can't wait until they have a competitor in our area and we have more choices for our internet provider.

I pay for 100 Mbps. For the last 7 days my service has downloaded at 1.4 Mbps. 1% of what I pay for. Called spectrum...got run trough the "I have no power or information." customer service BS. Said there was an outage on that day. (Service has been crap for a week, I just called today.) Said they would call me when fixed. Got the call checked my download speed 1.4 Mbps. This is a scam they can in no way provide the service they are selling. Read that they did the same thing in New York. I want in on the class action in California. One has got to be going or in the works. Do not purchase this service.

Where to begin.
I've only been w/ Spectrum since May of 2019. I pay for their higher-tier internet speed, and have had to have workers come out to service my connection four times already. Twice I was told there was nothing wrong and the problem must be "interference"; both times, subsequent visits determined the problem *was* actually Spectrum's fault.
Worse, I signed up for a free, weeklong trial of their streaming service, TV Choice. The selection did not suit me so I called up 5 days into the trial to cancel. The next month I was charged for using the service. I called Spectrum, who confirmed I had canceled my trial; they said they would submit my request for a refund and that they would contact me within 5 days about the results. Not only was I not contacted, they continued to charge me for the service! I am *still* trying to get the cancellation confirmed and the extra charges removed from my bill - which is especially frustrating given their wait times for customer service are almost always >45 minutes!
Sincerely one of the worst experiences I have ever had with any company ever. That they hold a monopoly in certain regions is criminal. If you can avoid their service, please do.

Spectrum increased their price without any reason and there is no equally good service I can switch to. I must suck it up and pay the extra price or cancel my internet and go without. I seems wrong and anti-American. Isn't there something we the people can do? Plus, their customer service is horrid. The only reason I use this company is because there is no other good options.

Not sure why - but Spectrum changed the way you can view your taped programs. It is totally ridiculous and should go back to the way it was before.
Before, all the tv shows were lumped together, showing the season it was taped and which version, that way you could figure out which show to watch first in succession. Now, they decided to list each and every program by themselves. You have to scroll through alot to get where you want and you cannot see which season the show is and which show to watch next. Also, if you are watching something and in the middle you want to delete it, you have to then keep scrolling to find the one you were watching to delete it. This is making the tv watching a REAL problem and SPECTRUM you should go back to the way it was!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

was watching game 2 of MLB playoffs between the yankees and astros. During the 11th inning, there was a pitching change then all of a sudden, the cable service freezes up. In desparation, I tried to reboot the cable service. By the time the cable is rebooted, the game is over. Worst yet; as i they begun playing the review of how the astros won the game, the cable service decided to run updated software. As i am writing this review, the damn cable is still running software updates. How can the most exciting part of the game be cut off by crappy service. I am paying for a bunch of bs service that is unreliable. P.S. This is just my latest of many issues I had with Spectrum since this service became Spectrum. Bunch of crap.

I offer this review as a cautionary tale for all Spectrum subscribers and prospective subscribers. It may seem easier to just pay the extra fees and/or tolerate diminishing services, but by doing so, you're sending a clear message to Spectrum that reads "Thank you, sir. May I have another?" And be sure that you'll get "another"...and another and another. What you tolerate becomes your standard.
My Ongoing Experience with Spectrum
After many shady (at best) billing practices by Spectrum, I recently cut my TV and Voice service, retaining only Internet. I EXPLICITLY ASKED the representative whether I would be charged for those services once they were turned off. He told me that I WOULD NOT BE CHARGED as of my disconnect date. When I called a few days later to get my updated amount due I was informed that I would have to PAY FOR SERVICES I WAS NO LONGER GETTING through the end of the billing cycle. Since "Sharter Rectum" had the legal agility and foresight to put a teeny tiny (albeit, unethical) mention of this intent on a billing statement months earlier, those charges are now deemed "valid." A billing statement that is lousy with fine print, propaganda, advertising, and the like. Make no mistake, friends, the executive team at Charter Spectrum know damn well that people don't read their billing statements, certainly not word-for-word. In fact, they count on it! How do I know? I used to work for them, not by choice but by means of buyout. And, no, I did not lose my job through severance, layoff, or termination. I left because I could not stomach working for such a greedy, evil, unscrupulous, anti-people (employees and customers) organization. This new billing practice is simple EXTORTION wrapping is legal Teflon.
noun: extortion; plural noun: extortions
the practice of obtaining something, especially money, through force or threats.
Does that seem extreme? It's not, and here's why...
Charter Communications ("Spectrum") wants to (OBTAIN MONEY) from me (for services they are not providing) OR they will cut off my service and report the lack of payment to the credit reporting agencies (THREAT). This is the VERY DEFINITION OF EXTORTION, is it not?
When I was denied a billing adjustment for services that were no longer being provided, I asked that they restore my services through the end of my cycle (being that they were insistent that I had to pay for them). This seemed like an equitable solution; if I'm paying you for services, you provide said services. I didn't even ask for a credit for the 6 days that had passed since the disconnect (that I scheduled based on their representative's lie). They told me I would HAVE TO PAY TO HAVE SERVICES (THAT I WAS ALREADY PAYING FOR) TURNED BACK ON. Yes, you read that right. My brain was scrambling at this point...is "audacity" the right word? Cantankerous? Impudence? Yes. They were all the right word.
Is Sharter Rectum that desperate for money? Not according to their stock prices which are currently hovering at $437 a share. As a means of comparison, Comcast's stock is struggling at $45 a share. So, what's Spectrum's motivation here? Greed...pure, unfettered, greed. In 2016, Charter Communication CEO, Tom Rutledge, earned $98.5 million in compensation due to $80 million in option awards and just over $10 million in stock awards after the company closed the acquisitions of Time Warner Cable and Bright House Networks.
They don't need to extort us, they just want to. If you told someone they had to give you $300 for nothing and they did, isn't it reasonable to assume that someone else would give you $300 for nothing? It would certainly be worth a shot. Well, that's Spectrum's approach. If you tolerate these (at best unscrupulous) practices by Charter Spectrum, there is no motivation for them to change their practices. So if you want to continue to see price hikes while losing services, by all means give your hard earned money over to an evil corporation who employs people who are looking for ways to get even more money from you. However, if you have a provider option...exercise that option and send a message to Spectrum that we will not tolerate this consumer pillaging! You don't need to cut the cord...you just need a new cord.

When I called the agent and gave the DATE, TIME, AND AGENT NAME AND ID of the person who gave me the "One-year price guarantee," I was told this ... "We're so sorry you feel that was misleading. What was guaranteed was your DISCOUNTS, not the base pricing. Our base pricing was just increased. But your discounts are guaranteed." Whiskey Tango Foxtrot (see the acronym)? I've been a loyal Spectrum customer even when offered deals by other providers. I'm logged into their website to pay my bill, the website has a button to check for offers. I click this button, and it offers me internet for a discounted rate for 2 years compared to my current rate. I call to set it up, and they say that I'm ineligible. I'm not eligible for ANY offers in fact unless I Increase my service because I'm not a 'new' customer. Time to start shopping for another provider.
